Man, glad that you the guts to do this. As soon as I received my OutRun new it wouldn't work. I had a heck of a time getting it up and running. If I take it apart it would probably never work again. A1up sent me a new PCB, New dash/controll deck, new ribbon cable. Got it working. What a nightmare mine was. Pre-ordered straight from a1up
Wow, brother, I didn't know you had those many issues with the Outrun cabinet. That's insane. At least you were able to get all those parts from them.

@@JesterTester Yes, thanks. All games work great except Outrunners. It looks like the brakes are stuck on. Only that game. I think a recalibration might fix it. Problem is I've been sinking all of my time into guitars lately. 😁🎸
@DeputyVanHalen5150 Yes, I would try a recalibration also. Hopefully, that would do it. Speaking of guitars, I just bought myself a knock-off Les Paul. Leo Jaymz for $200. People told me it was pretty nice. It actually is pretty good for the money. It has nice Humbucker pickups. The look of it is really nice. I have spent so much though the years on the expensive ones that I just had to try one of these. I was impressed with it.
I also just bought a Spark amp. That little thing is pretty nice also.
@@JesterTester Is it a Chibson? Lol That's okay man, a friend of mine got an Aliexpress Greenie (Gibson) and it looks and plays great! I couldn't believe it! I got a real deal EVH Striped Series Red and Black, now I really want the EVH 5150 also. Lol I like the 1984 Kramer too, wouldn't mind having that. Maybe I have a problem. 🤔😁
@DeputyVanHalen5150 Haha, a Chibson..yes. the EVH is really nice. For me, I always felt it uncomfortable to play the Strat style body shape. I have played Les Paul's since I was a little kid. So the top horn always felt odd to me. I guess it's just what you get used to.

Great video Jesse. I am debating getting the new rumble motor based on your reaction during the video. The one on the Ridge Racer cab is just OK, and for 15 dollars I will gladly take the gamble to see if it helps. Have a great week my friend.
Hi Matt, between the bass shaker and the rumble motor, I can definitely feel a big difference in tactile response. But, remember, I went from having no movement in the cabinet to this. Being you already have been playing with a rumble motor in yours, it may not seem as much of an increase in rumble.I can't say for sure. Regarding the difference between the two different cabinets. If that makes any sense. Hope you are having a wonderful day.

Im still really liking this mod. My son even moreso since this is his favorite cabinet. What 4 year old doesnt like driving games?? I might look into this upgrade because how much cooler would it be to have rumble features. Nicely done buddy.

I remember so well when I was a little kid and went into the arcade. The first thing I gravitated to was driving games.
Well, I was too short to reach the other arcade games. Lol. This mod is a novelty for me because I don't have any of the other drivers that came with the rumble. So this is like a new cabinet for me. I think you would love it. Especially if you have the power amp and bass shaker inside also. The two together is really nice. Thanks so much for watching and supporting, brother.👊

I did a mod a while back. The wires in the Arcade1ups are so thin and fragile, i am always nervous they are going to break from the connectors trying to remove them. Awesome job on the install and review.
I do agree. They are thin and fragile. But if you just take your time and not grab the wires themselves and just pull on the end connectors. You will do fine. Thanks for watching.

Howdy! I grabbed this mod and don’t feel the rumble AT ALL. I hear it turn on when it’s supposed to rumble, but there is no tactile response through the console. Do you really feel the rumble well? I’d love some help here!
I'm sorry to hear you're not getting a great response. Maybe you know this already, but in case you don't. Have you tried increasing the power of the rumble. While in the game, press the Start plus the A button and keep pushing the shifter upwards to increase the rumble effect. Also, only certain games utilize the rumble motor.
If that doesn't work. You could try loosening up on the screws that hold down the motor. That will allow it to shake around a bit more. But you run the risk of it eventually shaking loose. Also, if your cabinet is on carpet. That will deaden the rumble feel a bit. It's better on a hard floor. If all else fails, maybe reach out to Buystuff. Maybe your motor is not spinning fast enough. I hope I have helped in some way.

This may be a dumb question. Does this add rumble to all the games or just some of them? Great tutorial. I love your channel.
Hi, there definitely are no dumb questions. The answer is no, unfortunately. Only certain games that were originally programmed to support rumble in the game work.

Hey guys! Does anybody now if the rumble works with the original A1UP games? Or do I need to swap everything with the buy stuff mod game pack?
Hello Carlos, Thanks so much for watching. Unfortunately, no. This particular rumble motor can only be powered by the encoder card, which supplies the appropriate encoder card voltage that is also controlled by their gaming box. The games included that feature the rumble have been optimized to work with the specific hardware and software buystuff arcades utilizes. Also, every game in the arcade box does not have the rumble feature. Only certain later console games have the rumble feature. I hope this answers your question.

You guys make modding these things look so simple. I have the Outrun and would love to install this. I am getting bored with the original installed games. I think I will try to do it. Whats the worst that could happen right? Lol. Thank you for the video.
Most of these kits and mods are actually very easy. You can definitely do it. Just take your time and stay positive, and you will be fine. If you ever need any help. Just reach out to me.

Very nice ! Random question. Do the outrun games save high scores ? It seems not it I am not that good. I know there are local high scores on the arcade game and in the non modded outrun cab.
Hi Peter, Unfortunately, no. Which is a bit of a bummer. When you exit the game or shut it down, it resets the scores. Yes, I loved that the stock saved your scores. This doesn't, unfortunately. But I am going to look into their mame settings and see if there is something able to change, but at this point, I don't think it can.
@@JesterTester I believe the MAME of some versions do save the high scores . It would be nice !

Hi Peter, I wanted to check back in with you. I was speaking with the folks at Buystuff. They will look into it. They feel they may change up emulators if need be to get it to save. Just wanted to keep you updated.
Its shaking the whole cabinet because A1ups are cheaply made
