- We did a tech video testing the amperage of the stock charge coils and upgraded coils with a voltage regulator on a @duromaxpower 7HP. The parts we used can be found on our Amazon store.

Good vid. Very few vids out there explaining that when you are using insulated dual parallel coils, the red and black wires go directly to the 2 inputs of the regulator. Red and black doesn’t matter and the coils are not grounded to the chassis.

Thank you for making this video! Any chance you have a part number for an upgraded flywheel that outputs more power?
I have a different regulator/rectifier, the one that has the red, yellow, pink and green wires. I know the red and green wires are power and ground on the regulator/rectifier. Does the black and red wires from the coil both go to the input wires on the regulator/rectifier?
Have you used this coil kit on bigger duromax engines? I am looking to upgrade the coils on my 420
It should work fine for the 420.
Where do u buy these and will they work with aftermarket flywheels or will the magnet get damaged? I been looking into this for 2 years now and nobody seems to know about this not go power or omb or arc racing

Great video! That's cool that the Duromax 208cc has a charge coil! do predators have a charging coil? the "Canadian" predators don't have them.
Most pull start only engines don't have the charge coils. Most electric start engines do, but likely the singe amp style coil. The predator will need a new flywheel with magnets for this modification to work.
