thanks man, straight to the point.
Hi Tony, thanks for watching! Yes, this technique would work for what you're trying to accomplish, but please note that it would be recommended to have your rectangles overlap each other slightly in case your registration isn't perfect.
big props to you guys for teaching random public your trade...back in the day people would have killed for a screen printer to give them 10 minutes of what to do...

song at end is a hit
Well what this video did tell me was that I'm best off going to a professional for this sort of thing.... cos I haven't got the time, energy, interest or knowledge.... but clearly you do.
But what I will say is it give me an insight into screen printing I didn't have.
Hey there, I suppose it was more around 5" since the artwork was down about another inch away from the registration marks. That doesn't necessarily mean that is where you should place the films on your screens though, the distance down will depend on where your platens fit on your press, and the size of the image. The important thing is you use the same measurement down on each screen for the design you're burning. Hope that helps! :)
Thanks man
nice good explanation
Thanks bro
This was a great vifeo
Oooops! *Great video!!!!!!
Please keep uploading vids
Thanks so much. I have a athletic line of 3 designed shirts and I will probably will be producing 3 design's each season. If I get alot of orders I will just contract the orders out but I suspect I will be getting smaller orders. So do you think The beginner silkscreeningsupplies for 199.00 with no micro registration or should I try to find a line table press? Which I can't find anywhere. Again thanks for responding and happy easter. Tony PS I subscribed.
hey hope you can help i´m having problem to get a halftone efect en my t shirts on the past you gave help me whit that on photoshop and it all great i have the screen 120 cuz im from mexico and thats the best ther is for this. so what i want to ask is if the light table will make any diference or is it that the room where i make the screen has light like soft light from the sun i mean it has more light that the room you do your´s is there any repercutions or anything?
hey bro i want to know which transparent film n printer are u using.
I have a design where I have 3 rectangle strips across the shirt about an inch thick all with 3 different colors. I have no lines separating the colors. Would this process your showing me here work for my situation of the colors being right up against each other with out a line separating them ? Thanks so much for your time. Tony
where did you buy the transfer paper and does it matter what type you buy?
What brand of press are you using with the joystick registration? Also how wide is it?
Good tutorial. I wouldn't, however, tape off the reg marks before making a test print. Easier to adjust if it's off a little bit.
Hey, so did you technically place your artwork more like "5 inches" down from the top since you added about an inch by placing your artwork at the outer edge of your t-square?
what type of printer to you use for your transparencies.
sir what emultion do you use with brown color in this video?
I understand you register the screens so the screens are perfectly aligned. Lets say all screens are perfectly aligned. You print one screen and move on to the next screen. You rotate the next screen freely and stop over the shirt and pull down the screen. How do you know the screen will land on the same spot you aligned??? I ask that because I see people in videos switch over to the next screen and pull it down. You can rotate the screens so freely so I would like to know how do you know when to stop and land on the same spot. It doesn't seem like there is tension to stop you when you spin to the next screen.
There is a stopper that places each screen at the exact same positing on the platen.
Thanks.
What song is that at the end?
You need something to keep it all lined up accurately, but you can make a press at home for fairly cheap. search home made screen press.
where do you buy those large transparencies ?????????
Any particular reason why you do 4inches down?
can you do holograms with this ? or print n holographic foil ? thanks in advance
Is there any way to do this without a press?
cuz i just dont get the quality of from the shirt of your tutorial the one that has the half tone efect and it is really bugging me. and also how can i separate the colors from the images is ther an special way or is it a software?
another tip...if you tape your reg marks on the ink side of the screen then they can be removed and be free of ink just in case the screen needs to be re registered during a long print run.....easier to check your reg marks later if they're clear of ink.... :-)
When you print the image on the stranfer paper do you mirror it on photoshoot
Photoshop
My father in law is an artist and they want to start making tshirts if the prints he has. But I can't figure out how to separate the multi color images.
horizontal position does matter if you are on an automatic press
what kind of paper is? please :)
More screen print rap!
Insperi
I'm pissed that I hadn't seen this video 4yrs ago when I first bought my machine. I've been going through a ritual for nothing at all!!!!!!!
how do you make the transparancies for 3 colors or multi colors. I assume you have everything on a computer and you print off a transparancy for each color, but how do you do this? what software separates the colors?
I use Adobe Illustrator
Like your table says, you DO f'ing rule! Thanks for this vid & all the others you make!!! It's Billy the brains of TAiNT but youtube has character limits. TAiNT was my current band's former name but b/c I had a friend get fired from a radio station for saying taint on air we decided we should change so we went with CAHADA. We've only got two homemade demo songs up b/c we're relatively new but we're working on it. Check us out on FB or Reverbnation and if you dig it click the Like button.
Tape the backside of the screen where the emulsion doesn't cover it you're gonna have a bad time.
