      Alhamdulillah… Alhamdullilah…. 🙏
      I passed my PLAB in FIRST attempt and I believe that after the will of Allah, it was the hard work and the best teaching skills put in by my mentor Dr Hamed, Common stations academy. 💙
      I struggled to clear PLAB 1.
      Having failed PLAB 1 twice, I always felt maybe I am not worth it or maybe I am not as intelligent as others.
      Moreover, being a mother of a 2-year-old child, I was very much afraid and considered PLAB 2 as an almost impossible task.
      I cannot believe it, but I made it and I am proud of myself! #SayMashaAllah ☺😊😆🙈
      I am very much thankful to the wonderful members of this PLAB group from the bottom of my heart. 🙏
      You have been through this journey with me when I needed help the most.
      When I failed PLAB 1 for a second time, I was feeling so depressed and hopeless and wanted to give up. But it was your support and encouraging comments and private messages that kept me going, without them I did not have the courage to continue. I am forever grateful!
      Choosing a PLAB academy was a difficult decision for me.
      I was so desperate that I even created a poll on this group asking for your opinion.
      Of course, I went for what you recommended but only after attending common stations academy, I can say that I made the right decision following your advice. Thank you all!
      Dr Hamed takes his work very serious and his dedication is praiseworthy.
      He does not leave you at the mercy of temps and makes sure that he takes the entire course himself.
      PLAB 2 is a tricky exam, it is changing on a regular basis and trust me you cannot memorise scripts and pass this exam anymore.
      But the way Dr Hamed teaches the approach and principles of scenarios, with consistent practice, things become as simple as ABC for you.
      He will prepare you in a way that you can tackle any scenario and can just relate everything which he discussed in class in the examination hall.
      His notes are comprehensive, updated and very well organized.
      I could not leave my child for 2 consecutive weeks, but Dr Hamed was kind enough to accommodate me in different in-person courses as well as his online course.
      He is a teacher worthy of utmost respect, a teacher who you keep searching for long and you merely get! He has been no less than a blessing for my PLAB journey.
      If you failed PLAB 1 before, if you are a mum planning to give PLAB 2, if you have long gaps or have any other commitments, don’t let anything stop you from reaching your goal.
      It just needs planning and practising. Plan ahead, give yourself time and don't rush.
      I was trying to memorise DDs, risk factors, symptoms, etc when I was cooking, cleaning, dish washing, feeding my child, etc.
      I used to get up a few hours earlier than my child to study and then hand her over to my husband when he was coming home after his work.
      During the course try to find a good study partner whose circumstances match with yours, is serious and committed.
      Try to attend the academy as much you can.
      It might not be convenient to find an approved childminder during this Covid time, but your husband can take some days off work, if not, try to attend on weekends.
      Last but not least, show your sincerity, you are promised to get help from Allah!
      It is time to return the favour, feel free to direct message me if you need any help.
      I wish you all good luck and hope to see you soon in the NHS ✌

    Hellow dr Nosa 👋 your content is amazing🖤 but I want to ask sth , if I ended plab1 , 2 and I ended a foundation year in my country , what should specifically happen after this? And how can I choose my speciality?

    • @DoctorNosa
      @DoctorNosa  4 года назад

      Mohammad Soudi hello Mohammad! Thanks! Sorry I don’t understand the first question. The second question, choosing a specialty is a personal choice!

      @@DoctorNosa yes but what is the website to apply for a certain speciality?

    • @mohammadsoudi5470
      @mohammadsoudi5470 4 года назад

      My first question is that if I have applied for plab1 then I did my FY1 in my country then applied for Plab 2, what is the approach after this - regarding the website to register-? And is there a specific website for applying to residency programs in uk? Like NRMP in USA ....

    • @DoctorNosa
      @DoctorNosa  4 года назад

      Mohammad Soudi the website to apply for specialty training jobs is called oriel in the UK.

    • @DoctorNosa
      @DoctorNosa  4 года назад

      Mohammad Soudi regarding the first question, the path you take is up to you. Can I suggest you watch my video on my page called ‘HOW TO BECOME A DOCTOR IN THE UK | International Medical Graduates’ bottom line is most people get a short term job to get a reference from a U.K. consultant and then apply for specialty training after.
