I like how he sounds upset in a way that isn’t just angry. He’s confused and disoriented after being in stasis for 50 years. The first person who might be like him jumped out of a GUN helicopter, an enemy. You can hear his disappointment.

Yeah, that exchange about them looking alike really felt like the writers trying to get a similar interaction in, even if they didn’t have the mistaken identity aspect from SA2. A simple thing, but a nice little nod to the source material.

I love that Shadow almost sounds DISAPPOINTED when he says "you jumped out of a GUN helicopter." Like he feels betrayed but confused as to why he'd feel that way. Keanu did his homework.

I just noticed how they all have different gloves.
Sonics is soft, knuckles is boxing gloves and shadows is like biker or space glove material. So interesting.

I can’t recall the names off the top of my head, but I’m pretty sure one of the head honchos working on this movie also worked at Blur Studios back in the day and actually made the CGI cutscenes for Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic 06

To be fair, Shadow asking Sonic, "Why do you look like me?" makes more sense because in the movie's canon, Shadow existed decades before Sonic was even born.
You can hear how hurt and emotionally betrayed shadow feels with every line delivery. They’re really pulling no punches with shadow’s grief.
Yeah, I can already tell he's gonna be a complex character with emotion and depth.

I like how Shadow is DEEPLY offended that Sonic _asked_ why he looks like him.
It’s amazing how detailed shadow is animated. You can see the confusion and (slight) fear when he says “Why do you look like me?” Because he really doesn’t know what’s going on. I’m glad they didn’t just make him angrily stare constantly and gave him a lot of depth.
Sonic is literally the first other hedgehog he sees. Imagine if for a moment he fears Sonic is another creation like himself, the confusion that would make

@diamondknight8587honestly i think that would have been better than the robotnik joke! instead of just pointing out the similarities in appearance and staring at the camera this would require some extra knowledge of the casting or knowing who keanu is ( i dont :) ) and wouldn't break the pace as much as this scene involves characters against each other meaning there's not much time that can be wasted

In the movie canon, at least from what I remember, GUN was established after the events of the first movie. But since it’s a government organization, it’s still the same thing. Shadow has no interest in talking to anyone associated in any way with G.U.N.

Add to the fact that 50 years ago, he must’ve believed that he was the only one of his kind, so he must’ve been shocked on the inside seeing creatures who are almost like him.

You can hear the disgust in Shadows voice in "You jumped out of a G.U.N. helicopter, there's nothing to talk about."
It's clear he can't even hide it that someone so similar to him, even though he just met this person, is working for G.U.N.
One more subtle thing is when you look at the movement of his eyes when he says that line, you can just see the pain in his eyes seeing that someone like him sided with gun. It's like he sees a part of himself in Sonic, about once being aligned with the people who took away Maria, and for just a second he reflects on his time with G.U.N., and the pain and regret and anguish resurfaces amongst his rage.
This. Scene. Absolutely. Kills. It.
Something I also appreciate is you can see confusion on Shadow’s face when he’s saying “why do you look like me?” even if it seems to be there for only a second.
The details in this one scene are outstanding, can’t wait for next week!

I would like to know what the soundtrack will be called, when the movie comes out I will watch it first and then I will look for that soundtrack that is heard when Shadow hits Knuckles and Sonic and Tails. I really liked that soundtrack and I don't know what happened but when I heard that soundtrack for the first time while watching the clip for the first time I already liked it a lot.

This scene is perfect, the lines, the CG animation is perfect. This is giving me chills. including incredible references to previous sonic games. Keanu Reeves is perfect as Shadow... This movie is going to be the best Christmas present from Paramount.
While I'm still partial to Kirk and Jason as Shadow, Keanu Reeves absolutely nailed this f**king role. He KNEW what he was doing, and voicing Shadow had real high expectations.
