she always tries to make me look stupid when im in crowds with her.
I have a best friend that holds me back but I love her.. I can't leave her like that outta no where.

I've got people who put me down 9/10 times when I'm in a group but act like my best friend when nobody's around. I just exclude people like that from my life

I completely changed friend group recently for these reasons and I know that the people I used to talk to hate me and would say I'm a horrible person and for a while I thought that too but frankly, they were people who were against my sexuality and would constantly make remarks to make me feel small and strange. They couldn't accept me because some of the things I like they don't. Maybe I have fewer friends now. But they make me happy, having a few amazing people is better than having many people who make you feel bad about life
Antonia Parham I found myself in a very, very similar situation. Though mine was regarding our overall mentalities & how greatly they differ from one another as to sexuality. However i can most certainly relate to the condescension they made clear to advertise, which is what i wanted to avoid, & have taken the right steps towards change. =) For example say they were nervous to ask for a favour or something they then would ask in an aggressive or bluntly rude manner, which when i would explain to them how they did not need to use the aggression and rudeness to compensate for the anxiety, well never goes well..
Though at times it can be so hard to make clear to condescending individuals that you don't need to "kiss someones ass" to be respectful or nice. All the negative thoughts they use energy to create they could equally be creating positive thoughts with, which would then further better their understanding of how key optimism really is. Then saying please & thank you / accepting someone for who they are not their colour, iq, or sexuality/ the way they speak or look/ being overall supportive & so on & so forth.. may not be such a daunting task.. =)

Suli, you are the greatest person I have ever met. Your words speak the truth. I literally just cried because of how happy I am for having such great friends who're always there for me in my life. Thank you for giving us people realization on such little things that makes us become more positive and headstrong in life. You are the best. Keep doing what you're doing~

never been the type to have many friends, wasn't bothered by it either, i just enjoy being alone and have a few friends i hang out with, good people, i enjoy hanging with them, and i have no problems cutting toxic people out either. peace.
this is so true year 7,8 and 9 i hanged around with people who would just chat all lesson im in year 10 now and understand what was happening ive now got friends who help me and push me forward the gcse system helps it puts you in new classes with new people and so far im enjoying learning and my new friends Suli Breaks thank you

It’s been over 4 years that I saw this video. I remember perfectly having a best friend, we’ve been friend for over 11 years. Now That we have grown, I’m in college and seeking into law enforcement . He is into music but he doesn’t work, he has no potential, and I gave him everything, food, clothing and even bought him a musical app that cost $900 dollars. However it’s been 3 years and I hasn’t done nothing yet and I had to leave him because while I’m moving up he still On the same level because he’s comfortable where he is and it’s sad but I guess life will present me new friends with ambitions and maybe find a new best friend.
If it wasn’t for this video, I’m not sure what would happen, but thank you for making me opening my eyes.

Some times we are with some bad friends who bring us down, but we fail to see it, because our personalities are really similar.
