He's only normal by DB standards. The fact he was more than a stain when Cell yeeted him into a mountain is already a bigger durability feat than anything The Boys verse ever produced. Humans in general are a lot more durable.

Here's how I see it going down: The moment Homelander realizes that Satan's working the crowd against him with his charisma and he can't get it back... he's already lost. Homelander is one of the vainest characters in fiction. He'll lose control, lash out, become predictable... and Satan will capitalize on that with everything. Hell, if the situation allowed him to meet The Boys before the match, he'd run an entire exposé while they're fighting.

Mr satan actually helped save the planet several times through his popularity. In GT, he fought with the Z fighters and offered his life to save pan from baby. In super he gave goku a lot of money because he acknowledged that he was the real hero, he spent quality time with pan and was willing to get buu to fight in the TOP.
Honestly homelander would probably still win due to speed and lazer vision. But it's worth noting that Hercule has WITH FULL CANON pulled a freaking bus with his bare hands. and this wasn't him faking he really did this. He's also fast enough to vanish from sight even if only for a brief instant so even if he's slower than homelander he's no slouch. Honestly with his physical abilties if he learned even basic Dragon Ball levels of Ki it would easily be his win.

People tend to forget that dragon ball has some really strong power creep. This shows how strong satan is that the verse has to equal out the other characters strength just to survive around him.
My favorite genre of video is someone pointing out that the Dragon Ball scaling is so high that fodder characters are technically team-busting threats when in other verses
This is comparing a fake pretend hero who wishes he could have all the power in the world to an actual hero who was humble and smart and who’s saved the world once and assisted in saving it another time. Hercule is an actual hero and not just a celebrity pretending, remember he’s the same regular human who went after Majin buu and saw the good in him and could nurture that good! Not only that but upon ending up on the kai’s world he actually stands up to kid buu (after he spit out fat buu) in order to defend him. This man had seen the horrors that kid buu could cause and knew he was the last human alive but despite that he stood strong to protect his friend, even managing to dodge a good few of kid buu’s attacks in the process. To be fair, even if maybe it's not scaling that much (and also GT is non canon) we need to remember how older Satan STILL one shotted a group of Baby infected people, and I'm like, half sure Baby infected persons do get some kind of power boost, so even at one of his lowest canonical power (to argue if Cell saga Satan was weaker or not) he still scaled massively above regular humans.
not only is Mr Satan able to accidentally dodge kid Buus attacks making him at least at light speed (kid Buu is at least massively faster than light) but he has a power level of over 100 making him around moon level but if Homelander launches Mr Satan into space Buu would save him (you could say that’s cheating but throwing Mr Satan into space and letting him die by natural conditions isn’t exactly a fair fight) Homelander also most likely couldn’t throw him all the way up there to where he can’t just fall back down.

Given that neither character can really damage the other the battle would probably come down to hax and personality. Homelander could pick Mr. Satan up and fly him into space or a volcano or the middle of the ocean and that would kind of be it. He could also try intimidating the skittish Hercule into giving up. He'd have to put on a very good performance for that since Homelander is a good 3 inches shorter than Mr. Satan.

Nice assessment. I think it might be a stalemate, but I want Hercule to win, because despite his cheapness, his posturing, and his clownish idiocy... he's a good person at heart. When the chips were down, he bluffed his way into saving the world (using his rep to fuel the spirit bomb, calming majin Buu...) He even just gave Goku a suitcase full of cash if I remember correctly because later on, he knows he's not the best. But he still uses his absurd talents to help people. He's actually a great underdog hero.
Arguing that the attack effected Buu and thus must ve equivalent isnt necessarily true, as Buu's body is so malleable thay even bullets have warped it. But I do fully agree that Hercule blitzes Homelander and then cheats hisbwaybto victory.

A better verse to insert Homelander might be the Hunter X Hunter verse. Could he beat Meruem or would even the royal ants be too much for him? What about Homelander vs the Phantom Troupe? How does Killua's speed compare to A-train?

Everyone dunks on Hercule, but remember before he got punched by cell he genuinely thought he was facing a City destroying Terroist and was ready to throw down. Man maybe be a showboat, but hes a showboat thats able to punch through steel and haul busses with nothing but his own strength and training.
He does deserve credit. He played key roles in defeating both Cell and Kid Buu in situations where he knew the degree of danger he was in. Even Piccolo admitted that his befriending of Buu came closer to ending the threat than anything the z-fighters had done at that point, and he legitimately respected Satan for it. At the end of Z, the main characters genuinely have respect for Satan because even though his claim to be the world’s strongest is fraudulent, he has legitimate feats of heroism.
Homelander should not be assumed to be capable of surviving a nuke. And certainly not a Tsar Bomb. The comic tells us that a nuke was kept in his proximity as a fail-safe when he was growing up. And it was made pretty clear that it WOULD succeed in killing him. The issue however came about when he was granted freedom of movement. They still wanted a fail-safe in place, even after he seemingly proved that he could be relied on as Vought's leading hero. And it was judged that a nuke would be impractical, both due to the collateral damage, and due to the fact that he could potentially escape the blast radius or destroy the delivery system. Which led to the decision to create Black Noir (his clone in the original continuity) to shadow Homelander's movements and kill him if he went out of control. Being given the cover story of being Homelander's sidekick.

And they decided they'd need a new method after he grew up and became mobile because a nuke was no longer "practical". Not because it wouldn't work. But because his new freedom of movement would mean they could no longer detonate a nuke in an environment with few casualties. The final arc shows how durable Homelander and his clone are when faced with military hardware. The results are pitiful. Depleted uranium rounds and tank rounds from just a small force of soldiers, humvees, and tanks are more than sufficient to mobility kill them. They do not have a prayer against a direct hit from a nuke.

Hercule is an actual hero and not just a celebrity pretending, remember he’s the same regular human who went after Majin buu and saw the good in him and could nurture that good! Not only that but upon ending up on the kai’s world he actually stands up to kid buu (after he spit out fat buu) in order to defend him. This man had seen the horrors that kid buu could cause and knew he was the last human alive but despite that he stood strong to protect his friend, even managing to dodge a good few of kid buu’s attacks in the process.
Even if he’s not the strongest hero in dragon ball, he will always be the truest in my mind

Given that neither character can really damage the other the battle would probably come down to hax and personality. Homelander could pick Mr. Satan up and fly him into space or a volcano or the middle of the ocean and that would kind of be it. He could also try intimidating the skittish Hercule into giving up. He'd have to put on a very good performance for that since Homelander is a good 3 inches shorter than Mr. Satan.

Nice assessment. I think it might be a stalemate, but I want Hercule to win, because despite his cheapness, his posturing, and his clownish idiocy... he's a good person at heart. When the chips were down, he bluffed his way into saving the world (using his rep to fuel the spirit bomb, calming majin Buu...) He even just gave Goku a suitcase full of cash if I remember correctly because later on, he knows he's not the best. But he still uses his absurd talents to help people. He's actually a great underdog hero.

Everyone dunks on Hercule, but remember before he got punched by cell he genuinely thought he was facing a City destroying Terroist and was ready to throw down.
Man maybe be a showboat, but hes a showboat thats able to punch through steel and haul busses with nothing but his own strength and training.
He does deserve credit. He played key roles in defeating both Cell and Kid Buu in situations where he knew the degree of danger he was in. Even Piccolo admitted that his befriending of Buu came closer to ending the threat than anything the z-fighters had done at that point, and he legitimately respected Satan for it. At the end of Z, the main characters genuinely have respect for Satan because even though his claim to be the world’s strongest is fraudulent, he has legitimate feats of heroism.
Homelander should not be assumed to be capable of surviving a nuke. And certainly not a Tsar Bomb. The comic tells us that a nuke was kept in his proximity as a fail-safe when he was growing up. And it was made pretty clear that it WOULD succeed in killing him. The issue however came about when he was granted freedom of movement. They still wanted a fail-safe in place, even after he seemingly proved that he could be relied on as Vought's leading hero. And it was judged that a nuke would be impractical, both due to the collateral damage, and due to the fact that he could potentially escape the blast radius or destroy the delivery system. Which led to the decision to create Black Noir (his clone in the original continuity) to shadow Homelander's movements and kill him if he went out of control. Being given the cover story of being Homelander's sidekick.
Blacknoir was the most idiotic failsafe they could think of.

@@CZ-PC No it didn't. We're told that he grew up with a nuke ready to go off if he ever looked sideways as a kid. And they decided they'd need a new method after he grew up and became mobile because a nuke was no longer "practical". Not because it wouldn't work. But because his new freedom of movement would mean they could no longer detonate a nuke in an environment with few casualties.
The final arc shows how durable Homelander and his clone are when faced with military hardware. The results are pitiful. Depleted uranium rounds and tank rounds from just a small force of soldiers, humvees, and tanks are more than sufficient to mobility kill them. They do not have a prayer against a direct hit from a nuke.
