I believed that girl when she said she doesn’t watch it in general, but then when she said she had never watched it even once in her life I assumed everything else was bullshit.
I've been nofap for over 4 years now, and it's had a major impact on my life. I was so hooked on pornography and self pleasure, and just assumed "that's the way it is". Once I saw that it was possible to break out of that life, it really shifted my perspective of a lot of things. People are so brainwashed to think pornography is "normal", there's nothing "normal" about it.
Whats up bro? Congrats on your streak. Very impressive really. Can you name some benefits you experienced on it. Lets say great benefits you saw after a month? 2 months? 3 months? 6 months ? a year? I'm 2 weeks in and intend to go as long as possible.
@@jamesprez7296 To clarify, I am married (have been for many years), and I don't really buy into the whole "ejaculation losing my power" stuff. That is to say that though I have completely given up "fapping", I am having sex with my wife. One benefit is that sex is just better. It feels more intimate and "special". I had been fapping pretty much every day I wasn't having sex (and sometimes even on days I was), but with the only opportunity for that release to be with my wife, it's something more exciting to look forward to. It also teaches me patience. In the past if my wife wasn't in the mood, I'd just take care of myself, and move on. It's teaching instant gratification, when we should all be learning to enjoy what we have. Perhaps that part also leads me into being more "romantic" to be able to sweep my wife off her feet. On another point porn became more of a time sink. It became harder and harder to find the "right thing" to help me get off, so I'd spend an hour sometimes trying to find something to do the trick, that's time that I have back. Also I found as the more "normal" things stopped working, I had to go into "weirder" porn to get me excited, which make me feel gross afterwards. All and all, it's better to just get rid of that part of my life, and enjoy what I have.
1. There's literally nothing abnormal about (normal) porn unless you're talking about the weird modern practices of like gaping and puking during blow jobs and stuff. 2. What does nofap even have to do with porn? If you're just anti-porn you should just start a distinct and separate movement for that.
all that no fap has gotten to your head. there is nothing wrong with pornography (and im talking the consensual ones). As long as its in moderation, as with all things.
3 month into nofap here, i think the idea of being able to control your desires, especially sexual desires, rather than them controlling you is what makes you very confident really. you feel like you are the one taking control and therefore any hardship you would face, you know you are the one leading and controlling it not the other way around. you have to try it to feel it. ps, even if we assume it’s placebo, as long as it works, then i’d take it.
@@laswap1 I get urges but it's not as intense as it was before. it would easily go away if i get busy with something. first two weeks was the hardest for urges. I think wet dreams gets the job done for you.
@@MrMohshehab Great job on 3 months bro. You said it made you more confident? Can you name couple of benefits you felt after a month? 2 months ? and 3 months?
i think the answer is obvious. if you are addicted to porn and often leave social interactions to watch it, or think about it at inappropriate times, have intrusive and objectifying thoughts about real people, or prefer it over real sexual contact .. basically if you feel it is doing anything negative to your life, then quitting is going to give you more energy and confidence, amongst other things.
@Mitthenstein It's a side effect of the sheer amount of dopamine people are releasing into their brains on a daily basis when they fap. It is literally identical to shooting up heroine, especially if done multiple times in a day. You develop a tolerance to the stimulating effect of the initial levels of dopamine and keep having to do it more and more to get the same high. As a consequence, people have to search up even more extreme forms of pornography and watch it for longer periods of the day, which can cause some severe changes in people's perspectives of themselves, their interests, and the people around them, not to mention the amount of time they're wasting not doing something else. For the same reason that someone that is doped up on weed is practically worthless at any type of labor, so is the person that is doped up on porn and masturbation.
@@strangepretty7991 porn and masturbation among other things, giving into animal instinct drains you of your life force and energy. Abstaining from it attracts peace and a centred balanced state of consciousness
i think the bizarre thing about porn is that nowadays there are teenagers who are porn addicts. I feel like 2-3 decades ago, a porn addict was usually a 40 year old lonely perv. but now its a whole generation of porn addicts, bizarre to think about.
i remember babysitting for my mom's friend years ago and this 3 or 4 year old grabbed my mom's iPad and started playing games on it. one of the most interesting and disturbing things i've ever seen. people gotta protect their kids from these devices instead of letting the devices parent their kids.
@@sergeant_salty Background: I am a software engineer & I specifically work in mobile development (iOS & Android), but have done web dev for a while before that. I plan to not let my kids access any form of social media (or anything else that will lead to instant dopamine hits on a mobile device) until they are in high school. I would be cool with introducing them to certain aspects of online culture & games w/o predatory design practices via a PC at our house, but them having smart phones & being able to just completely disconnect from the real world at-will by reaching into their pocket is not healthy for developing minds. I hope given my circumstances & through empathetic understanding instilled in them, that they understand when they get to middle school age where it'll likely be the most tough on them (when most of their friends' parents give no shits & let them all have unrestricted iPhones)
Thank you for making this video Andrew. Pornography has negatively impacted my life from a very young age without ever realizing it until recently. I think more people need to become aware of how these things work, and I appreciate you for spreading the word.
From my personal experience, I think it's better just to forget about counting days. It's inhuman to restrict our sexual nature. I learned to see it from another perspective; just do stuff. Just do your stuff, what are your passions? Your goals? Your ambitions? Focus on what's really important: Yourself. Make yourself so busy every single day and eventually you'll realize you haven't fapped for weeks or even months, and if someday you feel the need (and can't have sex) just do it maaan, you deserve it! Just don't do it with porn.
"Its inhuman to restrict our sexual nature." Yes and also no. Obviously going a life without any sex or self-pleasure could be argued as being unnatural (such as what monks do). But not releasing sexual tension (ie fapping) is a perfectly normal practice in eastern cultures, look up sexual transmutation, its basicly no fap but the more advanced version. Essentually it teaches you how to direct the energy stored from not fapping into possitive things and actions. Its very interesting.
I mean that's also what animals do. "Just follow your urges". Humans have a conscience for a reason, we get to choose between what is right or wrong. I mean if you felt like killing someone, which is obviously wrong, then you definitely shouldn't do it.
you're great at this stuff, Andrew. i really could see you becoming some type of documentarian or director someday. i think i remember you kinda wanting that to be one of your end goals from a video a long time ago. keep it up dude!
Advice for some of you guys struggling with NoFap, I actually recommend just doing no prn at first. For me personally, abstaining from all PMO was really difficult, especially with the lack of freedom of reshaping my life frameworks (creating better routines, putting triggers for PMO out of reach etc.). But taking prn out really helped - it helped me reach a more natural ability to understand, accept, and control my sexual desires too, to the point that I was able to abstain completely if I need(ed) to. Ofc I recommend not thinking about prn either when you have an urge, just try to get in sync with your body's feelings again, and honestly, it will fall into place. I also very strongly believe that people exposed to prn at a young age (so for me, stumbling across it on the internet at like age 9), it becomes so much harder to fight addiction later on, to the point that I used to not understand how people just 'causally consumed'
people misunderstand nofap since it became mainstream. It's not for everyone, although you can try. The movement was started mostly by people for the people whose addiction to masturbation (not porn) was so high that it started to affect their daily life and themselves as a human. Its benefits depends on the level of addiction, the more addicted you are the better results, if you don't have any problem you might not see any difference of being in nofap. and also it's not just porn, it can be of any form like social media, magazines etc.
Porn is any nude or expressive imagery you get from a second hand source which includes any media. Media being anything made public or somewhere where someone else can see. So book, pictures, posters, etc.
I've been in a long distance relationship for about a year (a few hours away, I'm in Europe not the US lol, I know our definitions of long distance vary immensely). I've had a porn problem, especially working from home. Nothing ever got done, I become more of a hermit, and just overall more depressed. Watching one NoFap video has brought loads more into my feed, and I must say watching these is helping me break this habit
Great video Andrew! In my experience, watching porn is like drinking salt water; the more you drink, the thirstier you get. The more you drink, the more poisoned you become. At the end of the day it feels good for a moment yet I feel more hollow, shameful, and alone after. It truly is a poison. Yet there is freedom and healing to be found on the other side! :)
Beautifully said! That is the nature of this addiction. In some ways it's worse than even substance abuse, because of the harm on the body mind and soul.
Whad do you mean by sexual energies? See I agree that not jerking off can help you become more disciplined and might also help you feel happier but involving terms like good energy, bad energy is impractical and can turn people off from changing their lives for good. I try to be disciplined but sometimes I end up watching porn but I never go too hard on myself. Don't watch porn because it's bad not because it gives you some sort of superpower 😂 like most people sell it!
From my experience, I feel there are so many benefits to no fap. I’m mainly talking about fapping with pornography but I know its more about retaining but I feel both go hand in hand. More productivity since you’re opening up more time, less sexualizing and objectifying women, more confidence and energy which will get you being more active. I think the biggest part is just that mentality of not over sexualizing everything or seeking it out. Whenever I went back, I would see the usual stuff I consumed and would think “damn. I like some aggressive and toxic stuff”. And in general when I was out at the store or just being social, I would be more happy and carefree. Maybe just a placebo effect but I did notice a lot of improvements in interactions. But it is extremely difficult to do if you are lonely, desperate, and just find yourself with too much time. I feel the purpose should be for an overhaul in lifestyle and not just for a November-less nut only to go back into that cycle. I “successfully “ did one month last year and it felt really good but I don’t think my intentions were in the right place since I was still exposing myself to pics, GIFS, and planning what I would watch when it was over. You should do one about pornography. Would be interesting to see how people view it. Been loving the interviews. Feels like a sort of fresh breathe of new air and what seems like a new era for the channel. Keep it up!
don't listen to the small brain, nothing wrong with long comments as long as its not meandering. I think you have a point about being lonely (and single) etc.. On the one hand, you have people who go out to bars or getting on tinder strictly looking for sex, which I feel is an aspiration for a lot of nofap ppl, but I see that as gross and a weird way to spend your time, dedicating hours of time to the pursuit of sex with someone and never talk to them again. Why not just spend a few min beating off and right back to what you were doing lmao. on the other hand, porn can definitely be addictive and a time sink, probably unhealthy mentally. I think this is where nofap comes in, it's the AA/"straight-edge" but for jerking off, something the "normal" person sees as weird or culty, but a spectrum in between will see its utility to varying degrees.
i feel there is a definite impact when you quit porn. But i think the people who find the biggest change, would be ones who had genuine addictions to the point where it affects their productivity and social relationships, to a rather severe extent. but to the average joe who maybe watches it here and there, there is still no harm in trying it for a month or so to see if you feel different
Yeah even if people have used it in moderation for a long time it's still worth the effort to give it up. It important to change habits and see how much discipline one has.
Your tricking in your brain into feeling it’s achieved sex with a real woman. Like any drug it’s a numbing process and stops you from going towards things you want in your life.
It also is a newer variable in relationships where porn is brighter more colorful, and more mainstream/accessible. It can and will tank a relationship if it isn't addressed early.
I'm at 2 years now of no fap.. must say it really changed my life in so many ways. I used to wake up late, smoke weed all day, and play video games for years and after around 40 days of semen retention, I started to see changes. now I am a business owner and thank god have a healthy schedule. a big change that I also see - I have a lot of self-respect in some deep way. Stay strong fighters ! it's a journey worth checking :)
On 6 weeks semen retention, although I did put porn on sometimes but didn't fap. This is my longest streak and it's tough at times. But I'm trying to keep going, along with other stuff, to improve my life. I felt most benefits at like 2 weeks or so, and now not so much. But maybe more benefits are just around the corner?
Dude you rock in how you dont ive up and keep trying to improve. Its clearyl visible that despite hard times you give your best and tbh thats really inspiring by itself. Hope you read this!
I’ve been trying to stay away from porn and masturbation but for only few days. When I don’t do it my anxiety goes away, I’m calmer and more positive but unfortunately that doesn’t last for too long. Recently I’ve tried transforming the sexual energy trough breath and I had some amazing moments. I was feeling an amazing sense of energy all around my body even beyond my body. A tingling sensation at what they call the seventh chakra even beyond that. Def nofap have spiritual positive factor in to it.
Its because you're going too cold turkey too soon. The key to success in my own experience is to separate the bodily action from the mind's thought incrementally over time, but you have to sail close to the wind if you want to see real progress. Instead of stopping completely, try to abstain for as long as you can as you usually do, but then if you find you just can't resist the urge to go onto a porn website any longer, you can then make a pact with yourself. Allow yourself to go onto the website and navigate your way around it temporarily, just to look at the images, or watch the video - but the deal you make with yourself is you DO NOT touch yourself at any point whilst doing so. This pact serves the purpose of severing the link between your thoughts (which arise after interaction with the stimulus) and your actions (I must play with myself as a consequence of these thoughts [and so it should happen automatically as night follows day]). After enough time is spent browsing the website aimlessly (you're just "taking in the sights" as a visitor not a participant), you'll end up naturally losing interest and exiting the page, just as if you'd been browsing youtube for too long and you'd had enough of looking at meme videos and listening to podcasts on the platform. Its the touching yourself element that primarily needs to be stopped, not the thoughts (because you can't really control when they appear or not), because shame ultimately comes from things that you DO not from the things that you THINK - our law system is set up on precisely this premise. If you make this pact enough times, over time, eventually porn websites become just another website to you and become a waste of your time. Good luck!
Its all bullshit. There are no chakras its made up mumbo jumbo. If it was real medicine would employ that knowledge already. Stop believing nonsense and look at things logically.
I'm on it now about six months, and it definitely benefited me in most ways to be honest. I felt so strong in every way. Most importantly I'm more closer to God, without God we're nothing remember it guys.
before it was called nofap I used to read books on taoist mediation and sports, I was really into boxing and heard ali, many pacman and so many other fighters would abstain from sex or mastterbation. i read a lot on it, this was back in 2009, and I still practice it today, I started what I was young in my early 20s and I could tell a huge difference back then too, but what took me 4 days of no sex or ejacuation to feel amazing, it takes a bit more days to feel that as im older.
It helps absolutely every male that needs any help in life, but not everyone needs help, hence why you see some not taking it seriously, and others praising it in your video. That's my point of view after being an activist for a while.
Absolute nonsense. It does nothing, unless you have a serious porn addiction. If masturbating prevents you from achieving your goals, you have something else going on in your life.
@@jamesprez7296 Big Energy, enjoyment for the comparatively simpler things in life, making you an energetic as f positive person that has naturally found a way to ease urges with women, since the act of talking to a girl becomes an ease without you practicing, just because your testosterone is driving you. Effects are mostly starting to be felt nearing the 3rd week, and gets better and better by a huge lot. "What drives a man in life is the desire for sex." -A quote I've seen somewhere that has opened my eyes.
I had to refrain for medical reasons for a prolonged period of time, and I can tell you that there are definitely both physical and mental benefits to refraining. Also FYI -- excessive masturbation can cause pelvic floor dysfunction
Straight up lmao. All women masturbate / watch pornography, but it’s taboo for them to admit it for some reason. But any girl I’ve been in a relationship with has always told me in private that of course they have in the past.
This kind of open communication is what we're needed as Human beings........If we can do a great communication with open mind 70% of the world problem would be solved. Thank you @LAHWF for done this great job! Hats off.
This is the stuff that doesnt go viral, but shows everybody in the clip being absolutely completely reasonable people. America, there is still hope left!😁
Hey Andrew, idk if you’ll see this but I’m a long time fan. I love the new vids! So simple yet interesting and creative. If I could offer a word of advice though, maybe strive for more moments like the couple that you had at the end of the video. Even just including those brief get-to-know-you moments really make these vids work for me. Thanks again man and keep it up!
The hoodie shop is not loading. I wanted that hoodie, you sold me on it, Ot4y? Also, don't let this channel die bro. It's so good, and you'll adapt and grow, and bring it back. I, ... WE have faith. Chatting With was dope, the jokes and pranks were sadly ruined by all the fakesters, but ebb and flow with the times. I have faith. The 2."something" million subs came here for the pranks, but each of these vids has a loyal following. That means, the legit "subscriber count" is probably around 50-100k, the true fans, so I definitely see this as a one-step back, but endless possibilities for steps forward. The true fans who like you for you ARE here. I know it's devastating to go from 250k in income per year to like 18k, lol, but such is life sometimes. It's like growing a YT channel from 50k - 500k all over again, but this time, it's not gonna be a WAAYYYY up and crash and burn type thing, like fidget spinners, but instead, an evergreen style thing that will keep going once it builds momentum. I like you man and I want to see your channel be great once again. It IS great, but even greater, you know? You got this. Don't take any more Amazon jobs, or bullshit jobs - keep up the hustle and grind alive, and it'll come back. Once it does, definitely invest in low-cost index funds :D In the meantime, sell us some merch to keep the lights on 😄
What's really weird is that people who don't watch or understand an idea or activity, porn/no fap, having such a strong stance on why it is or is not good.
Some people choose not to watch porn, for example, because they've seen what it does to people or know the negative effects of it in general. Don't need to have watched porn to decide that it's bad and choose not to watch it. It'd be like seeing someone inject coffee into their asshole and be like, "Oh hell no. That's fucked up!" and people going, "You don't even inject coffee into your asshole! What right do you have to judge when you don't even understand!" You already know it's something you don't agree with without needing to try it yourself, you know?
@@TheGoldenDunsparce I get what you're saying- I'm also not defending either/any activity or choice. Also to be fair- those example you gave are nuts lmao. But yeah there is some validity to the point you're making. I just, personally, think it's best to abstain from making comments on the activity and the "types of people" who engage in it, without having the knowledge of the thing itself. It's like people who do coffee enemas, some do it for health but most prolly do it for some weird fetish shit... but that doesnt and shouldnt account for my judegement of the activity- the enema in this case. It's just the types of people. again not the activty and then that would just be a generalization. I don't know why i'm typing this, but i hope your day is well lmao.
My conclusion on NoFap based on doing it myself and talking to friends, is that everybody should at least try it, but it's not going to work for everybody. I have tried it for extended periods of time and I no doubtedly experienced major benefits.
@JJ Graham the problem is porn is more powerful than cocaine and as bad as sugar so it’s hard to give that up. But yes, it’s better to strive to use your imagination instead of watching explicit content. Staying off provocative social media like Instagram helps too
It helps absolutely every male that needs any help in life, but not everyone needs help. Hence why you have two polarized opinions. That's my point of view after being an activist for a while.
Me too. My IQ went up. I ended up creating the cure to a very dangerous sickness and became a billionaire. I was still depressed, but my Johnson ended up growing because of nofap as well. Went from being 6” to 9”. Now I’m confident in getting any woman that I want knowing that I have something a lot don’t have. A ton of money and a big Johnson. At this point I’ve been meeting up with fat chicks on tinder to pound and been getting 2-3 a day. Life is good man!
I'll be the odd one out and say that I've known my porn addiction was out of control for idk almost 20 years (I'm 25). Today is my 8th day without both porn or masturbation and I'll say it's definitely not been easy, specially having a girlfriend that also indulges in porn quite a lot. I've been addicted to "the usual" drugs like tobacco or weed (quit both) but I've recently noticed that my worse and more life debilitating addictions were screen time in general (both gaming and just being on my pc) and porn. It's being quite enlightening to think about these things, shifting ideas around. If you're like me and never thought about these things and think it's too late because everyone that started is already months or years into it take me as an example or be the example yourself!
I don’t mean to be negative, but you might want to surround yourself with different people that encourage you and inspire you on your journey towards wellbeing. Our environment plays a big role on our thoughts and activities
nice to see you're back and try to be more active on youtube, I really enjoy your new youtube interview format - it's not to long and good to digest :) all the best!
It's definitely not placebo. Of course, with NoFap as an institution/community, there's going to be some weird/superstitious elements. But, that's what we get for making self-control into an "edgy" practice. At the same time, it comes as no surprise to me that more young guys have a "spiritual but not religious" and semi-perennialist beliefs which integrate NoFap. The thing is, NoFap shouldn't be on its own. It's one instance of the virtue called self-control. Self-control in general is good for the soul, and done for the sake of love/worship is spiritual and even better. From personal experience, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that self-control provides a generative, life-giving energy to your whole person.
Everyday is pretty balanced to me.. i fap once a day and watch prn too, just ones before sleep and im doing great, tried nofap for 2 months legit 0 chances all placebo
Nofap is a practice that will truly change your life. If you can learn to control your most primordial desires you become the master of your own mind. Semen retention is the foundation of discipline upon which a life of freedom can be built. If you're a young man interested in delving deeper into these concepts and learning to transcend your carnal desires in order to channel them into infinite creative energy, then come and stop by as we build a community of men striving for greatness. If these words resonated with you I would love for you to be a part of the evolution. 🧬
i think the confidence comes from being able to abstain from anything that you naturally desire. It’s not placebo but I don’t think the “preserving the energy” actually does anything
I mean, it makes you hornier. And I don't know if you can tell but when you are horny you tend to have lowered inhibitions. You can see how that can easily be interpreted as "preserving the energy" as having done something valuable if you are already shy.
I was thinking the same thing. Like if you are in a rut in life, just doing something hard like fasting, nofap, read a long hard book can boost you confidence. You prove to your self that you can resist temptation and do something difficult even if it doesn't serve some greater goal.
@Mitthenstein Do you know what happens when sperm hits the egg? Allow me to explain. The spermcell travels through the Uterus with the objective to fertilize the target. Thus conception occurs.
One more vice we should get past is a good way of putting it. Like any drug, if you're in control it can be fun, but it's terrifying how easy it is to lose that control and you never realize when exactly you're losing it.
y'know I'm not even that old (45) but I can remember a time when discussing personal sexual details in public was frowned upon. If you went up to strangers asking these questions in 1985 you'd either get slapped, beat up or arrested. Funny how quickly things change.
NoFap is extremely valid. Prn releases more dopamine than some extremely addictive drugs. The surge of dopamine forced your brain to down-regulate its dopamine receptors. At that point you are less sensitive to the things in life that release normal amounts of dopamine, like socializing, completing tasks etc.
It's always strange to me to see people who supposedly have no issues at all with "PMO" addiction. Baffling. And the fact that these people give off vibes that they never have any addictions and are totally mentally stable. That being said, none of the people interviewed seem like extremely creative types either. I think for those of us who are more intuitive, creative, not neurotypical, who see things very differently, addictions of all kinds also come with that territory. The more prone to fantasy, the more prone to pushing boundaries, seeing the world through unusual approaches, the more I think things like porn or any other addiction are an issue. It also goes hand in hand with intelligence and drive. If someone is perfectionistic, hard on themselves, suffers from anxiety as a result, that is going to have to be remedied by something. This is just my take on things.
Tried it twice, just to make sure. Went on Nofap for 4 or 5 Months, then i was like, i was curious and thought: What would happen if i fap now? Because i was so used to the feeling of nofap it seems like it didnt make a difference. I did it again, and i felt kinda.. not really good for days.. so i was like "Well yeah, it truly is better without". And now im clean again for 5 months.
@@Youngstownnobs If you're young, that's too many months to skip. You know you can still masturbate and not look at p0rn. You will get blue balled and frustrated if you don't get release for too long. I understand not doing it all the time, but it is perfectly fine to have release from time to time without overdoing it. You don't have to be an addict or pervert just because you orgasm sometimes.
You are "thee" main YTuber who i click thumbs up for, NO MATTER WHAT. I love you Andrew, never met you, but have a lot of love for you (many of us do, your fans really do care about you), just some random dude, who see you. Hope you're well, brother. (Just wanted to say this just cuz.)
I've tried on 3 different occasions to participate in nofap because the promised side effects are very enticing. I'm not saying it doesn't work for ANYone, but I haven't noticed any significant positive change any of the times ive tried. In fact, after about 2 weeks I become extremely obsessed and sort of basal, looking at every woman that is even remotely attractive to me as just a sexual being. It's detrimental to my mental health, my sleep, my focus and my mood. Once every 2 or 3 days is the sweet spot for me, and I will not be trying it again. I gave it an honest effort each time, and maybe my results are atypical but it's what happened, and what i felt.
think one of the reason some people feel better is they gather anough determinations to do it. hence they feel more confident and more fulfilled. with that being said, not fapping is not nessaray benefitial to you, but the movement itself does, as it enourages more people to decide to be a better person
Need to re-direct that time to something productive, you already go to the gym it seems so try building a side hobby or read books and tie up that information together.. have to substitute so that you can feel better, even then tho once every week is the sweet spot if you need to, the studies link this is the best for your body and testosterone levels as well
Seventeen days in and I was able to read two books in the past two days in one setting. It was a lot more enjoyable compared to gazing mindlessly into a glowing rectangle throughout the good majority of the day.
this video has a good timing for me lol im on my 5th day nofap and so far im mostly having withdrawals (sweating, jittery, urges). Tenseness is forcing me to work out to expel some of that energy. Its not even by choice, I need to do it or i feel like im going to explode. I suspect the benefits you do get after a while are a mix of real physiological changes (hormonal balances, neural rewiring, androgen receptors regeneration) and placebo, which can play off of each other to produce a very noticeable change in your wellbeing. Am excited to feel the changes and good luck to anyone else on this journey!
If there is a problem with NoFap, I think it's that people who are trying it should be told that their libidinal energy needs to be exerted elsewhere. It's not going to be healthy if you close off one energetic valve and keep all of your other activities the same. What people need is redirection -- not suppression.
It has nothing to do with objectifying or relationships. It's all about your get up and go and being in control of yourself. We are more than our base desires. The seduction of booze, junk food, tv weed etc.. it's all the same thing. It's just giving in to quick fix. If you are "retaining" it will make everything you need to get done in life so much easier. Your confidence goes up because you can count on yourself that when you say you'll do a thing, you actually do it. Kids in school are probably too young to see the damage of not doing what you need to do. Life is such a gift and you can make it anything you want, but not if you are giving in to all the shit that gets you no where. First guy know what's up. He's smashing skulls on the football field while everyone else is pullin pud.
Guide to quitting porn: 1. Understand that you're not actually giving up anything, just quitting. You literally gain nothing from consuming pornography. 2. In no circumstance actively search up pornographic content (especially not when you're bored or curious). Obviously its impossible to 100% avoid this content, because we live in a society. As long as you don't search for it., you should be good. 3. Understand that you are not weak or pathetic for thinking that you lack discipline. When it comes to this type of addiction, actively trying really hard and keeping it in your mind constantly will probably backfire.
On nofap rn. Super easy and satisfying being in control of my urges. Also drinking a shit ton of water. Overall just feel better about myself mentally and physically.
Nofap is great for boosting dopamine and energy levels. The mental effects of confidence and less anxiety are a result of not doing something you feel ashamed about. That is why some people feel more confident and others dont because not everyone has a shame based attachment to porn. There is an important aspect that I want to remind people about starting nofap. Be mindfull of not waiting to have your porn use under control to be happy and love yourself. The addiction is a symptom of escaping your negative emotions about you or your life. Accept yourself in the moment and move forward with compassion to create a life more in line with your true self. It is not a battle against yourself. That results only in suffering. Everything needs to happen with love if you want a reality without porn addiction :)
I definitely feel more productive and overall healthier when I choose to go periods of time without it. What seems to happen when I do consume it, is that sex with my lady happens less. I don't find that to be fair to her. Porn becomes more prevalent when you are not focused on your life goals, and true responsibilities. The problem is how easy it is to access, and being exposed at a young age. For me, it's been difficult to abstain when life is stressful. Having strong coping mechanisms for developing happiness through healthy ways, seems to be the best alternative. If you are a creative type personality it tends to be worse, because you are more fascinated by the different variants of porn itself. It is probably stronger than any drug I've ever consumed imo. Best of luck to those who want to lead a healthier and more productive life without it.
@Mitthenstein if you want no relationship then cool. I want long lasting relationships with meaning. You continue living your life in solitude friend. Money isn’t everything btw.
Thanks for this! I've been unporned for over eight years and unfapped for nearly five. Porn is total poison. Porn-free masturbation isn't necessarily poison, but neither is it necessary. I had to quit fapping long enough to end my porn use, and I ended up learned that life is better without it as well. That's why I eventually embraced lasting semen retention. I absolutely love it! I'm strongly encouraged that almost all men in this video have heard of it, and many have at least some experience with it.
I find it funny that the girls saying “I never watched it” are also sceptical of the benefits of abstinence from pron. Like how would you know? It doesn’t affect you (allegedly)

We have access to see more naked women than our ENTIRE ancestors combined
3 month into nofap here, i think the idea of being able to control your desires, especially sexual desires, rather than them controlling you is what makes you very confident really. you feel like you are the one taking control and therefore any hardship you would face, you know you are the one leading and controlling it not the other way around. you have to try it to feel it.
ps, even if we assume it’s placebo, as long as it works, then i’d take it.

Great job on 3 months bro. Does anyone have any recommendations for what they think are the best no fap groups that are free to join?
i think the answer is obvious. if you are addicted to porn and often leave social interactions to watch it, or think about it at inappropriate times, have intrusive and objectifying thoughts about real people, or prefer it over real sexual contact .. basically if you feel it is doing anything negative to your life, then quitting is going to give you more energy and confidence, amongst other things.
Well said, I’m not sure why it’s a little controversial. If it works for someone who cares, doesn’t hurt to try if you don’t feel fulfilled.
For the same reason that someone that is doped up on weed is practically worthless at any type of labor, so is the person that is doped up on porn and masturbation.

i think the bizarre thing about porn is that nowadays there are teenagers who are porn addicts.
Lol you would be wrong.
Teenagers definitely used porn a lot 2 decades ago on the internet or from DVDs
@@funtimes8296 and before that, every teenage kid in the 70’s and 80’s had a bunch of playboy / penthouse magazines hidden under their mattress!
The issue is internet porn is much more stimulating and therefore addicting than nudey mags

Elaborate? Specifically
@@ElectroBraap Just do your own research.

Me too. I started watchin porn at a really young age, and I regret it.

Love that you get so many different people each with different point of view 👌
people misunderstand nofap since it became mainstream.

Don't watch porn because it's bad not because it gives you some sort of superpower 😂 like most people sell it!
never stop doing these andrew , thank you
From my experience, I feel there are so many benefits to no fap.
Keep it up!

on the other hand, porn can definitely be addictive and a time sink, probably unhealthy mentally.

What right do you have to judge when you don't even understand!" It helps absolutely every male that needs any help in life, but not everyone needs help.
How long until you start to see benefits?
@@gunner799 The least of the benefits start 1-3 days
Yeah it's worth the effort to change habits. There's other healthier ways to get hits of dopamine. That's what humans are usually seeking.

One thing I can definitely say about this is the clarity it brings to your mind. I feel like females can’t manipulate me with emotions anymore
Andrew really looking good these days, glad for the man
Interestingly back in the day, Samurai used to call busting a nut 'energy suicide' and abstain from it frequently. I'd fail the Samurai test.
Absolutely has a positive effect abstaining from it. People who knock it have never tried it or never needed to.
When the Internet strikes us down, we find a way to get back at it. Stay strong kings
I tried it for a month, it was pretty good but now I just do it once every 1-2 weeks. I feel that’s a healthy balance for myself.
Everyday is pretty balanced to me.. i fap once a day and watch prn too, just ones before sleep and im doing great, tried nofap for 2 months legit 0 chances all placebo
Same here I do at least twice a week which is a healthy balance for me. Everyone is different

Keep this stuff up it's good. I reckon some controversial stuff without having a strong bias would be interesting/entertaining.

'theres a small level of enjoyment in the small things" how did Andrew not crack up at that
Thanks Andrew! That was really enlightening, especially that last interview. Super helpful.
i think the confidence comes from being able to abstain from anything that you naturally desire.
You don't think preserving Life Energy does anything?
@Mitthenstein Do you know what happens when sperm hits the egg? Allow me to explain. The spermcell travels through the Uterus with the objective to fertilize the target. Thus conception occurs.
@@ottomanpapyrus9365 your balls might be more full and you’ll have a lower dopamine baseline.
Never give up dude! You’re great
That fellas laugh at 2:46 is brilliant
One more vice we should get past is a good way of putting it. Like any drug, if you're in control it can be fun, but it's terrifying how easy it is to lose that control and you never realize when exactly you're losing it.
y'know I'm not even that old (45) but I can remember a time when discussing personal sexual details in public was frowned upon. If you went up to strangers asking these questions in 1985 you'd either get slapped, beat up or arrested. Funny how quickly things change.
"Have you ever smoked weed?" "No" "Do you think it's detrimental to society?" "Yes"
Gaming too apparently
Wouldn't socializing release the opposite of dopamine? That is why it is so difficult to engage in.
THE MAN THE MYTH THE LEGEND! MY FATHER!
amazing work Andrew
Tried it twice, just to make sure. Went on Nofap for 4 or 5 Months, then i was like, i was curious and thought: What would happen if i fap now? Because i was so used to the feeling of nofap it seems like it didnt make a difference. I did it again, and i felt kinda.. not really good for days.. so i was like "Well yeah, it truly is better without". And now im clean again for 5 months.
Months?? wtf
@@HansBjorgmanwhat's wrong? It's not that much
@@Youngstownnobs If you're young, that's too many months to skip.
Need to re-direct that time to something productive, you already go to the gym it seems so try building a side hobby or read books and tie up that information together.. have to substitute so that you can feel better, even then tho once every week is the sweet spot if you need to, the studies link this is the best for your body and testosterone levels as well
Great video Andrew, it’s an eye opener on the topic for sure. Thank you
I’ve been convinced guess I’ll try it
Seventeen days in and I was able to read two books in the past two days in one setting.
Then give me one example of redirection, considering one is single.

First guy was so honest and insightful
Guide to quitting porn:
Drinking too much water can deplete you from electrolytes , so I wouldn’t recommend doing that in my opinion
yer better to abstain from water for 3 days

Such an awesome video. Always love when you talk about NoFap
Wuuu, Andrew!! Glad to see you again
I have always looked at having less sex with a partner as doing them a favor.
I gotta say, this Andrew guy is alright.
