  • Welcome to this new series on my channel where I will talk to my friends who after their MBBS in India went on to pursue higher training abroad - Global Med Journeys. In this episode, I’m talking to Dr. Prachi Kothari, who’s a junior doctor in the NHS. She talks us through her entire journey, resources, planning, PLAB exams and the ups and downs of the journey, with her insights and tips each step along the way. Hope you find this helpful and drop in your suggestions for what country should I cover next?

Incredible girls! I am a Consultant obgyn, just like that came aross your videos. After MBBS I wanted to pursue for USMLE. I started preparing for it from 1st year(Crazy) itself. But as I finished my MBBS (2012), I saw that all of my friends were preparing for NEET PG, I didnt have enough guidance back then. I thought without proper guidance I would not be able to crack MLE and would loose the time to become an Indian doc as well.
So here I am full of contentment and much obliged to my God and my Parents because of whom I am now a Consultant Obstetrician, Gyn Endoscopic Surgeon and Infertility Specialist. 🙏😅
