I agree. That’s why I like the Superman Ultimate flight rollercoaster at Six flags great adventure because the pretzel loop is right in the beginning of the ride. Once you pass that, everything is fine.
pwnageseb The loop hurts but I love this ride. And yet I'm scared of X2, it's the only ride I've ever ridden only once. The ride I've probably ridden the most is Goliath, and the ride I've ridden least? Green Lantern, or Riddler's Revenge. For specific reasons I won't say.
CalebTheKillian Green Lantern and Riddler's Revenge crush your balls if you're a guy, Green Lantern pushes you like you're a wrecking ball, Riddler's Revenge straps on and it cuts into your skin if you don't stand a certain way!

One amazing thing about this ride is how the station is atop the mountain. When you go up the lift hill, it seems like it's really short (which it is), but then you see the hill vanish below you and all that's between you and the drop below is a restraint...
I rode this for the first time last night! I was so scared to go on it, I almost cried waiting in line but it's actually really fun!! If you're scared to ride it, TRUST ME it is so fun. I think it's better to ride it at night for your first time because it's really pretty to see all the lights everywhere, it kind of distracts you from the nerves. I guarantee I will go on this ride every time I go to MM from now on.
@@Lilah123-e2i The only part that scared me was the bottom of the first drop because I didn't expect it to feel like I was going to go flying into the ground. Just caught me off-guard the first time I rode it. The pretzel loop isn't scary but WOW it's intense!
Then you know how astronauts feel! They also lie on their backs and have much pressure. Right there at the bottom, you also lie on your back like in bed, only that you got all the Gs. Does someone know how much G there are right there? :D I haven‘t had the opportunity to ride a fly coaster yet, but it must be the best. Also you can make inverts for an extended time, because you are not flipped around heads-down. You are only lying on your back and can do that for a long time without all the blood vanishing into your head. That‘s the only reason why that loop is possible. In a regular coaster it would push all the blood into your head. That‘s so awesome! I wanna ride :D
1:31 still one of the best roller coaster moments of all time. The combination of g forces on that inverted loop is impossible to describe to someone who hasn't ridden it themselves...
I've been terrified of going on roller coasters my entire life. My brother said we'll hit the easiest ones first. Took me on X2 and then Tatsu. That pretzel loop was the greatest feeling I've ever felt in my life. I am no longer scared of roller coasters at all 😂
One ride I could not wait to get off lol. The track wasn't scary, the feeling that you can fall out your restraints at any moment shook me lol. I couldn't even scream
I was screaming through out the entire ride until the pretzel loop. For some reason my voice dropped like 5 octaves on that loop. Tatsu is my fav ride there
As someone who has been to Magic Mountain many times I will warn first time visitors: It gets extremely hot and you will get dehydrated and sunburned unless you plan ahead. I'm not exaggerating either - it gets so hot that the majority of lines will be filled with people in clothing soaked in sweat competing for the few misters along the line and the lines for the two water rides in the park are 2-3 hours long because people are that desperate for some cooling. Tatsu is cool. The front flip inversion on this coaster has very high G forces and almost made me black out. My vision went to a tunnel and came back out as we came out of the loop. I think it was more my fault than the coaster's though because I hadn't properly hydrated through the day.
Made the same mistake. We took a massive water bottle but it was not enough. And there is nowhere to fill it up, no water fountains, nothing. No shade either. Went on a whole bunch of rides, including this one (both of us almost blacked out as well) and felt so beaten up that we literally just had to take a break for the first time ever going to a theme park, felt like 80 year olds. Such a disappointing park for how much it costs, the only good thing was twisted colossus.
H. John that's exactly what happens every time I ride it. Most people are silent for most of the ride, but then they see the loop and instantly start shrieking.
@@riley9703 I just rode this beast yesterday and can honestly say the same. Everyone was like "wheeeee" then this shit comes out of no where. This video doesn't do that loop justice. The entire first passsnger row of a train pulled back into the station blacked out from that loop.
I was so scared to ride this, but it ended up being my favorite ride in the park. If you have an opportunity to ride this amazing ride, don't chicken out.
One of my favorite rides not just at Six Flags, but ever. That pretzel loop from 1:30-1:37 is positively terrifying and sends a rush of blood to my head, but I love it every time! An A+ roller coaster.
This ride is the best ride I’ve ever been on hands down. I was scared shitless at first to ride this but once I went on it, at some point it felt like I was flying in the air. I say if you have bad anxiety/fear just scream it all out and close your eyes and you should be just fine.
I just rode this today, it was my very first flying coaster. It's a very smooth ride, it doesn't have that B&M rattle like one of their other coasters "scream". Very nice ride, definitely makes the top 3 coasters of the park.
Best coaster I've ever been on. You're laying face down, so you're going head first towards everything. And though the video doesn't capture it, you see the top-down loop coming before you get there. Hitting it going head first is the craziest sensation I've ever had on a ride.
Best flying coaster I've ever been on, the lift hill is just amazing- you start already about 100 feet above a valley before it climbs another 150 feet or so up, gives you an illusion of some serious height face down.

I had never prayed that hard and for so long.
Lots of people say this is the scariest ride there but its actually not scary but very fun its just that loop that gets you but every thing else on the ride is awesome
This ride is by far my FAVORITE ride here. It is actually very very smooth along with that amazing pretzel loop and the first dive which starts to ride, along with this amazing speed and logo " fly at the speed of fear." The name suits the ride PERFECTLY. this ride really makes it feel as if your flying! Not to mention that they strap you in very well as this ride makes me feel very safe. I love how your facing horizontal ( on your stomach ) this whole ride to make it feel as if your actually a dragon! The corkscrews and twists make this ride ten times better! defiantly the worlds best flying coaster. Total thrill and excitement until the end.
I rode it for the first time and it was the best ride ever. I’ve now rode every ride at six flags, tatsu was the only one that was holding me back. It was so fun but I screamed so much I love my voice 😂😭😭 that loop is really something else
to this day, after going on almost every roller coaster in california and a few around the world, this is still in my top five most intense roller coasters. the inversions on this ride are INSANE, especially the pretzel loop. you catch like 4 g’s during that shit and its amazing. but for real, those inversions feel so fucking weird and every time ive ridden this they still scare the shit out of me like no other coaster’s inversions can. i love tatsu so much.
I love this ride. Tatsu is one of those rare coasters that surprised me. The sheer size and intensity is like no other flyer. It’s also the only flyer to actually feel like flying to me. The way you climb over the treetops and swoop through the terrain. The rolls feel like you’re going to be flung off the mountain. The Gs in the pretzel are no joke. Tatsu easily ranks as elite by me.
You don't look front. Before it starts, the seat turns 45 degree, and you gotta face the floor like 0:53 So what you see in this video is alot different from the actual ride.
Easily my favorite roller coaster of all time. It was a long time ago but I remember it being a really smooth ride. The hanging position is really awesome to ride in and that loop is something else. Everyone who loves rollercoaster should really give Magic Mountain a visit. The rides out in the corner of the park with 6 people standing in line are twice as good as the best roller coaster at your local theme park.
The pretzel loop wasn’t even all that bad. Everyone made it seem like it was so scary. It was actually super fun. But it made all my Snot and saliva come out 🤣
I love rollercoasters and I’ve been on on countless. Superman: Ultimate Flight ad Great Adventure’s pretzel loop is one of the most intense coaster elements I’ve been on. I can’t imagine tatsu’s 124 foot one!
Tatsu is a masterpiece of engineering and beauty. The pacing and flow of its track layout, combined with the way it takes advantage of the park's terrain and foliage create an a flying experience which I don't think any other flying coaster matches. If you visit magic mountain and get the chance to ride this, know that you are riding the best flying coaster on earth.
The G-force was so strong that it felt like my brain was rattling in my skull and all my organs were coming up to my throat and dude you can feel it in your brain...it is *INTENSE* I still felt the feeling of the g-force even like two hours after I got off the ride.
Sheer fluidity and elegance. It scares you with its height and restraints, and soothes you with its layout... till _that_ pretzel. Right from the spiraling first drop, every turn is continued, grandly, into an inline twist which starts another fluid, unbroken turn, eventually into another inline twist, with the track rising and dropping all the time like a well paced breath routine. It does get noticeably more urgent towards the end of the first half, and the pretzel is insane after such a comparatively gentle start. The following inline twist does however feel out of place, as there’s no lead into it unlike the two earlier ones.
The mighty Tatsuuuuuuuuuuuuuup, that was a thing I remember across the park. They did this on the viper as well. The ride operators were always really funny!
Yeah, you can’t see the track at all when you’re on this ride. You’re staring straight down at the ground below you, so you have absolutely no idea what is coming next
+Georgie Parker It's made by the same company (B&M), but is very different since you're sitting on Silver Bullet, but this one tilts you into a flying/laying position. You can watch the off-ride video we posted to see the difference: ruclips.net/video/GuDUN2GaqUY/видео.html
lol, not even close. Silver bullet is a kid ride compared to Tatsu. The front flip toward the end on tatsu is intense...and it's hard to see where you are bc your hanging in a harness with your face facing the ground
+Georgie Parker Tatsu is one of the best rides in Magic Mountain. Silver Bullet just lets you sit down. Tatsu is different. Tatsu has a lot of G-Force and the Pretzel Loop is something to not forget about. It is the best part of the ride.
Roman Val I used to think six flags great America Superman loop was insane. It's damn comparable in that loop but this was fifty percent scarier on that part alone I was praying the loop would end
I went to sfmm yesterday for gradnight, and i was looking forward for this ride the most, I was expecting alot, and it delievered! it was so much fun the track interacts with the train, the hieght is really good, and when your going up the lift, you see everyone waving at you which is really fun, you cant feel the ‘drop’. I really recommend this ride. Don’t be intimidated by the preztel loop, it really isnt that bad if you close your eyes. totally recommend
I loved this coaster. Me and my friends waited in line for a long time but it was our last ride of the day so we stayed . It was worth the wait I see that it's the "pretzel loop" that was my adrenaline rush, it got me lol great experience at night
The whole time I was on this ride felt like the shoulder restraints were going to fail at any moment... I think it was due to the constant downward pressure. Definitely scarier than any sitdown or standing rollercoaster at this park.
I felt the exact same thing when I rode it the first time, today :(. But everything else after being pulled up was fun and I quickly forgot about it :)
Very smooth ride until the pretzel loop comes in, that's when the adreline rush kicks in haha

Waited 90 minutes for this ride. Was the last ride before the park closed. What a great way to end the night.
For me, they said 90 minutes. It was around 30 - 40 minutes.
I rode Tatsu last night in a AVID field trip. That was the best ride. The loop was awesome
Looove..the pretzel loop one of the best inversions to date.
It really feels longer than the video gives it credit xD The feeling of flying is incredible I recommend it to all!
to this day, after going on almost every roller coaster in california and a few around the world, this is still in my top five most intense roller coasters. the inversions on this ride are INSANE, especially the pretzel loop. you catch like 4 g’s during that shit and its amazing. but for real, those inversions feel so fucking weird and every time ive ridden this they still scare the shit out of me like no other coaster’s inversions can. i love tatsu so much.
Scariest roller coaster that I've ever been on. Similar to Superman at Six Flags New Jersey and Kings Isle in Cincinnati. But longer and more intense.
Nothing similar to superman ultimate flight
And its Six Flags Great Adventure Not Six Flags New Jersey or Over New Jersey
I love this ride. Tatsu is one of those rare coasters that surprised me. The sheer size and intensity is like no other flyer. It’s also the only flyer to actually feel like flying to me. The way you climb over the treetops and swoop through the terrain. The rolls feel like you’re going to be flung off the mountain. The Gs in the pretzel are no joke. Tatsu easily ranks as elite by me.
You don't look front. Before it starts, the seat turns 45 degree, and you gotta face the floor like 0:53
So what you see in this video is alot different from the actual ride.
But it made all my Snot and saliva come out 🤣
"Its not that bad.. it just made me drool all over the place" 😆
How intense the pretzel loop depends on where on the train you sit. If you sit in the front, its less intense then the back.
@@ccl_unknown1748 not to mention your stomach feels like shit it fucken hurts
I love how the ride op engaged the riders right before they left the station, Tatsuuuuuu. That makes for a great ride!!
I heard the pretzel loop is amazing!
Chris C It feels like your falling for a long time plus, you get G forces, so to me it feels like a back massage. Lol but I kinda grey out sometimes
i almost blacked out during the loop, i won't go on it again. =[ way too much G force
Chris C bruh my head fell out my ass
That view from the lift hill FUCKING SCARY TALL!!! Fun ride tho!!
I just went to SFMM on 12/28/2013. I absolutely love love love this ride, but X2 will always and forever hold the crown in my book!
On the loop my snot almost fell out XD
A.A.A.A eww and I'm eating oatmeal right now to 😂😂😂
hahahahaha 😂
On the person behind you 😂
Same. Rode it today
It was dark the first time i rode this so i didn't see the loop coming and wasn't expecting it to be so intense!!! Great ride!!
Who else greyed out on the pretzel loop? That was friccin intense!
I got tunnel vision on that loop
(continued) The whole time with minimal vibration. By far the best POV you have shot by far.
Did anyone hear the girl that screamed "my fucking hair" at 1:45 XD
Diamond Thomas I think she said head because that would make more sense and that's what I heard
Man, this ride looks SWEET! I really miss MM, me & my buddy had season passes back in the day, loved it! I even met my wife there!:)
This was my first Roller coaster ever ☺
wow
Man I feel bad for you...you can't just ride the craziest ride in the whole park as a first rollercoaster experience. you gotta start off slow.
@@BubbleArcadiaX2 is crazier
I'd LOVE to go back to Magic Mountain just so I could ride this again! Epic fun!
Love it!!! My favorite ride there! The worse part for me was going up 🙈
This is the first downward loop I've ever seen on a roller coaster. I really need to come back here and ride this sometime!
i like to stick my arms out and pretend im super man while im riding this make me
feel like im flying XD
because where is the fun in holding on ? lol
Me too!
Dude same! 😆
The supermán ride should be like this
The mighty Tatsuuuuuuuuuuuuuup, that was a thing I remember across the park. They did this on the viper as well. The ride operators were always really funny!
This isn't a POV shot because on tatsu you're looking at the ground right
No not really I don't the ride ops tell u don't down if ur scared of heights
@@kenziebacklin11 u dont down doesent make sense
Dominick O yeah
Yeah, you can’t see the track at all when you’re on this ride. You’re staring straight down at the ground below you, so you have absolutely no idea what is coming next
This is my favorite rollercoaster in magic mountain, and the loop is the best part:))
1:32 looks insane. I haven’t rode it, but that part makes me want to
You should try it, that loop is really intense
This ride was amazing, went on it while I was 8 it was terrifying!
is this ride anything like silver bullet at knotts berry farm?
+Georgie Parker It's made by the same company (B&M), but is very different since you're sitting on Silver Bullet, but this one tilts you into a flying/laying position. You can watch the off-ride video we posted to see the difference: ruclips.net/video/GuDUN2GaqUY/видео.html
+CoasterForce oh, ok. i hope i can handle it XD in december i am going to 6 flags :D
lol, not even close.
It's kinda like silver bullet except u face down.
I love this ride , especially the loops! 해피 뉴이어 ! 🥂🥂 ! Starting the year with Six flags♡
the inverted loop is insane.. probably 6 G's.. but since it's inverted all that pressure is flat on your back.. so its not so bad.
That's even worse than if it was right side up.
Roman Val The Pretzel Loop i assume? to be exact it's 4.1
6gs isn't allowed on rides because people would be constantly blacking out. MM would have a shitload of law suits then.
If you can ride this. Then you can ride everything else. Lmaoo
I absolutely adore this coaster!! I miss it so much
