One of the funniest arguments I've heard for goku winning a lot of equal stat fights is by basically turning him into a sniper. The argument goes like this ki blast have a lot of range Goku can fly and use instant transmission so Goku can beat any pure melee fighters in an equal stats fight. Now technically this argument is true but it's hilarious how out of character it is.

Prep time seems kinda cheap in most vs battles. Usually only one side is allowed prep time, and the fact that someone needs that advantage proves that they aren’t in the same league as their opponent. The only time it’s fair is if both have prep time or if one character can time travel, meaning that prep time is a natural ability/advantage that they always have.
Tbf, when Goku uses prep time he’s usually focused on making himself stronger through strength training, or getting things like senzu beans. Neither of those would help much against the stuff Batman would bring with his prep time.

I’m just not sure if there’s any precedent for him having a way to deal with the nanobot messing with his brain. Maybe he could ask Bulma for something to protect him from it if he knew it was coming? But does prep time allow for outside assistance? Idk.

He was also predicting where hit would appear in the future, told him that he was predicting him so hit would mix him up, and still was predicting him. Though batman has way more impressive feats, like tricking a nigh-Omniscient being, and waaay better future predictions. All in all Goku has better marital arts, but batman just has higher level perception

I think you’re mostly right, but I do think the take “Goku’s never fought anyone with his skill level,” is straight up wrong, and that you missed one thing.
The thing in question: In the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai, Goku uses the wind punch technique-Whipping his hand so hard he sends a gust of air forward on Chi-Chi. This is directly cited by Piccolo to be apart of the Demon Folk’s/Demon Clansman/Demons fighting Style/Move. So Goku would also seemingly know extraterrestrial fighting styles (Batman has similar, as recently he styled on Supergirl with a KRYPTONIAN Fighting Style she didn’t even know.)
Second, Grandpa Gohan and Roshi served as Goku’s Martial Arts equals, but even ignoring that, it’s not just Cell. Goku Black, the Goku Doll (in the Anime), himself in Image Training, there’s Android 21 (given you used the films I believe it’s worth noting), and copies of himself in FighterZ, so on and so forth. Just generally speaking, it has happened decently enough to say that copying him-(Which is basically everyone at this point, with Granolah gaining his abilities via wish, Buu’s mimicry, Broly’s adaptable copy martial art, etc.)-Would not be effective at all and that he can certainly handle people of his own skill level.
That said, Batman has MORE feats of this, so I’m not campaigning for Goku’s victory. I just think you overlooked a detail or two.
yes the demon clan fighting style techincally is the namekian fighting style. Plus Goku has his saiyan instincts
There are multiple martial artists with that copying ability, especially Shiva , Whom at one point was not as skilled as Batman.

He survives this. By pulling off a secret gadget he's never used and never uses again. That just conviently happens to be in the one part of the costume that wasn't removed. That also just to happens to hit a pirahna. That a shark eats. And starts a fight which leads to a shark biting NOT BATMAN but the fucking chains restraining him. Without even hurting batman. And saving him. All in the time span of 15 seconds.

Ay great vid but Goku's counter to pressure point should more impressive than you gave credit for, he was doing that while ssj blue. Granolah had a eye specifically designed to pin point those vitals no matter how fast and strong you are, as stated by Granolah when he was bodying ssjb + UI, then for Goku to adapt to it with only ssjb while adapting to a stronger Granolah should mean something to your point "even if Goku was to shift his vitals, Batman would still likely hit a vital somewhere". I don't know maybe Goku was doing it instinctively because he was still getting perception blitzed by Granolah but was still able to accomplish this feat, Batman must have extremely difficult time accomplish what Granolah couldn't with superior speed, and special eye while with stats equalized Batman will only as fast as Goku, on top of that silver haired was stated to have no such weakness by the Granolah clone.
The intention is not to change entire outcome but Batman wining through pressure should be invalid.

@@StevenJones851 UI is basically a direct counter to that sort of thing, and he's capable of using it in base without meaningfully taxing himself. Without that I could maybe see the wonder woman strategy working, but he also detects opponents by changes in air currents, not just ki. He'd know pretty quickly that something was wrong.
With UI there's zero chance of this working, as he'd immediately know that there was no real physical threat against him.

goku in his base form was able to follow gas and granola having a IT fight. In his base form was able to know exactly what a clone of tien was about to do with his back facing him. He reacted to a teleblitz from granola. In his base form was able to predict where hit a time manipulating assassin with 1,000 years of experience who had ssb level stats, was skipping forward in time and vanishing, and was making himself unreadable would be. Goku in his base form also tagged hit, reacted to his attacks and was keeping up with him. At one point he moved to a location hit would be before hit got there.
He can also sense malice. Is able to predict exactly what someone's going to do without looking at them. And goku's instincts made his body avoid an attack he couldn't sense that would've ended him. This is all without ui. And in ui goku's moves get more fine tuned. Goku can also match attacks at the exact speed and angle and cancel them out. Base goku was beating ssj 2 caulifa with his skills. And when using ui in base it made goku with his eyes closed easily avoid attacks ssj vegeta was struggling with. Goku can read someone's movements and is capable of adapting. I don't see batman beating goku in equal stats. Especially if goku can use ui.
Also god bind. IT. Clones. Barrier creation around himself and his opponent. Kiai attacks. Soaring fist. Healing. Skin tight ki barrier that can block out absolute zero temps and block out poison that rots the body and causes blindness.
Base goku caught off guard was resisting hakai that golden frieza put him in. Ssb goku using ui made fully awakened granola's vital attacks not be effective and fully awakened granola took out ue vegeta's strongest attack and beat him.
If we are using balanced stats then Batman's gadgets should also be banned. No batarangs, no knockout gases etc...
Without fancy gadgets Goku would pummel Batman.
Batman isn't even the most skilled martial artist in DC. That title belongs to Wonder Woman.

Okay, before watching I am gonna put down my opinion. I love batman, favorite superhero. Goku stomps, always.
Goku has been training in martial arts with the greatest teachers on earth since childhood and with universal teachers for most of his adult life. While batman has more consistently specific labels on his training, Goku has had arguably better teachers and a wide range of techniques to use.
Random encounter, no contest Goku.
Prep time, Goku doesn't have the same easily exploited weaknesses as superman. There are no miniature red suns provided by the atom, no kyrptonite weapons, no magical artifacts that can neg Goku or his durability. And considering an off guard Goku tanked a hakai in canon I don't know what batman could possibly offer that has the same outright hax as existence erasure. Unless maybe he gets his Crisis suit that was literally armor made of the ability to manipulate plot(a hliarious but I am guessing unintentional commentary on how batman is viewed by a lot of people).
So after you watched the video, has your opinion changed on the 1st and 3rd rounds? Just asking

After RoshI and Gohan, AT BEST, maybe Popo. He's never shown to be training to be a better fighter. And he doesn't have that many more moves than Batman. He has basic ki attacks. Maybe you can give him all of the Z fighters shit but that's an extra shut that's just copying and pasting what he can already do.
In real life Goku would use Karate, Kung-Fu and Muay Thai, and Batman would use Ninjutsu, Keysi Fighting Style, Judo, Kung-FU, Box, Muay Thai, BJJ ... Goku is a striker and Batman is a striker that uses grapling for stelth takedowns ... both have one of the best fight IQ.

Yes, he almost won the world martial arts tournament as a kid. Roshi had to step in from stopping him so he woulnt realize he was already peak martial arts.
For the equal stats I think that Bruce instints are still not comparable to ultra instint that can theraticly help to doge attacks faster than yourself, like when Goku and Vegeta were shot from the forest by Granola. And the time skip prediction looks better. Granola could see vital points yet Goku countered. I think Goku could be better.
But even if Bruce has hand to hand Goku´s habilities are far better than Batman´s arsenal: Ki blast are more flexible can be redirected better than the batmerangs. Goku can fly, make shields, telekinesis, teleport, make a giant proyection of himself, ilusions and fighted all kind of tricks with Zamasu, Moro, Granola and Gas.Not to mencion Goku can resist against oponents hundrets of times stronger(ssj blue vs Gas)
Batman's reacted to the Flash and Superman on numerous occasions, and he still mastered that technique casually, while it takes thousands of years or more for deities to do it .
Speed also isn't a factor here.

I feel like Goku would probably lose the equalized stats round, but not because of being outskilled, but rather just batman being more focused on finishing the fight while Goku would be busy having fun with it. He'd probably accidentally let himself fall behind and just not be able to get back into the advantage before batman closed it out.

The problem I have with prep time is that it's only assumed that batman would get the prep time and not the other way around.
Exactly, Goku isn’t exactly outta tune to counter a peak condition human who has no ki control but uses gadgets…whether it’s the same or not Goku on the way to namek trained immensely to surpass Vegeta(after Vegeta received zenkais during arrival to namek and after zarbon fight)..I feel Goku would acknowledge what Batman can do but can’t physically challenge him so he wouldn’t spar just defeat Bruce
The thing is, what exactly is Goku gonna do with that prep time, I'm assuming we ain't just gonna let him ring up Bulma to create some EMP or something that will counter all the Batsuits (though I doubt an EMP would even work, but Bulma can do more than that) Batman actually has things he does with this prep time, he literally has a chair that will tell him the answer ro everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, he could just ask "How do I beat Goku?" And he has an instant answer
@@GLMZIGM Goku used to prep time to go inside the hyperbolic chamber to train n level up vs cell and also on the way to namek cuz he barely was able to survive vs Vegeta. I think Goku would use that time to take a look at what arts Bruce fights with and master them(not outside his character to do) he could deal with tech stuff by deflecting or just blasting them.

Goku learned a technique that Roshi couldn’t perfect til he was much older…then eventually made it his own n used the kamehameha with more versatility. Diana is part of a warrior culture but sayains are bred to be warriors as well, they adapt quick as well…Goku tapped into his ultra instinct n it wasn’t perfected but he was getting the hang of something even Gods couldn’t tap into. @GLMZIGM The problem is that he disqualified it on the basis of being an outlier rather than the fact that it factually only happened because spectre is trolling batman is the problem.
This is what makes people who scale dc using only RUclips videos become so confused. They actually think DC writers just blindly make characters do what ever they want power scale wise, but that isn't true if you actually read the comics. Actually, DC fans don't make it simple either. Heck, the Justice League dies in a game, and somehow, they lose their minds
Before watching the video, my initial take is that it would be even.
However, after thinking about it a little, I think Goku would win.
If we assume equal stats, no armor (plot or otherwise), and as much prep as they want,
then I think the fight would start even, but then through the course of the fight Goku would adapt to Batman and overcome him as he always does to overwhelming threats.
This only happens because they take their time constantly. Fights in dragon ball take many minutes to maybe days across multiple encounters, Goku has never actually gone from matching to overpowering an opponent without getting a power up in the middle of a fight

@@MyAramil that's usually in the fights with side antagonists. The ginyu force, universe 2's fights, vs nappa, and quite a few more. The main fights are the ones where he need rematches and amps, and frankly those are the only fights that mattered; King Piccolo, Beerus, Jiren, Frieza, Moro. All of them needed extra prep time or a power up

Goku can beat Batman even with prep time. Batman only knows 127 different martial arts but master roshi and master gohan is the greatest masters of martial arts in their planet. Goku has used martial arts since he was a kid. Goku solo them as a kid and now Goku is the strongest martial arts on the planet. In the manga King Kai stated Goku is the best martial artist in the universe. In total in our world there’s 180 styles of martial arts. Goku knows more than Batman in martial arts and he’s even immune to pressure points.
If we’re talking about putting Batman into reality itself where Batman is in the real world then it’s impossible for Batman to learn 127 martial arts🤷♂️🤷♂️ realistically speaking. Bruce Lee once made a quote saying I fear not a man that practiced ten thousand kicks once but I fear a man who had practiced one kick 10,000 times.
Basically means it doesn’t matter how many types of martial arts a person knows u can’t be a master of every multiple types of things if we’re putting Batman in the real world it’s impossible to know every type of martial arts. Goku however is an alien which can bypass this if he was real.
He fought Gronolah who was an ability to identify weak points and pressure points in any opponent. Goku is known to counter pressure points and counteract fighters with 1000 plus years of experience even in the afterlife he fought dead immortal fighters that’s always trained in the afterlife in a tournament that had hundreds and thousands of years of experience and yet Goku bested them.
He even trained in fought in 100 or plus in gravity training. Not to mention Goku had greater endurance and stamina because he’s an alien he can outlast Batman in a fight. The longest fight an MMA fighter can fight in history recorded is 1 hour. Batman can outlast that obviously because he’s the highest peak in human accomplishments but Goku isn’t human he’s a sayian. Batman’s character doesn’t allow him to kill anyone so he doesn’t have the character to kill Goku but Goku has killed enemies multiple times. Also Goku is from the future where there’s flying cars, alien technology, animal humanoids, androids both human and machine combined, and also there’s a Time Machine. Batman doesn’t have any of that kind of future tech to beat Goku and yet Goku can solo the future tech in his verse.
In dragon ball gt even thou it isn’t cannon Goku had beaten an alien machine hybrid that had the ability to take over bodies and have an army that has one unity in mind and power. The more Baby was able to possess people the more he became powerful and the stronger the host the stronger he is. Batman wouldn’t be able to prep for even that if Superman was posssessed by Baby and became upgraded. And also all the justice league and the other heroes and villains combined plus the population of earth itself.
Goku has fought Gods with millions of experience. Beerus is millions of years old and Goku obtained ultra instinct a technique not even the Gods could comprehend how to do. He even fought Jiren and Broly who are stronger than God of Destructions and he still won against them.
At the end of the day Batman is still human. He has human limitations. There’s many ways humans can die and Batman is submissive to that. Goku ages a lot slower than humans. So technically all Goku has to do is outlive Batman. Batman can’t prep time against time and getting old 🤷♂️ Also the human body gets worse over time the older we age so eventually Batman will be outmatched. He’s still human.
Dragon Ball, GT even though it’s not canon, there was a part where Goku had to fight general Lindo, and that guy had the power to absorb metal in the entire planet even though it’s not Canon, it’s still a great feat for Goku fighting technology and also general Lindo was merge with four different robots that knew Goku’s fighting styles and yeah Goku adapted to it very quickly. I don’t think Batman can beat somebody that can absorb metal from an entire planet it would be too much for Batman and this is coming from my wife’s opinion on this subject and she’s a bigger Batman fan than Goku.🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
The equal stats thing in this particular scenario is kinda weird because of how drastically different things would be balanced to goku's power, batman's, or the midpoint. The higher they go, the more it tilts in the favor of Goku of course. At god level, almost all of batman's gadgets would be nearly useless, and the fact that if they were Goku scaled their durability would be a good bit higher than their attack potential means that goku's higher level of physical adaptability like moving his vitals away from granola's attacks with ui would have more time to swing it in his favor. Can't do pressure point target attacks if the pressure points themselves shift when you go for them.
This got me thinking, in the same format, cell vs batman could also be interesting
Cell's regenerative abilities would be too much for Batman's weapons.
Wish you went into more depth on goku's moveset and other abilities like: Telekinesis, Kiai, afterimage, ki landmines, solar flare, etc. It wouldn't change the outcome just wish you mentioned them is all.
As soon as he mentioned that goku has never fought someone of his skill level or higher I knew this was bunk. Vageta has been stated to be more skilled than goku, yet time and time again goku beats him. He has fought against Cell who has been combined from multiple opponents and has their skills and abilities, yet goku and his son where able to stop him. He has fought against Beerus multiple times.
I generally consider equal stats to be "the stronger one (physically) is holding back their raw strength so that both can see where the other is in terms of skill"
I am curious if the nanite would work. I think if I were genuinely writing this story it wouldn’t, perhaps with the reasoning that ultra instinct isn’t reacting to it as he’s not taking genuine damage. Also I’m pretty sure his ki barrier might block the thing from getting in him to begin with, but yeah everything stops at hell bat. Not saying goku wins, but just not sure the WW win con is gonna work

If the nanites in the Tower of Babel story are just holograms, I'd say Goku would be able to deduce something is wrong fairly quickly. Yes, he can't sense the ki of mechanical beings, but that wouldn't effect his ability for his body to feel impacts. We know mental manipulation can be overcome through sheer force of will via Babidi and Vegeta, so it wouldn't be a long shot to say Goku could overcome this fairly easily. Not to mention, how much time would Batman need to make one of those things that could withstand ki? Not attacks, but just the power in general. Think of it like short circuiting something; too much ki flowing through the body could render it useless.
But punches that can destroy the universe? No, he does not have that lol.
Wonder Woman was fooled by the nanites, and she has far more experience and skill than even batman himself.

@Dimumouto I'm not sure why Ki would affect the nanite unless Goku specifically targets it. Goku has been shown to be vulnerable to things such as Lavender's poison before, so I doubt his ki would passively destroy the nanite. As for Goku overcoming the nanite, that's also unlikely. The nanite isn't mind controlling you, it's messing with your perception, which again, Goku has been shown to be vulnerable to. Roshi, Dercori, and Lavender have all demonstrated the ability to alter the perception of other fighters who use Ki. Goku himself even was made to battle against illusions of his past foes along with Krillin. So I don't think he could just overpower the nanite.
@@sptflcrw8583 Had to refresh my memory on who Lavender and Dercori were, but even then, I'd still say Goku could overcome it. Poisons are, well, poisons, which are deadly to any mortal creature. I don't remember Goku *actually* fighting Lavender, but after a quick readup, I guess that episode was just forgettable? Anyways, I don't think his poison is comparable to nanites, since the poison *actually* effects you while the nanite just gaslights you.
Dercori on the other hand raises an interesting question; if her illusions are generated by *her own ki*, that would explain why Roshi thought they were real. Since its her own energy signature he feels from them. If the nanite somehow was able to utilize ki, most likely Goku's, I think Goku would be able to sense something is off if the holograms (which are typically projections of light/energy, AKA ki) had his ki signature. If THAT is the case, then Goku outpouring ki in the fight could possibly overcharge the nanite (since it would need to constantly feed off the ki).
If it ran off a self sustaining battery, even then, its possible it could be shocked via ki. Electronics are fucking *weird*, a simple static shock when I was plugging in an external hard drive completely *ruined* said drive (but not the USB port I was shocked by). I'm saying its plausible, and with how some tech reacts with ki within the Dragonball universe as is, DCU tech would likely react the same way.
That's not even going into who is being projected, how Batman would even get the information to create said holograms (unless he used his own villains), and how Goku would react to it all. Cause saying the same guy who figured out Hits technique and how to counter it can be defeated by a simple hologram? That's a mighty fucking leap.
@Dimumouto the nanites are physically affecting you, more than even the poison would. They are physically tampering with your brain and injecting chemicals to make you perceive things that aren't actually there. Goku has never shown the ability to use Ki to affect him internally. If that was the case, he could easily use it to attack and destroy the heart virus or Lavender's poison, but he was unable to do that. Batman already has the tech, and "beating" the illusion is impossible. It's an illusion, after all. It's not real. It can give the appearance of being as strong as it wants to be.
I honestly expected for Batman to take the win, especially after Death Metal merging all of the Batmen together. That said thank you for mentioning the sheer mastery of skills Goku has, as many just think he just some strong alien who is claimed to be a martial artist but doesn't show it.

Goku starting in base but having transformations isn't quite as unfair under the equal stats assumption, given how many actual Batsuits Batman has gone through. Such as his Arkham Knight armor that is specifically built to allow Batman to be quicker on his feat, deliver devastating counters, and lessen damage taken. Or the Hellbat, or Final Batsuit. Not quite the same as a transformation, but still. And Goku is only shown with proficiency in attacking with one weapon, the Power Pole. But he has shown capability to defend against other weapon users, such as Trunks and multiple foes in the ToP. On the flipside, Batman has mastered multiple weapons and can easily pick up anything around to use, along with defending against weapons.
The problem is the fact that Batman doesn't have a batcave in his pocket to instantly put on suits at will. Most of goku's transformations take less than a second to pop off, but despite how many suits batman has at that moment, whatever suit he has stays on for that whole fight

I don't remember Frieza knowing about the destructo disk before it happened, so unless it's a suprise attack I don't think it really matters
@@GLMZIGM I think to a certain extent the destructo disk could work but if the gap in power is too big it won’t work an example would be cell vs krillin when krillin threw the disk it had no effect on cell. The fight with goku and frieza with frieza he used the destructo disk (his version) death saucer, on goku but goku made sure to dodge it and assuming that if Batman and goku are even the destructo disk should affect him.

the thing about ultra instnct, the level of it in goku is on a whole other different level than batmans, the power level differences are far grater than first appears, when goku get sometimes hit in ultra instnct it is mostly because the opponet applied presure with much stronger ki and much faster attacks, but in dragon ball fighting opponents with higher key level is always happening, just that fighters do keep up doesn't mean the power difference is miner, for example base goku against kale and kefla is outstanding without even the unltra instnct, I think that base goku has the same dodging abilities as batman, and when you but unltra instnct into the mix, it is a whole different level
With the equal stats there are many things that you forgot to consider, though without these things you're probably correct, here are all that I can think of at the moment that you didn't consider: if the equal stats go to Bruce's level because if equal stats go to Goku's level then none of Bruce's equipment would affect Goku, it's been shown in dbz and dbs in both anime and manga that neither blades nor bullets can affect Goku unless he is tired or the blade or bullet, though usually blade, is infused with enough ki to be able to, which keep in mind Bruce has no access to his ki, making his batarangs, tasers, guns etc. ineffective as well as no matter which of the two equal stats goes to Goku has the destructo disk which is shown multiple times to be able to cut someone much stronger than them, i.e. freeza, Vegeta, etc. which bruce has no counter for that I am aware of, and the vital and pressure points it is stated that in ui or mui Goku has none of, meaning that if it is Bruce's stats for both Goku has quite a few more things that you didn't account for, in my opinion tipping the scales, and if it's Goku's stats Batman's chances quickly dwindle, though this is all my opinion with my limited knowledge of dc so I have no idea if the bat can overcome these extra things so feel free to correct me if you can

One thing u missed is batman is a street fighter. He doesn't have rules in a fight except don't kill them. Goku enjoys the fight and will try to prolong it. For equal stats, instead of Ultra Instinct, the best way for Goku to win is using the Kaioken 🤣
It runs into the same issue as Super Saiyan where Goku can just have a power multiplier in an equal stats fight, the difference is that Kaioken is considered a technique instead of a transformation, similar to Batman using Bane's serum or something, so it could be seen as more "fair".

I disagree on the prep time premise example you posed, actually. We have seen Goku fight an opponent who uses a hack to beat him he can't possibly understand. When he fights Hit for the second time, Hit literally moves himself into another dimension and drops ki signatures of himself to negate Goku's ability to sense his energy. Despite being in a situation where he's literally just doomed to lose, he makes himself a contingency and uses the second opportunity created from that to figure out Hit's gimmick and beat it. I see no reason why Goku's intuition wouldn't pick up something wrong with his opponent seemingly being unbeatable, and Goku isn't a total meathead either. He's not going to fight someone to infinity if he knows he's lost, and he's totally willing to give up well before his true death-level breaking point. We see that against Freeza, against Cell, and against Beerus. Every single one of those situations includes the looming threat of his death and/or the deaths of his family and friends and he straight up gives up because he realizes he's completely tapped. Also, a nanite in his brain would be more or less equivalent to an illusion and I'm pretty sure Goku has fought and overcome illusions before.

I don’t think you give enough credit to Goku’s spiritual abilities or his instinct. Telepathy, telekinesis, and tranquility made it so that Goku had pre-cognition and auto-dodge at lower power levels. And the difference is that UI can even the playing field against stronger and faster opponents and i think is way more ridiculous than normal pre-cog.
