I live in Australia and own a 2019 Stinger Gt, over here they are RWD. I love this car like the first day I bought it brand new. It has intakes and a Borla catback exhaust. It’s been the most attention getting car I’ve ever owned. So many looks and people come up to ask about it. It has been mistaken for a Jag and because it has the vintage K badge on the front, people think it’s a Lexus. It’s coming up for it’s 90,000 kms service and I’ve had no major issues . It’s so much fun to drive and I’m planning on keeping it for as long as I can. I’m in a Stinger group, we have meets and drives, it’s so awesome seeing 23 Stingers in convoy. In fact there is a big meet end of year in Adelaide, where they are hoping to get the world record of the most Stingers gathered. The organiser is hoping for over 100 cars.
@@flameangel202 Hi there, we recently moved back to Victoria from Sydney. We now live in beautiful Kilmore. Bit different from living in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne for all those many years previously. Would love to join a Stinger club
Im really glad you mentioned the Harmon kardon system. It’s been really difficult to find people discussing it in reviews despite its reputation as being really good!
I had a 2018 GT2 and loved it! I bought out my lease in 2020 and just traded it in two months ago for a EV6 GT-Line. The EV6 is also amazing, but not the same as the Stinger, especially the handling. But my wife loves the EV6 even more than I do, so I just traded in her Mini Cooper S for a brand new, 2023 Panthera Metal GT2 which was literally the last Stinger in New England. Had to drive 100 miles to get it and am so happy to feel like my ass is home! 🙂
I have an E46 M3 that never fails t put a smile on anyones face 9 years on, but if I ever changed to a 4 door saloon with similar power, then the Stinger GT would definitely be it. It looks like it means business without being obnoxious (modern BMWs etc), the interior is tastefully sty;styled, it has Android Auto, it has the KIA reliability above all else (The M3 has cost me the value of a Stinger GT brand new in running costs over the years). I think it's the logical step next perhaps for a comfortable family saloon with all the tech I'd want as standard, without paying the modern German car tax. And above all else, like the E46 M3 nowadays, you rarely see a Stinger GT on the roads here in the UK, but when you do man do they stand out for the right reasons.
I got my lightly used 2018 GT2 last year and have been in LOVE ever since. It was my grad present to myself. I love driving it, still in the honeymoon phase. It gets so much attention everywhere I go because you barely ever see another one anywhere.
Love it. I've got a 2021 GT1 and it's greatly surpassed my expectations. Easily one of the most underrated and under appreciated cars because it's a Kia. Glad you mentioned the Harmon Kardon sound system because it's another part of the car that's so damn good.
Is it $50,000 for the top model? Was 2023 the last model year.? Is the top of the lime Mazda3 Turbo 250 hp Bose stereo and all wheel drive and fast but not as fast? Yes for $15k less I’d jump all over the Mazda. I have the 2023 select non-turbo front wheel drive with traction control and absolutely love it for 1/2 the price of the Stinger. (The Kia Stinger has had recalls)
Came upon this video because I am moving to Colorado soon and have been looking at AWD cars to get. This review was very entertaining and informative! I have watched countless videos on the Stinger now but I think yours has finally helped me make up my mind! Thank you!
Love my 2019 GT2 AWD. Just over 4 years now. Full bolt ons and a recent switch from JB4 to LAP3 with water/meth. Car has been amazing. I can haul my girlfriend, dog, and groceries with ease. Plus it literally surprises so many Mustangs, chargers, challengers, and Camaros. I get around 480 to the wheels given I can only do a LAP3 2.0 tune (no 93 here) and a little more when I feel like running some E30. I have yet to get my ass whopped by your standard muscle crowd GTs, scat packs, SSs etc. and it’s always entertaining seeing their reaction. I love owning this Kia.
Awesome review, I have a 2022 Stinger Scorpion Edition in Ceramic silver with the red interior which is pretty rare. Lot of things I agree on but things I also disagree with. I think the refresh models are better, the updated infotainment screen is worlds nicer, the new wheel design on all models look better, and the gt2 added perforated seats and more stitching around the interior making the inside even nicer. It definitely can be used as a commuter car (I do in LA traffic), just depends on ones financial situation I suppose if you can afford gas and routine maintenance. I plan on keeping mine forever too, especially since I have a rare one. These engines will be bulletproof in the long run with proper maintenance since they have forged internals and sodium filled valves. Just be sure to get the carbon cleaned off the valves every couple 60-80k miles.

Update… 90k now lol
I grew medical cannabis for 10 years if you need any help I’m here.
I agree with you the newer models ugly to me and I'm gonna be buying the same model you have very soon
I feel like the new ones look exactly the same 🤷♂️
They named a child ‘River’?!?!
River song maybe
Heard of River Phoenix? Yeah obviously not. An everyday name like Richard means “dick” and you’re bothered by someone named “River”? LMAO to you.
I think it’s a cool name. I know of a River who has siblings named Stone and Forest. Rugged, masculine names.
@@calvinchapman5138you gave me a chuckle bud😂
This man is zesty as hell bruh
700$ a month lease for
A Kia food deal

Toyota Tacoma. Check mate🎉
Just call it the Stinger simple
“Worth” what?
В моем тоже красный салон)
Good review but your musical taste is super fem !
And?
$700/month?! OOPH
bah. The price you pay for a stinger you can get a GR Supra. Not only is the GR Supra nicer but it comes with Toyota reliability . Had a Stinger. Nothing more than a noisy rattler sewed with cheap aesthetics .
