Creamy Shrimp Pasta in Bisque Sauce (prawns)

- Call it a prawn linguine or a shrimp pasta, this dish will transport you and your taste buds to a fine dining restaurant by the Mediterranean seaside. You can now make this shrimp pasta dish fast at home, where it can take many hours in a professional kitchen. if you’re a seafood lover, the flavours will leave you breathless I promise you. It’s well worth the extra effort of making the stock, as that’s where the magic is. This recipe provides three prawns per person, fairly much what you would receive in a fine dining restaurant, but for me, I like to double the quantity, just saying… A tasty Mediterranean dish combining both French and Italian influences. Best cooking channel on youtube ever! Hands down! The attention to detail on everything is just amazing! The recipe is not what most youtube channels have (like salt, pepper, meat, walah, done.). I have to say that all your recipes are up to good restaurant quality presentation and taste wise! It's so easy to make every food on tv look good but Chef Joel is different, he makes sure that it tastes as good as it looks!

I made this pasta today and have to say its the best pasta i ever made. Besides tasting ridicoulusly good, it is eye pleasing (green from the parsley and red of the chilli) and has a pretty nice sauce consistency. I can recommend this 100%

This recipe looks amazing. Definitely going to try..I don't have anchovies or white wine. Today I tried your other shrimp pasta recipe and used rum instead of wine. The taste was still very good. So I think for this recipe I will use the rum again.

Question, are the anchovies sorta mandatory for this recipe?
Not mandatory, but they simply season and enhance the flavour, you don't taste the anchovies at all.
I like it that a master Chef like him uses a knife from Ikea. I am using the same knife. :-)
I have my professional knives and occasionally I'll try other brands. Quite happy with my little Ikea paring knife 👍

I just made prawn bisque and my friend said it would go well with pasta, so I was curious if it’s a thing. Turns out it is!
just did a very similar recipe, if you want to go the extra mile blend the head and shells with the stock and then pass it through a six to get that extra shrimp taste

Today 6-2023 we made this using different seafood " Chesapeake bay Blue 🦀 " same method. My Wife is a fussy eater, well she didn't want dinner as she ate her's as dinner. Folks, don't be affaid to look beyond, you'll be amazed also. I'm going to enjoy 😉. Soft Boiled crabs 2 hrs and did the rest same way, pan cooked the shrimp 🍤 made a Ryu butter and flour, taste and adjusted. All said and done 3 to 4 hours. Just not some good cooking, but ,wow, holly smokes this something good. All you need is Time. Later friends back to some good eating 😋

After last night's shrimp and streaky bacon paella, I wanted to make good use of my remaining tiger prawns and my freshly made shrimp stock. Luckily, your recipe came up on a google search, and this evening I followed it (with the one small addition of mustard seeds). Wow! That creamy bisque has a ton of flavour and a real kick to it. It's definitely gonna be one of my go-to meals for the foreseeable. Thanks a lot, pal. One or two more recipes like this and you will've earned yourself another subscriber. I just make stock using bouillon powder and I cook pasta in pot with stock. I hate using too many pans. I add the head and shells in to to extract flavor
