in have a 10ft jon boat also i welded a trolling motor mound to the front and welded a bracket for a 12 inch light bar i built flooring for it with carpet and i have a 6hp jhonson with it the weight really levels out with it

I have a different regulator/rectifier, the one that has the red, yellow, pink and green wires. I know the red and green wires are power and ground on the regulator/rectifier. Does the black and red wires from the coil both go to the input wires on the regulator/rectifier?

the "sensor" is your electronic fuel shutoff for the carb when u turn the key into the on position not starting it you will hear it click after you turn it off it disengages. ik im late to the post lol but for anyone wondering in the comments

How do you like that duromax ? I just got my 14-36 with a 670 swamp runner on it. I built the transom heavy 1.5 thick aluminum and 1/4 plate covering most the back and another top channel that goes up the top rails and rivets down. Bolts through back got the weight set so It does good in the water but my question is, is it okay to leave the motor on when I don’t use it on the trailer ? Do you guys ? Like is it okay structurally like have you ever ran into weight bowing or denting pushing floor you were boat meets bunks ??

The farmers or someone else may have tired to blow it up sometime before 1993 flood, but I and uncle was looking at the dam from the road tresel Bridge directly across as a debet in the water line showing .mas amont of water pouring over top with me pointng at it when the dam blew , we ran from from the spot ,seeing part of concrete dam being pushed our way by the burst of water. I can never imagine a flood bigger since 1993, the flood covered the road west of bridge, we had to take a dirt road to get to west side of dam.

One thing i learned when i was growing up is that you dont need to go fast on the water. Id rather soak in the beauty and splendor of just being on the water. My Dad's friends would always laugh at his 25hp Merc. on his huge fishing boat. It got us there 10 minutes later and who cares how fast you get there.

What do you think of a 14-36 with a swamp runner 670 ? Maybe with float pods.I don’t want transom to break because the bottom corner has been welded in past but it’s got a TBN aluminum 1.5 thick transom. Two floor to transom triangle braces in it already then I got a 36-14 1/4 aluminum plate bolted through the back and transom. You think it will hold up with rough roads and the weight ? Hope to hear back !!

How did you re enforce that Transom? I plated the back of mine with aluminum and bolted it. we will see how it does

What rpm are you turning to get 18mph on the 224? Governor removed?

Ive already got a 1032 and wanting to put a 7.5 mud motor on it but I am needing to put two guys and gear in it. Any idea the performance with two adult males and gear in that 10ft?? I dont need to run on plane, just need to go up current about 8-10 mph if I can.

Good vid. Very few vids out there explaining that when you are using insulated dual parallel coils, the red and black wires go directly to the 2 inputs of the regulator. Red and black doesn’t matter and the coils are not grounded to the chassis.

Do you have a picture of the finished install? I’ve got a xp18hpe and I’m trying to get the idle rpm down new 2k. But the lowest I can get it is 2900. I think bypassing the governor and shifting the throttle lever to a direct pull on the throttle blade will solve this for me. If I close the throttle by hand I can get it to smoothly idle at 1800-1900 rpm’s. 4000 rpm on my 1436 is more than enough speed for me. Gets me to 16-17mph

Was it difficult to set up the throttle cable with that stock throttle “knob”. I am wanting to get one of these to replace an existing motor, but wasn’t sure on how that worked. Thanks

I was watching this video just to Simply figure out why mine's not firing cuz I took the side case off to do a seal put the 10 mm if you can find it I had to stop and comment on let alone this video is priceless gone but not forgotten 10 mm 13 mm and a T25 Torx head
