Hello Eric, Thank you, for watching and commenting my friend. The Centipede cabinet is going to be awesome. I absolutely love the Centipede artwork. I think Arcade1up did a great job with it. Enjoy your new cab!!!
I just grabbed one for $250 and free shipping... new. Can't wait to give it a play... many of my favorite games from my high school years spent at the arcade (1978-1981).
i was able to fix my stock spinner by disassembling it and cleaning the bearings with WD40. I can spin the spinner, go get a drink, come back, and the spinner is still turning. The stock spinner is actually really good if you unfoul the bearings.
Hi Michael, that is an absolutely awesome price. Congratulations! I have been hearing some people picking them up at nice prices lately but yours has to be the lowest I have heard yet. Well, you are going to love it it is a great cabinet. One of my favorites in the arcade. Have fun and thanks so much for commenting and supporting my friend. 👊🏻
Great job Jester. I love every game on that list. Just awesome classics. Love you channel. You are always honest with your reviews ,and opinions, which I really appreciate.
I agree with you completely. This is where the price point should be on these cabinets. Not a bad deal especially with the 12 games included. Great work Jester. Love your channel.
Nice video Jester. I went back and forth on this cab too. It looks really awesome, might be the coolest looking Arcade1up so far in my opinion. These are classic games too.
Hey buddy, its great to hear from you. I have to agree it is such a nice looking cabinet. Great classic games and for some reason they honestly play so nice on this cab. I was very surprised. Thanks again for stopping by and supporting. 👊
Missed opportunity with Major Havoc. A real gem of a game. The original arcade version uses the spinner (which this arcade1up unit has) - but here game only works with the trackball (!). Imagine playing tempest with a trackball - it’s doable but not the same gaming experience. Wish they would address
I do agree with you, it definitely should have been able to use both controls. It would have been very easy for them to do it. In a way, I guess the trackball does recreate the original dedicated Major Havoc cabinets as they used the roller control. Which the trackball kind of has the same feel as. But the Tempest converted kits did use the Tempest spinner. So, yes, both would have been great.
I really like the cabinet except for the aspect ratio being a bit off (tempest too narrow, Centipede too wide). This wasn't a problem with the original 12 in 1.
You know I will admit, that was one of the things I originally heard about the cabinet and it caused the originally hesitation. But, I really have to admit it doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would. Out of all, Centipede stands out the most. But gameplay is great so I really don't mind now. I appreciate your feedback. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. 👊
@@JesterTester I am happy with the cabinet and I hear you on the new prices. I really want that Tron cabinet, but again, the cost is just too prohibitive for just two games......
@@1teamski I am with you. Tron was one I was really holding out for myself. But now, I really cannot justify spending that kind of money on two games either.
I own the original 12 in 1 & i'm currently trying to sell it. It seems to have the same screen issue to me with Tempest & Centipede/millipede because it was also a horizontal screen. But what was really horrible about the original 12 in 1 was the sound, even with selector switch on "high" (loudest setting) it was still not very loud at all, especially for an arcade room where you are going to have other machines & background music playing. I was struggling to hear the game play, it was so weak & quiet. That was the main reason i got this Tempest cabinet to replace my original 12 in 1 (that & the spinner control not being that great).
It definitely is a great looking game. The cabinet, monitor, and gameplay are very nice. Only a few minor issues. The only large issue I have heard from many is that the controls stop working after 2 months or so. I have had this much longer than that, and I haven't had those problems. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it. 👍
I totally agree with you on the kickplate. My solution was to simply flip it over and have the graphic facing the inside of the cabinet. Fortunately, the flip side is finished and looks nice; perhaps Arcade1up was expecting similar opinions. Ultimately, I plan to put an LED-lit coin slot/door replica on the front. They are made of plastic (3D printer) and you can find them on eBay for around $30.
I love your ideas. I was actually doing the same thing with the molded coin door. Also turning the graphics or writing inside is always a good idea. Thanks for sharing my friend 👊🏻
Definitely agree with your review. I have this cab and I got an aftermarket Tempest/Asteroids decal to go over the horrible coin door photo on the kickplate. Otherwise a really good cab!
Wow!!! That has got to be the best deal I have heard yet. Congrats on that pick up. Two awesome cabinets for less than $200 is a steal. The Tempest cab is still one of my most played cabinets. I love that cab. Thanks so much for watching and subbing, my friend. I really appreciate it. 👍
Yes, that would really make it look perfect. I will say that the blacks and the colors in this monitor are really not bad. But it could really benefit from an oled. That would look great on the vector games. Thanks so much for stopping by and watching and commenting. I sincerely appreciate it.
At $315 now without the riser at Walmart, although I found online deals from last year where it went for about $250 with the riser during a sale. But either way, I like what Arcade1Up is finally doing with their new cabinets adding WiFi and Global Scoring Boards through the internet -- so I will wait. That feature of head to head online gaming (in their new Street Fighter and perhaps other games) and the global top score tables is worth the extra $ to me for updated cabinets. I do wonder why a true vector graphics monitor is not viable for retro asteroids, tempest, battle zone, etc type games. Can anyone make such a cabinet? Would the tech be too expensive? Thanks for your review!
Hello Mika, thanks so much for watching and supporting the channel. I agree with you and the direction the company is going with the tech in their cabinets. Also you are smart for waiting because so many great deals come down now a few months after release. Having a Vector monitor would be an awesome look but it cannot be made into an lcd format. The tech is completely different needing the vacuumed tube with the vector guns drawing the image. Plus vector monitors are notorious for breaking down. Very hard to keep them operating. Thanks again for your input my friend 👊
@@JesterTester thanks! It certainly has a different feel and look than the others i have cant wait to get it working right ..arcade 1up hopefully will get back with me soon👍
That is great. I am sure you are going to love it. It is one of my favorite cabs. Stop back when you receive it and let me know how you like it. Thanks so much for watching and supporting. 👍
Awesome job with the vid! Let's get this man to 1k and beyond! ☄Looks like a great set of games. $700 for the Simpsons arcade? $600 for X-men? These are really getting up there in price but if your a big fan, it's better than paying $4,000 plus for the original machine. This topic is interesting to me, especially for my last sentence. For retro video game systems and games, I collect only authentic for the most part. Reproductions I'm not to fond of but they are still good if you want to just play the game and have some close to authentic artwork and great display. Arcade one up machines, I have 2 of my own and I'm not concerned with it being emulation and a Reproduction. I guess we all have our specific wants and settled points.
Hey brother, thank you very much for the kind words and support my friend. I absolutely agree with you. These are great novelties in case you don't want to invest the money and the time in repair work. But I am with you.....there is nothing like original gameplay. Either from arcade machines or original consoles.
No I don't believe that hack was included. In the options settings you can only choose how many starting lives, your bonus level, and difficulty level dip switch settings.
Yes it is. But it has not been stretched on this monitor. Yes there are black voids or margin space on the left and right side. But honestly it looks just fine on this monitor.
Arcade 1UP spends all their time making the cabinets look nice, but their hardware is absolute garbage. The trackball on this thing has to be taken apart and lubricated for it to work properly. This company is a joke.
I agree completely Mike. Their hardware and quality control has always been a problem. Honestly, regarding the trackball. I was originally satisfied with the trackball on this cabinet. It worked smooth and responsive. But not long after it started to have a sandy like feel to it. I am going to change it out for a GRS one. Thanks so much for your input my friend. 👊
Then you did a pretty decent job on the price with that one. I really wish Arcade1up would stop using the stools and tin signs as a way to pad the prices. Glad you were able to get that deal. Enjoy my friend. Thanks so much for watching and commenting .👊
Nice to see someone demo the marquee game for us. I just ordered the new Centipede legacy. Similar game list.
Thanks

Just picked it up for $349.99 with FREE shipping direct from the manufacturer... a definite no-brainer for this 12-pack of fun! Can't wait!!!
Wow Congrats, what a great price! You definitely could not go wrong with that. You are going to love it. It is a great machine.
Cabinet looks great. I like how the control deck art glows under the black light. Great Review!!
It does, I love the black light in here. It just gives that complete arcade look.
