I think it's either from men lying or from girls all competing for the same top 20 percent dudes on tinder, so they get an inflated sense of what men are doing. When women ask me, I'll tell them to guess, and I've gotten answers in the 40s and 60s pretty often. One girl guessed 85 (wtf). I'm nowhere near that at all nor would I want to be. What's weird to me is the guys at the top often times act just as desperate in DMs as the other 80 percent, at least that's what I've observed from tinder experiments and talking to women.

If you look at the statistics, marriage rates are declining and divorce rates per marriages actually happening are on the increase. "People are still getting married and having kids"- definitely not at the rate they used to and certainly not as young as they used to.
People are becoming less inclined to 'settle down' in their 30s or 40s. This is not just my 'opinion', it is what current data tells you which is why I made my comment.
So couples might have kids but they are also more likely to end up separating, breaking up the traditional family unit as I mentioned.
I think these people are lying to themselves. I think they all know hookups make the hole in their heart worse.

I think there are a lot of factors that go into deciding whether hooking up is right or wrong. There are also signifacnt social nuances between men and women with regard to sex that complicate things.
One thing I'm absolutely sure of though, pop culture and social media's hypersexualized portrayal of society is a detriment to everyone.

Such a good channel. Not sure how I feel about hookup culture myself. I find sex quite strange and essentially just treat it as an activity like playing a video game or going for a nice walk. At the same time, I do think that treating yourself like a piece of meat to be passed around will inevitably make you feel like crap in the long run. Tricky one!

This is insane. Im a male and had one relationship for 6 years. Ended at 23 years old. I’m 29 now. Never had a one night stand. Pretty much no interest in it. I just want a wife. Am I missing out? How are you supposed to have sex with someone you don’t care about? I barely have the mental capacity for regular friends. I just want someone who cares about me and me only. I swear people with no value are the ones hooking up. I could just be judgemental though. I also have erectile dysfunction which prevents me from dating AT ALL. No but November here we go!
