There's a good chance they may yet come out with one later down the line, the new Gen2's only are only launching with a limited selection of calibers until they get the rest of the lineup going.
Just bought one today. Waited so many years for the Gen 1 to restock since the start of covid and glad I waited long enough for the Gen II to come out. Waiting 10 days now.
I don’t love the look of the fluting, but it’s more acceptable on the short barreled Ranch model (because there’s less of it.). Just about everything else about the Gen IIs sounds great. The Gen I Ranches are tough, affordable and accurate little utility rifles.
This Gen 2 sounds promising. Gen 1 had a great CH barrel for the price, but the rest of the rifle was meh. I’ll wait for some testing: let’s see if the new stock doesn’t flex with a bipod and lets the barrel truly free float this time.
Would it still have a good shoulder for a suppressor, because of the fluted barrel, if I wanted to chop a 300 blackout model barrel back to the stock as a sbr or would it only work with the Gen 1 as I’ve already seen?
Nice. Every rifle should have a threaded barrel now. I’ve been looking for a soft shooting bolt gun with a 16” barrel that doesn’t break the bank as my son’s eventual first deer rifle.
