That guy with the tie dye mask filming in the front of the store literally didn’t take a phone call from his friend who HE KNEW was in the store, because he wanted to keep streaming. His friend died. He was thanking his subscribers while filming and then immediately posted his long video on RUclips. He put information for the press and “licensing” his footage. I hate to think about how much $ he made in the last 24 hrs while he left his friend for dead.
What if you would have answered that phone and his friend would have spoke and gave away his position? What if he would have killed the live stream and we wouldn't have seen how slow cops are to respond to a situation like this? What if you people think like spoiled Americans and not like third world countries that this is becoming. Plus when he said my friend tried to call me that was after seeing two dead bodies laying right in front of him. If you ask me that boy kicked into gear and did what he does record situations. quit being jealous that he had balls to be there in record when most of Americans hasn't even dropped.

I always cry when something like this happens. But it hits different when you see the faces and you recognize them. The two workers, I didn't know them, but I have memories of both of these people. The manager would work the self checkout sometimes when I went shopping at night. I remember her making her coworkers laugh, helping me through with my coupons and when the scanner wouldn't work properly. She won't ever make someone laugh like that again. When I saw the list of names, I felt relieved that I didn't know any of them, but as I watched this I recognized them. I almost went shopping there yesterday, just to pick up a few things as a surprise for my partner. Eggs, shredded cheese, coffee creamer, and some candy for Easter. Instead I decided we could just go together later that night, and I could use the extra time before I was supposed to be at work browsing in a thrift store. I felt selfish for choosing to do that, but that choice saved me from experiencing the horrors of this situation. I wish this had never happened. I know this store so well. I walk around my house, FILLED with things from this store, the only store we go to, and I wonder if I hadn't bought these items, would they be covered in my neighbor's blood now? I go out of my way to go to this store over others. It is such a special place to me and so many more in the community. When I walk through these aisles again, how will I stop myself from thinking about these people dying. How will we be able to laugh and smile in this place again? It always hits me when something like this happens. But. Seeing MY parking spot on national news. Knowing I could have been there. Knowing the people closest to me could have been there, would have had business being there. I don't know where to go from here. This table mesa store is more than a grocery store. The reason so many people in Boulder choose this store with smaller selection and inventory, even driving from north boulder to go to this store over many others. It felt like the store belonged to the community. I hope we can get that back. I hope there is a lasting memorial of our neighbors. I hope we can remember them and continue to support each other. This is just too hard. It really hit me when I saw the clouds over the mountains in the background yesterday. The same clouds and the same mountains out my window. I would give anything to have had this not happen.

Those bodies would not have been there if he would not have been allowed to by a gun.

But Americans love their guns, and keep holding onto to the 2nd amendment that wich was written over 200 years ago in a time off flintlock weapons, not automatic weapons and assault riffles. There comes a time when some things need to be changed in the constitution of a country. The UK's constitution was written in the 1200s the Magna Carta
If they would still use that as the law of the land they would still be in the middle ages.
That's why amendments and new laws are enacted to update laws that are now a danger to the public. The weapons have changed but the law has not. Under the 2nd amendment you were not allowed to own canons that would kill a multitude of people at the same time. That is what the automatic weapons of today are canons.
The motifs of these people don't matter it will not bring the people who were killed back.
The WHY are these people allowed to buy these guns matter. The Atlanta shooter bought the gun he used 3 hours before he shot 8 people. Maybe If he would have had a waiting period of 2 weeks it would have made a difference. It's easier for those under 21 to get their hands on a lethal weapon than alcohol or cigarettes.

My friend who goes to school in Boulder thank god was home in Michigan when this happened. As soon as I heard about this I immediately thought of her (I didn’t know that she was home) I messaged her and she was very upset obviously. I’m so glad that she wasn’t there. I feel her being home was a godsend.

I was a child victim of rape, molestation, child porn, and saw a group of adults that a family member took me to who would ritually use, abuse, and murder children. They had pregnant teens that had no names, but where part of human traffic system from around the world. They treated them like farm animals. That happened here in the US back in the late 60's and early 70's. By chance my parents moved just far enough away to make it to hard for my abuser to continue, or I was just getting to old. Every day I wonder, if that is still happening here in this country. None of those caught as time went on where put in the media. So I have no closure, and no justice. Living, but always looking over my shoulder.
As one who has worked previously as a security officer in a hospital environment with many er midnight shifts to recollection from. We would, on occasion have to be in the trauma op when a individual involved in a serious felony offense needed lifesaving surgery. U stand by and assist if the perpetrator tries to assault the surgical team until the sedative kicks in. U just have to detach emotionally and follow protocol.

You can fix a writing error, you can bounce back from driving drunk. You can't fix using a gun to take people's lives because you feel like it.
