Chris you’re such a lucky guy. You have all these experts telling you what you should fix and do and buy over and over again. How would you possibly be able to run a successful company without them.
I sold a business a few years ago because after 4 years it was not profitable "enough", but when I had it my absolute favorite thing was when someone woud say "Want some advice?" to which I would proudly rely "NO"....🤣😂🤣
I don't know Chris, just going by my farm experience with 20 years of 10 wheelers before I bought a semi, there is one heck of an improvement between 1 drive axel versus both and then full lockers. You might be very pleasantly surprised when you get that rear pulling too. Was always a huge difference to me in wet falls or snowy winters.
I understand that once on the job it is hard to take a machine out of the mix. I think the dumper really needs the get the lockers fixed and quick. It is not a job to do in the field, but it sure would help on the slick days.
I’m surprised Chris hasn’t already fixed it. As particular as he is about his machines. Dirt Perfects Bubba dump will go just about anywhere now. It’s amazing what difference those extra wheels pulling makes.
Camarata has chains on one of his rigs 24/7. I would think something like that would be the best way to take care of the traction issues with the truck.
I see so many suggestions do this do that buy a scraper buy a d10. I say build the pond with what you have, then when your ready fix the truck. Your doing great keep up the good work
It’s really looking like a pond now. I can’t wait to see the pond completely dug out and shaped up. It will look much better once the rest of the burn piles are gone. You still have a good bit of work to do and I’ll be watching every minute that you record and post.
So exciting to get a big ole truck stuck in the mud but even more exciting to watch an even bigger excavator nudge it out. Chris, you always keep us entertained! Oh, and by the way, the pond is coming along beautifully!!
@@Todd.Roberts well now see, I never thought of that but now that you mention it, I know experientially that it’s NEVER fun being the one that’s stuck. You have my sincere condolences 👍

You need DP to take another working vacation and come fix the rear locker since he has already done the ones on his truck. Pond is looking good. Can’t wait to see it full.
Chris watching you dig all that top soil out makes me think of that machine you used about a two years ago. The one where you load dirt into and it separate al the sticks and rocks out leave a pile of really clean top soil. Seems like that machine could really shine on the big 5 acre pond.
Hello. We do not often work on earthworks, usually they are different types of work, where we only help ourselves with an excavator. However, I know from experience that on such rainy days, the truck has no chance of driving on such a wet and mud-covered surface. On such days, we simply postpone the work to another day🙂
Looking at the pond edge where you are working, it is really hard from the video to see the elevations. Seems like the area is going to be really shallow, but I am sure that is an illusion. I think the rock truck would have done better if you could have locked up all six wheels. Another item for the To-Do-List. Thanks for sharing.
Looks like sticking it out paid off. Now, instead of being behind you are pretty much on track to get done with the pond. I have a question about the dirt with the gravel, it sounds like you hit a vein of what I would call river gravel. A red clay mixed with gravel of various sizes. It gets hard as a rock when it is dry but it can as bad as plain red clay when it gets wet and hasn't been packed. Stay safe.
Thank you Chris for the great Videos, you are a Outstanding person with top notch skills, you explain what you are doing through the process of each job, you are a perfectionist as I am as well. Good job Brother. Smitty
Lookin good. Wondering about the Tree trunk with roots in the pond... in front of the dozer at the end. Is there any significance? I'm assuming it's just not been removed yet.
Factory no... could one fabric some from like a skidder I don’t see why not. My only concern would be the clearance on the inside by the frame and air brakes lines getting ripped off by a stick caught in the tracks.
This weather is unpredictable now I noticed that the dump truck was spinning I know usually it pulls better when it all lock in till you said the back axle not locking in it's looking good thanks for the video
Hey Chris next time it's raining like that try using the D6 Dozer to push it if it's too short take a chain hook it up to the front of a Barney and hook it up to the back of your D6 and drag it
Interesting, when you were helping the truck (1.26) it looks like the rear axle of the truck is not driving, Was the diff lock system engaged and working? I've see the same thing with this truck on some of your other videos and wondered about it. Just looked again, and no it's not driving with the front drivers, you may have a problem.
Chris, I'm addicted to your videos. I watch 3 to 4 videos a day. ( I can do that because I'm retired ) My wife says I nee d to get up and do something. I just say honey get me another glass of tea , me and Chris have a lot of work to do. 👍
Worked on a lot of movie locations. Nearly all the trucks had to be on track mats or they would plough up the grass and get stuck but I could just drive through no problem. I let them believe it was my great skill but in reality it was because I had steering tyres all around. My truck was built as a high speed, high cornering speed fire tender for airport use. The almost flat profile meant it did not dig in or get a grip on the grass. So as long as I was gentle it just stayed clean and floated across the top. As you say having no mud stuck in there makes all the difference.
So I'm like curious... for a skid steer with the 4 tires, you can buy like tracks that mount over the tires. I wonder if anyone makes or if it's possible to use something like that on the rear tires of the dump truck. In my mind it would work but with the diffs locked it would be harder to turn but in opened diffs would still turn like normal and kinda be a little like a diff lock cause each tire would spin together on one side of the truck... idk food for thought 🤔
