On your parchment paper hack, when placing the decal in the center of the plate, I would cut a strip of parchment paper from the middle. Then placing the decal on the plate, making sure the decal is absolutely in the middle. Then I stick the middle to the plate and work from the middle to the edges.
Thanks for the tip!
Wow. That htv removal hack with the mini iron is Amazing!!! Thx!! 👌
Glad you like it!
I love the lint roller idea!
Glad you love it!
Excellent! I still haven’t used my cricut I fell and damaged my shoulder! I want to use it so much! Hope the babies are well and the older kids too! They are so lucky to have you and Courtney!
Hope you feel better now, Cathy. Stay safe!
These hacks are amazing ♥️
Glad you think so!
Tanner, you always amaze us with incredible tips and info. You’re the best!
I appreciate that!
So many amazing ideas and clever crafters - thankyou
Glad you liked it! Thank you for watching. 😊
Hi thank you for all your hacks. Im a newbie and today my Explorer are cutting of some of the letters and the figures by a half a mm to 1 mm it is very frustrating what can I do to prevent it in the next projects?
The vinyl removal is a real winner!
Will the removing the heat transfer work ones been on there for ages (year plus) as going to use heat transfer vinyl to label his school uniform
This video is so awesome, such great and useful hacks - and so simple!
Glad you think so! ❤
Looking forward to this.
Such great tips!
Glad you think so!
That mandala hack and the lint roller’s transfer tape are the best hacks ever. Just an FYI. It was difficult to see some of the hacks with the camera so far away. Thanks Tanner 😊
You're welcome!
Can't see anything you're doing 😢
Not sure about the confetti, how would you arrange such tiny pieces on the correct side to press.
Ty for tips & tricks or "hacks" in this video!!!
Glad you liked it! Thank you for watching. 😊
Doesn't the needle slide out?
I've done this, and the needle does not slide out. Just make sure the needle you use is the same thickness as the original pencil lead. Also, to retract the needle, you have to push down the eraser, and gently press the needle back up by pushing it (needle side down) on the table. It's a great hack.
Thank you.
Good evening everyone! Jersey Shore here!
These are all such awesome tricks! But that cardstock setting hack for mandalas is GOLD! Thank you Tanner 💕
You're so welcome!
The hack with the parchment paper... It's a great hack BUT ... Most people begin by only folding back their parchment paper by about 10% at most because it's much easier to position the vinyl accurately, and to keep it lined up from then on, if only a bit of the transfer paper is stuck down at first and none of the vinyl.
That's kind of funny about the less than $2 diy weeding tool using a Dollar Tree mechanical pencil when you can buy a weeding tool at Dollar Tree for $1.25.
I've tried the lint roller trick but the "plastic" type was too sticky and I could't get the vinyl to xfer. Maybe the paper kind works better?
Click on the video, on the bottom right hand corner, you will see a square, click on that, then you can put your fingers on the video to make larger
Can you clarify the reverse weeding? Where did you put the transfer tape! Which side? Sorry. Confused.
Your intro audio balance is much higher than your actual content. Try reducing the intro decibels to -15 to -20 🙂
Love the monogram - not sure which one it is on the MGL site... is the floral design a separate file? TY
Hi Tanner. I recently used the mini press hack to remove HTV from a shirt. It worked just like you said it would, BUT the HTV left a residue that I was unable to remove after removing the vinyl. I tried Acetone, Goo Gone and even a rubber adhesive remover block to get rid of the residue but nothing worked. Any suggestion on how to remove the HTV glue residue?
The mini press dosent have a heat setting like a 2 or 3 u said so how does that work? And when holding on the mini press how do u stop other letters comming of like the above letter if u don’t want them of. As they both look like they are on the press
Sticky back plastic works as transfer tape as I use it as when I got my maker second hand did not get transfer tape
In the HTV confetti hack, Does it matter what side gets put on the item you want to iron it on? I've had a letter stick to my protector sheet and not the shirt.
I wondered the same. No doubt they are not all in the right position (glue down) when dropping them especially the tiny teeny ones which are not so easy to control. Some would stick to the protector sheet and change the overall look as a result !?
Lol! Yes you need to ensure the adhesive side is down on the project otherwise it will not adhere.
i found tictoc app on micro store but every time i try to download it says it cant because of a problem on there side what the heck so frustrating
I have tried the HTV removal from a shirt. It does still leave behind some adhesive which over time/wear will not look good.
Your camera needs to be closer so that we can easily see what you’re doing
Always looking to learn new hacks ..tips and just getting ideas. Thanks 😍😍
You are so welcome!
The needle in the mechanical pen - EXCELLENT! I broke my pin pen but I have a ton of mechanical pencils and sewing needles and it works!!!
Dollar tree has weeding tools for $1.25
Pretty sure you can just buy a weeding tool at the dollar store
Great timing. I'm about to make another cheer team project; clear plastic cosmetic bags this time.
What's a good heat transfer paper for tshirts ?
6:00 Parchment paper hack for lining up design
Camera is too far for us to see the hacks well
The HTV doesn’t need to go on on only one side?
The reverse weeding will be really helpful. Not sure why I’ve never thought of this.🤷🏼♀️
Glad you liked it! Thank you for watching. 😊
Do yall teach classes at the studio
Would using the cardstock setting work for adhesive vinyl if after cutting but before removing the smallest pieces transfer tape was applied to then reverse weed the rest? Or could that damage a mat?
Too far away to follow what you are doing.
I made a similar design today, next time i will try the parchment paper 😋
Have fun!
I know we're not supposed to "seal" permanent vinyl, but I'd like to make the edges of the lettering less prominent. (on wood)
Is there SOMETHING we can use as a final clear topcoat over permanent vinyl?? (PS... it will be an outdoor sign)
Where can I find the heat press you are using in this video?
Here's the link amzn.to/2XF6RAA.
Great hacks! Especially for the weeding htv near heat. I discovered this accidentally yesterday morning as I was ripping through my craft space trying to make a last minute shirt for my son. I had just loaded my cricut with the second color to cut, and had preheated my shirt. I realized I hade no space to weed the first cut so I put it on top of the preheated shirt and the vinyl hopped on my weeding tool like Rose on that door, the rest stayed back, like Jack (but for good reason). Then all I saw was my big break. I saw my name in stars and decided to plan the "release" of this "new hack" but then your premiere plays in less than 24 hours after my new discovery and yeah, it's not my time yet, I guess 😀, but Thank you!
Theres another video i ran across a few months ago that shared this hack... dont b so hard on urself
Ugh,
Clear packing tape work's in a pinch too!
Using clear packing tape as transfer tape works in a pinch too
Love the mandala cutting hack!!!! Great video. Also love how you have your space organized! Great idea for the baskets for the vinyl rolls.
So glad you love them!
I am new to Cricut - finding you and joining the membership- worth every penny. Thank you for these videos.. I literally would look at my cricut and say …eh… maybe tomorrow.. now I am like - let’s get it! Just need more hours in a day! 🤣 Do you have a hack for that? 😉
I’ve been doing the heat the vinyl hack forever, I heat up my ironing board surface then put my vinyl on that and weed it, that way I don’t have to worry abought getting a burn from my heat press
I didn’t understand the reverse weeding about how the transfer tape was put on. For some reason I can’t picture it. Thank you for showing how to get htv off a shirt. I had messed up once and used the mini press on one letter on the front and it caused ghosting. I hope one day I won’t be making a lot of mistakes.
I think it's just to try to reduce the process by one step, but I agree that it seemed unnecessary. As for the 'ghosting'... Zooming in closely, it looked like he had the same issue but he didn't display the final results clearly so it's hard to be sure.
Hi there! I love your personality so much. I can see why your wife married you. I recently lost my job and back into crafting to sell items on the upcoming craft fairs in my home town. I think that in addition to giving us a list of your favorite items, you should also share the decal names, like what you did on the gold charger. Blessings to all your team. You’re an amazing teacher…a great gift from God!
Thank you so much! This is one of your better videos. It's so much quieter and much more calming. ☺️
You’re welcome 😊
Yay!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 That was sooo awesome!! Thanks for every tip! I'm headed straight to my craft room to try them all!🤣🤣
Have fun!
Tip: there are cut outs on the end of the paper roll to keep the roll in the box while you pull out what you need. Just push in the ends that are already partly cut out. That’s what they are for.
Thank you, these hacks are great
Glad you think so!
new to cruicut, will try all the hacks
Welcome!
I have made several pin pens just like yours. I makes it a very economical hack. The lint roller is a happy accident.
Tanner what Laptop do I use with my Cricut Maker??
Can you cut a Mandela like that on cardstock setting with permanent vinyl?
What setting of card stock to use to cut HTV all the way through? This looks so good I think I will try it I might use it for every HTV cut out. Save weeding mistakes
Thanks for the info.
You're welcome!
Omg cardstock cutting for mandela, just brilliant
Hi Tanner another great video, all the hacks are just awesome thank you so much for sharing you are a great teacher!!! Hugs Liz x

Hi, Tanner! Long time fan, first time commenter. Week you consider a project using the Cricut to cut out a rhinestone design?
Never thought I would ever be able to use up rolls and rolls of parchment paper left over from my quilting days! Yay!
Every single one of these was valuable. Thanks, Tanner for another fabulous session!
Glad you liked it! Thank you for watching. 😊
Do you seal your vinyl on the plate after you add it to the plate? If so, what do you use?
Loved 😊them alll
So glad you love them!
Who thinks of all of these? Miracle workers!
Thank you JESUS, that I watch your video as a beginner, it's save a lot of problem 😊 thanks a lot and GOD bless you 💕
You're welcome 😊
Hi from Lehigh Acres FL!! I love you guys!
Amazing x
Thank you for watching!
Love the intro music
So glad!
My favorite was the weeding hack for the mandala designs. I will definitely use that next time I have a complex single piece design.
Aloha from Central Texas!
Love the HTV removal hack with a mini press. Going to try today!
Go for it!
Love, love, love!, the cutting vinyl on card stock setting. ❤️👏🏼
So glad!
I'm watching you for the first time! I like your parchment paper hack and I love your excitement!
Yay! Thank you!
It's hard to pick a favorite mat hack. I am impressed with the contact paper on the felt to limit or eliminate the debris on the mat, however, I am wondering how easy it is to get the contact paper off of the felt. I also really liked the info on the off-brand mats. I have wanted to try the Nicapa mats so now I will be more confident about that. Thanks for all the info. I made lots of notes!
You're welcome!

Truly an awesome set of vinyl hacks. Thank you for sharing!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hello 👋
is there a residue left on the tshirt after you reheated and peeled the htv?
I noticed that too. Although the solution method for removal is more costly (plus you need to ventilate and wear a mask), I think it's a necessary evil so you can truly reuse the shirt.
@@leannecyr7149 Yup, he chose not to really show off the results of his efforts... :D Solution method? Please share more
Nice hacks! Thank you!
Glad you like them!
These hacks are awesome and all, but I come here for Tanner. I absolutely love their energy/personality/presence. Your joy brings me joy, and I'm sure other people are feeling the same!
Opposite. I came for the hacks but had to turn off the sound and switch on subtitles
@Centennial Rodriguez thanks so much!❤
@@Bazza.baz224 He does makes good videos but, I have to agree with you. I confess I also find the facial behavior very distracting as well. If you watch on a computer like I do, you might want to try zooming in so the video is larger and then scrolling the page so the video goes up a bit, just until his chin is hidden. I've really found that helpful as well.
I definitely enjoyed the pinhead in the pencil trick as a cheap weeding tool trick. Thanks for putting these hacks together
You're very welcome!
Just FYI, Harbor Freight has several little sets of 'picks' that work great for weeding. Look for the picks set with the orange plastic handles - it's often less than $2.
@@WebbyWunda awesome! Thanks for the info, I will definitely have to check it out!
