    That's not gonna last long, I mean people already got aware of this now everyone is taking MSRA even before passing plab 2 and it'll continue but the problem many will be dismissed from the program because of lack of knowledge

    Hey Doc, your IELTS video has helped me a lot and thankyou so much for that. Now, what about getting into OBGYN vis MSRA? The top percent get into training without an interview. Is this route advisable?

    I want to become GP. SIMPLE. I dont intend to join any other specialty.
    What things can i do back home to strengthen my CV for it.
    I am on plab pathway but recently decided to give MRCP part 1 so it will look good on my CV.
    Not sure how this will come across in my interview when applying for jobs. (If i get them)
    As you mentioned people come to UK through MSRA route, start with GP training and then join their desired specialty once they get them?
    Well that's not fair to someone who genuinely wants to become GP in the UK.
    Will MRCP 1 come across as irrelevant on my CV?
    I hope they don't think i will also deceive and run away from GP like many others!

    If we leave gp training in between will gmc take any action on that or anything like that.
    Second , does it our portfolio in anyway.
    Please tell more about it. Thanks

    • @drAbhinavKr
      @drAbhinavKr  4 дня назад

      No. But you'll have to speak to a few higher up people if you want to quit GP. Portfolio not affected. But anywhere you apply you'll have to explain why you wasted a GP seat.

      I was in a trust grade post sponsored by a trust. Fy2 standalone posts are training posts sponsored by HEE.
      I'm still doing trust grade F2 but starting training in a month as hee sponsored ct1

      I shared a graph in this video about previous hiring trends. ruclips.net/video/zIW2UgOaCIA/видео.html
      I think we're in the trough of that graph with regard to hiring. It's very difficult but not impossible to get a job if you try. But definitely impossible if you don't try.

      The exam material is similar. But no other benefit. So might as well prepare for mrcp 1 instead.

    Hi doc,
    Does the one-year house job from back home count for both foundation years, or do we need to get an FY2 job in the UK after PLAB?
    I wish to apply to CST after PLAB. Do I need any post-house job experience from my home country? How should I proceed to CST realistically, and what jobs/posts would I need to fill in between?

    • @drAbhinavKr
      @drAbhinavKr  4 дня назад

      Don't show more than 18 months of surgery rotation as part of house job or you won't be allowed to apply at cst 1st year level. You should also have over 1 year gap from time of mbbs completion to count for F2. So applying for cst after internship won't be possible.

    • @burgundyonmytshirt
      @burgundyonmytshirt 4 дня назад

      @drAbhinavKr So, taking a gap year after the internship is necessary for CST. Is that gap supposed to be an F2 level job in the UK, or should I go for a formal teaching here and/or maybe try to clear the MRCS?

    Hi,
    First, thank you for all the information displayed.
    I'm a doctor from Brazil trying to get my GMC registration and already have the IELTS score needed. Could you indicate me a good Health Care International recruiter with NHS Trusts that offer to pay for the GMC process and the costs of the journey?
    Sincerely,
    Müller

    Doesn't msra need crest form and training application sir

    • @drAbhinavKr
      @drAbhinavKr  7 дней назад

      It does need a crest form. People often get that signed in their home country itself after 1 year of work experience. Although crest from abroad doesn't translate into much value in the UK from my experience. Best is the FY2 route with crest signed in the UK itself.

      It needs crest form. Which needs 1 year of experience anywhere, as long as your consultant signs the crest form.
