Fourth if person is ECFMG certified is it necessary to have GMC registration? Fifth iam IMG but living here in US mean having US green card so ILETS is must for me ? Last being US citizens what are the requirements to apply for MRCP as IMG out of US thank you

    Thanks for the information doc. This will come in handy. I have a question. I am a final-year med student and was planning for sitting the PLAB1 test after graduation. However, the Korean government went very wrong and they just don't let us take a license test this year. (We took part in a demonstration against gov', that's why)
    Anyway, I was wondering if I wasn't able to get an official license this year, could I sit PLAB 1 test after graduation? (Graduation will be in January next year)

    Hi! I am a "FY2" in Malaysia. I plan to become a paediatrician and work in the UK. Which pathway would you recommend? (1) Take PLAB and start FYP in the UK or (2) complete MRCPCH and apply as a ST1 in the UK?

    • @lavnya70
      @lavnya70  4 года назад +1

      If you want to work and settle in UK, best to come here as soon as possible. So I would suggest to take PLAB and apply for trust grade (SHO level), post in UK. After 6-12 months, apply for specialty training in paediatrics ST1. It is also much easier to take MRCPCH while doing paediatric specialty training here.

    Hi there! I’m a medical graduate from Ukraine! And my studies were for 6 years, we as students had a lot of practical training for the last three years in the hospitals , does that count as internship or some form of experience, as I have read on the GMC website in order to apply directly FY2 if the student had a period of pre-graduate clinical experience outside the UK. This is usually referred to as an internship.? So would that mean I can go directly for FY2?
