Another question, now that passing mrcs and mrcp exams gives one gmc registration, can one use the registration to apply for junior doctor positions or fy2 or non-training positions to get used to the system instead of getting directly into the respective training/registrar jobs?
You mentioned they no longer take GP and PSYCH trainees directly through the mrsa exam route, So is there a way for an IMG outside the UK who has not done plab to enter into UK directly into GP or psych training without doing plab?
Hey Doc, your IELTS video has helped me a lot and thankyou so much for that. Now, what about getting into OBGYN vis MSRA? The top percent get into training without an interview. Is this route advisable?
I was in a trust grade post sponsored by a trust. Fy2 standalone posts are training posts sponsored by HEE. I'm still doing trust grade F2 but starting training in a month as hee sponsored ct1
Hi, First, thank you for all the information displayed. I'm a doctor from Brazil trying to get my GMC registration and already have the IELTS score needed. Could you indicate me a good Health Care International recruiter with NHS Trusts that offer to pay for the GMC process and the costs of the journey? Sincerely, Müller
If we leave gp training in between will gmc take any action on that or anything like that. Second , does it our portfolio in anyway. Please tell more about it. Thanks
No. But you'll have to speak to a few higher up people if you want to quit GP. Portfolio not affected. But anywhere you apply you'll have to explain why you wasted a GP seat.
Hi doc, Does the one-year house job from back home count for both foundation years, or do we need to get an FY2 job in the UK after PLAB? I wish to apply to CST after PLAB. Do I need any post-house job experience from my home country? How should I proceed to CST realistically, and what jobs/posts would I need to fill in between?
Don't show more than 18 months of surgery rotation as part of house job or you won't be allowed to apply at cst 1st year level. You should also have over 1 year gap from time of mbbs completion to count for F2. So applying for cst after internship won't be possible.
@drAbhinavKr So, taking a gap year after the internship is necessary for CST. Is that gap supposed to be an F2 level job in the UK, or should I go for a formal teaching here and/or maybe try to clear the MRCS?
Hey, in my research for postgraduate opportunities in the UK i saw some universities offering 3 - year GP online distance learning courses. Are such online courses accredited? Can i get rcgp registration and gmc registration if i study and graduate?
I shared a graph in this video about previous hiring trends. ruclips.net/video/zIW2UgOaCIA/видео.html I think we're in the trough of that graph with regard to hiring. It's very difficult but not impossible to get a job if you try. But definitely impossible if you don't try.
So first you subtly try to discourage people from going straight into training. Then you outrightly say you want it "regulated". I wish the "regulations" existed BEFORE YOU came in. IMGs like you have forgotten how hard it is to know exactly where you fit in in a new system. We do MSRA because we actually want to be GPs. If anyone finds outs half way that it's not for them that's fair. So stop putting out these ridiculous videos.
I want to become GP. SIMPLE. I dont intend to join any other specialty. What things can i do back home to strengthen my CV for it. I am on plab pathway but recently decided to give MRCP part 1 so it will look good on my CV. Not sure how this will come across in my interview when applying for jobs. (If i get them) As you mentioned people come to UK through MSRA route, start with GP training and then join their desired specialty once they get them? Well that's not fair to someone who genuinely wants to become GP in the UK. Will MRCP 1 come across as irrelevant on my CV? I hope they don't think i will also deceive and run away from GP like many others!
Hello Dr Abhinav...Been watching your videos all the time, fabulous work! I'm GMC registered, No job. So, Core Surgical Training via MSRA, Q1) Worth it? (Q2) Does having NHS experience give me an edge ? (I have 4yrs India exp less than 18mts of surgery) (Q3) How about aiming for ST3 surgery after CREHST? I hope you'd take time to answer these Abhinav, a ray of hope in darkness. Many thanks!!
It does need a crest form. People often get that signed in their home country itself after 1 year of work experience. Although crest from abroad doesn't translate into much value in the UK from my experience. Best is the FY2 route with crest signed in the UK itself.
Hello sir is it necessary that the College has to be sponsored by ecfmg to take plab 1 i m from Telangana in india my clg name is in world directory of medical schools but not sponsored by ecfmg and is it possible to get surgical branch in uk after passing plab Hope you will reply I have been following you since a year
Ecfmg doesn't sponsor colleges. Please watch my previous videos to know more. ruclips.net/video/Fj8RmemVEFo/видео.html Also you for your second question. All the best.
That's not false hope. It's more of a risky call to join the nhs in a training post. Because basic knowledge of the nhs as a system and how it operates is lacking when an IMG enters speciality training. And if god forbid huge mistake happens and you're sacked out of training. That would be a career ending situation at least regarding practicing medicine in UK because your chances of getting into another training would be so slim
Very wrong advice .People use GP to enter the system as a back door .I am seeing so many IMG'S who joined Gp trainee as thr first job .After 3 years what they will do ? They will get saturated and many Gps will come out,who doesnt know what to Do .After 3 years trainee who will give COS for another 2 yrs aftr training and later ILR .Bro you may get some money for putting this video. But see the bigger picture ,you are making a broken system more broken .
I have disclaimed multiple times about this route in the video. At the start, and again at the end. The government should definitely make this route more restricted to prevent misuse
Funny we have many coming to the UK from developing nations and all UK native doctors running to US, Australia and Canada
sure you would want it to be regulated.. cuz you are already there.
I didn't take that route. I'll have 1 year 11 months of F2 experience before I enter speciality training
@@drAbhinavKr that was your choice. You don't now have to advocate for that choice to be taken from others.

I was in a trust grade post sponsored by a trust. Fy2 standalone posts are training posts sponsored by HEE.

Is it possible to get a surgery training job, and complete FRCS also in the UK?

No. Don't fall for this scam.
@@drAbhinavKr thanks 🤝
How useful is the msra route if I want to secure a training job in internal medicine?
The exam material is similar. But no other benefit. So might as well prepare for mrcp 1 instead.
What are the job opportunities for an mbbs graduate with out any licence exam at any post ?
Can you put some light on it
Can a MBBS Graduate work as a junior doctor in UK without an internship. Please let me know the procedure.
Nope. Unless you start in F1. Which is an internship equivalent
Already explained elsewhere
Do you recommend still an Indian MG to opt for PLAB or should they stick to NEET PG? Your honest opinion please based on your own experience.

Doesn't msra need crest form and training application sir

very informative video.. im a 3rd year medical student..could you share few sites for certified online courses..which is reliable for CV
Oxford teach the teacher course. Very expensive though.
Whats the criteria for Sitting In MsRA exam....i heard it needs 2 years of Uk training 😢
It needs crest form. Which needs 1 year of experience anywhere, as long as your consultant signs the crest form.
