A great free hack to keep vinyls from unrolling is to use the cardboard inserts from bathroom or kitchen roll. Simply cut along one side and hey presto!
I have a cricut that I still feel very intimidated with so I really don't use it. Your video has me excited to pull it out and create using your hacks!! I'd love to see a pt 2.
Snap 😂 I’ve done some vinyl transfers but that’s about it. Maybe I should’ve got the joy instead of all that money for a maker 😞 I don’t know where to start tbh and all the houses cost money again x
If you start with small projects, then the intimidation will go away. Try doing some cardstock projects. And cricut's website does offer free learning plans. There's also a few youtubers that offer free tutorials. Find one or two that fit your way of learning. Don't get overwhelmed by over-subscribing as you'll end up getting confused.
I too was intimidated. It took me over a year to open it. On FB and Instagram I've seen these ads for the free workshops and summits. DO THEM!! I have been to enough of them that I'm at total ease now. Especially in Design Space. I've gone from some vinyl on Christmas ornaments too layered paper cards and shadow boxes, and now, I'm waiting for my 11 in 1 heat press. I can't wait!! Do the workshops. They're free and can be rewatched for 24hrs. I just wait for evening and skip the ones I'm not interested in.
Wow! I stopped watching Cricut hacks because they were always the same hacks. Yours was refreshingly new and useful. Joining your site right now. Thanks for the useful tips!
I love the wrist slaps idea, I've just ordered some. It’s great you can write on them too, as I get my permanent vinyl mixed up with the removable vinyl. I wish the suppliers would print it on the backing paper.
These hacks are some of the best I’ve ever seen!! Thank you! I haven’t had much luck with the washi setting nore reverse weeding myself but I’m going to keep trying alongside tweaking my cut settings. Thanks again!!
I have a Cricket Joy and I have a file box I use to organize my vinyl. I usually get all my vinyl from Amazon because it's cheaper and I already have consistent vendors I buy from. I precut my vinyl to the 4.5 by 12 and organize them by color. I'm actually thinking about getting a four-drawer filling cabinet to store my vinyl in because it will be me more space. Love these hacks :)
OMG...I also use the "slap bracelet" for my vinyl....I write "perm" "remove" in white board marker on the bracelet. Thanks for explaining all of the tricks simply.
Try stretch pony tail holders for your rolls. While I like the slap bracelet idea they can be expensive. Just found this video in my feed. Love the tips. Definitely subscribing.
Thank you for sharing, these hack were amazing. my favorite was the organization for your vinyl scraps. I will definitely use the hacks from this video🥰
I would love to see a part 2. I have thought about doing the weeding from the transfer tape before but didn't know if it would work. Thank you for making me feel more adequate while using my cricut.
