How I Raised Over $2M for My Startup
My name is Arend Richard, and I recently raised just over $2,000,000 in capital for my startup business, Cirrus. I raised all the capital from Angel Investors, which can seem to be the toughest type of investor to find.
Whether you’re looking for tips on raising capital from angels, VCs, family offices, or anything else, the points in this video will help you gain some firsthand perspective.
Quick background on me and my raise: I’m opening a new experience concept called “Cirrus,” which is opening in just a few months in Denver.
Here are the tips and lessons I learned from raising capital:

Thanks for sharing! Your insight is greatly appreciated, friend. It looks like there is always room for improvement, but the key is to recognize those moments and act accordingly. Grateful for your wisdom 🙏🏾
2018 owner certified letter from Kia of the first 2000 owners VIN certified , no way the 2021 versions are better.
Happy for you man hearing how you got it
700$ a month lease for A Kia food deal
Toyota Tacoma. Check mate🎉
Currently in a capital raise for a lab/drink facility. Thanks for this video! I’m curious, what’s some skills you had to learn along the way?
<3<3<3
$700/month?! OOPH
The unexpected TS intro made me giggle 😂
🎉Congratulations Arend🎉 Super proud of you and your accomplishment. Can't wait to see your dream come to fruition. Excited to come to Cirrus.❤ love you k'nephew❤
Very good information I appreciate you sharing your experience 👏🏽
genesis g70 same engine but better reliability and better made car interior etc
arend great stuff i am now at that point where u where...i have startup but need to create traction to put into my deck. like the part that addresses revenue generatio will people pay & fill as many holes that investors poke as u can... still figuring this out i have a different type of startup...i would luv to speak with u about that just want to bounce some things off you. I am on linkedin and u r also a part of my network...hope we can do some collaboration
Yessss you are amazing ❤ thank you for sharing!!
Such great information Arend! I can't wait to experience Cirrus when it opens and see what all you will do with this amazing company 🫶🏻
Great video, Arend. I like how you approached the qualitative and psychological aspects of the raise. Some standard gems in here as well, but you presented them with passion and empathy towards your audience of fellow entrepreneurs who are struggling. My favorite topic is traction, and it can certainly mean a lot of different things, but I think bringing it back to pre-opening revenues for this particular type of project is brilliant because it was unexpected. Whoo raises money from future customers for a business that isn't open yet? (Besides electric car companies) It's like kickstarter, without the kickstarter. Bravo.
Thank you for this comment!!!
this is sooooo good. so much great information!!!!
And thank YOU for all your help in this!
<3<3<3
you're back lol
Who’s back? 😉
🎉thank you for this. Steps behind u 👏🏽💯
Absolutely! Enjoy the journey as much as you can.
2018 Stinger...100,000 miles...no issues and all smiles.
What a beautiful beautiful affordable car....amazing, sad thing it will be discontinued......
Is he gay?
2021 Gt2 rwd here, it’s pretty good on gas, can get 29 on the hwy, 26 mpg avg, almost as good as my Maxima. Love this car, crazy fun.
Lol... If you can afford a $700 monthly payment, i wouldn't be sweating fuel economy...
Forever... your nuts . That car will fall apart sooner than later.
Just call it the Stinger simple
im currently look at a stinger GT. here in aus we didn't get the AWD version, but we're pretty familiar to hight HP RWD cars thanks to the commodores and falcons over the years. pretty much everyone that i've seen or watched has basically only had positive things to say. time for me to start saving me thinks.
I have a stinger gt 2022 it happened yesterday there is no boost went completely flat on smart and sport mode while driving so I turned off the engine and turned back on the boost regain very weird overall the car is fun to drive bit of a rattle here and there nothing major all good
Periodt💅💅 the zest @3:38 good review tho. defintiely looking into one of these.
Owned my 2022 Stinger GT here in Australia for a few years now. Literally, the only downside I could try to come up with is the fuel economy. Literally every other aspect of this car is well above its price point. Another point worth noting, HUD units in this car and others don't work great if you drive with polarised sunglasses. I never use the HUD so if you drive with polarised sunnies, don't let the HUD become a deal breaker.
Great Review. Up to the" Girl Song Singing". I have the same color. Gt2. And my Stinger loves his Metallica And Slayer.😅
Why are you gay
I have 2023 stinger gt 1 great car had 2020 genesis and 2015 gto all fun to drive
It’s a STINGER!!! PeriodT.
I grew medical cannabis for 10 years if you need any help I’m here.
This guys got too much money.FFS.
Great video and great car my man, love it
В моем тоже красный салон)
Love the video hopefully I can own a stinger one day
Terminaste por convencerme y lo voy a comprar!😎🖤✨
How much would ur exact car cost now
We bought a 2022 GT1 for my wife. She loves it. I get to drive it once in a while and I get it, it is wonderful. If I ever had to get rid of my TrackHawk, I would buy another Stinger. Only thing I don’t get on the Stinger is the toggle radio changing switch..push it up, the stations go down, push it down and the station selection goes up. Only thing I do not like. Great car.
what color is this
What a gorgeous car!! I love the paint job
Amazing review, the colour inside and out is exactly what I’m looking for!
2022 GT2 owner. I never call it a kia. It's a STINGER
yeah same with ford taurus. Its just TAURUS.
Yep I just call my Stinger, Stinger.
Why? lol Regardless both are correct but I am wondering why you leave it out?
@@EMed9423 They like the car, not the brand. Kia normally amounts to cheap budget cars.
Like Eqqus, not a Hyundai
Literally the most underrated car in the world.
100 Percent gonna buy it soon
This guy is zesty asf. Way to ruin a video.
I bought another one:) Also has a E badge. But I drive the one with a KIA badge. Doesn’t bother me. Gave the E version to a girl I like❤
auto lift gate and heads up display are nice. mine is a 2018 so im missing rear heated seats and 360 cameras
