    Ive wasted a whole roll of vinyl tryinf to do my jewelry labels.. ive tried different settings etc. Its the premium shimmer vinyl. Actually ive tried foil vinyl too...same issues. Either doesnt cut all yhe way or rubs my vinyl design off when cutting. Idk what to do...

      Try different cut settings and perhaps a larger font that is not as skinny.

    Firstly thank u for all ur tutorials, really helped me alot as a beginner. Anyway I have a Joy xtra and it doesn't have the washi setting, what can I use as an alternative?

      You can try a custom setting and set it for a lighter pressure and 2 passes.

    Sorry for late comment/question it I am new to Cricut and just came by your video.
    Coming from laser work and Lightburn software I am surprised no YT blogger has ever suggested using the custom material capability of the materials library.
    I would personally start as you did testing different material settings, but beyond that I would then create an appropriately named custom entry and tweak settings as needed to get best cut. That way I don’t have to “remember” which material to use all the time with when cutting various materials that have problems cutting on expected material settings. I hope that makes sense.

      Try adding a small offset then welding the fold to the offset. This will bulk it up just a bit and make it a tiny bit thicker.

    You are my go to for how to use my cricut, so I thought you might have an idea of why.......My sisters cricut only cuts to the right regardless of where she places her design in Design space. Shes done all the things like recalibrate, uninstall/reinstall design space, relocate the image to a different place in design space. This happens when she does print and cut and cut.shes ready to give up. Thanks

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  Год назад

      There have been some issues with print then cut lately. Have her uninstall design space and redownload and install it. Then calibrate. Make sure you are picking cut lines that are in the center when calibrating and run the calibration a few times.

    Thank you for this! Does the light grip mat work better? I think I saw on another YT channel that someone used the premium cardstock for intricate cuts (this might be the same as mentioned in another comment) with their vinyl & if my memory is correct, it worked well. Wondering if you have found any huge difference in adhesive vinyl brands with the same cut settings you show here? Do you have tips for intricate cuts with other materials? Thank you so kuch, Angie!!
