Saved a bunch of money on labor by watching this video 5 times last night. New door is in thanks to your instructions. Also followed your video on wiring and accomplished that task to. Thanks a million! SUBSCRIBED!
Great video... thank you!! Shouldn't the house wrap turn into the door jamb before the door is installed and shouldn't we have some sort of Z flashing of the top of the horizontal brick mold, that goes under the wrap material? How come we didn't go w/ a LH swing here?
I live in Florida and I’ve been doing a renovation and an addition on my property, all of your videos are very helpful for me. Contractors ask me if I work on construction because my knowledge but actually is your great job doing a lot of wonderful tutorials. Thanks 🙏
@@TheExcellentLaborer framing just passed today and rough electric ⚡️ is coming tomorrow, I just finished getting all outlets and switches ready for it. Thanks again for your dedication to help others. 💪💪💪💪
Good job . New construction door go pretty smooth . I watched a guy take 2 days trying to hang a door , all I could do is shake my head 🤣 3rd day I offered to help him and i had his door hung in 15 min . All he could do was shake his head 🤣
ohhhh yeah, He's got the Ridgid driver.. Much better than the DeWalt... In my opinion. Anyway, excellent video. I recently built my own garage and am now at the point to making sure I install the door exactilly the correct way. Just one question though, an 1/8" gap all around is really what I am trying to shoot for, right? I still need to frame in the rough opening for the door which is why the question. Thanks!!
No mention of siting the door contact with the strike-side weatherstripping. This is a crucial point, and you can’t assume it’s even from threshold to head jamb.
hello good day, thanks for your videos but I have a big question; Can the door be put on without removing the plastics that it has in the holes of the hinges? first nail on the outside frame and then remove cut the plastics with a multi tool, do you understand what I mean?
5 different guys would install a door 5 different ways butttttt I would've flashed that door opening before installing the door. That house wrap could've been taped as well.

New construction, is it best to install all doors before installing laminate flooring ?
What length fastener for each stage of install? Including brick moulding
Is there a video showing replacing a storm door with an exterior door with vinyl siding on the exterior?
I was wondering if there should be flashing around the door rough opening like around a window
If not covered it’s a good idea!
@@TheExcellentLaborer thanks
Your left and right are opposite of ours :P great video thanks.
Thanks for watching!

Do you ever use sill pans?
I make a sill pan using flashing tape!
@@TheExcellentLaborer Do you use them only for wood floor doorways and not concrete ones?
@@TheExcellentLaborer do you have a video on that?
Awesome
Make sure you leave room for the 1/2" drywall inside.

Why add extra 'work'?
Where can I find a door like the one you put on?
Another amazing video. Good tip on where to install the foam wedges. Installing French doors later?
Thanks Kenny! I will be installing a patio door and not the French doors in this house. Stay tuned!
