Saw this coming a million miles away with his character’s rant at the end of the movie.
Why’d he take the trophy from Ke Huy Quan and not acknowledge him
He took a selfie with Ke Huy afterwards.
Yeah very disrespectful :(
@@88liliesmore like ke huy Quan asked to take a selfie of a group of 5 people that includes RDJ in the middle. Was there a selfie with only them too?
@@remyd8767Holy Shit. You people need to relax.
He was super hyper excited. Probably didn't realize it as disrespect.
It was rude to ignore Ke Huy Quan who handed him the Oscar.
I love RDJ and Ke, and I agree with u
How did he ignore him? He went up and said hi to everyone before going to the podium
@@metalliholic he didn't even look at him, he grabbed the Oscar, and look up as he was grabbing Oscar instead of looking at him in the eye and smile or say something, he just plainly ignore him.
Omg they have a selfie after that get over it butt out
I think he was just super excited 😅
Poor Key Huy Quan. He tried twice.
People are on here saying how much RDJ disrespected Ke Huy Quan but I don’t see that, besides he only shook a couple of hands, this MOMENT is about him, and let be as selfish as he wants for however he is talking.
Well deserved. RDJ's portrayal of Lewis Strauss in Oppenheimer is spectacular in a way you would never think of Iron man during watching.
I was like hour into movie and I was like wait that RDJ, guy was crushing it.
I love RDJ’s easy going acceptance speech. Light hearted and funny.
i feel like he's always carried that vibe
It's about damn time this legend won his well deserved Oscar. Proud of him
(5:05) “And the winner is…”
The way he grabbed the trophy from the presenter without any acknowledgement made him look really trashy.
No it didn’t
Nah he just doesn’t really know him. I mean Ke Huy Quan disappeared from Hollywood until everything everywhere all at once
@@imanoldurango8213You don't have to know a person personally to be a decent human.
@@nancyearambula exactly. also I think he's trash
@@nancyearambula THIS 💯
He’s a legend! He did an outstanding performance in Oppenheimer. He’s a role model; and for sure a good example that personal redemption does come along way. He deserves all the success possible! Congrats RDJ!
You really should leave in the dog that claps for Robert
Right!!
Lmao that threw me off
What was that even about? I didn't watch it.
@@zenmasterwannabeIt’s the dog from Anatomy of a Fall, one of the nominees for Best Picture.
So f'ing happy for the guy. Loved him since Less Than Zero, when I was in highschool.
Happy for RDJ but prefer CM's humility.
He passing the Asian actor who gave him the trophy🤯🤯
They posted a picture together and nothing happened.
Justin Hammer giving love to Tony is AWESOME!!!!!!
These guys, on stage and nominated this year, are all incredibly gifted.
Having Ke Huy Quan announce RDJ's win gives me life ❤
Yeah but then RDJ completely ignores him.
@@meropale I noticed that too. Compare the way RDJ accepts the Oscar compared to Cillian Murphy. Classless vs class. Period. Full stop.
My guess is Cillian Murphy noticed RDJ's behaviour and chose not to do the same! RDJ came off as way too cocky. A little humility would have served him well.
@@meropaleit’s his calling card, bro is best recognized for his Stark-esque energy. Y’all are reading to much into this, I’m sure he meant no harm
RDJ is so rude to his award presenter.
The 1st SNL cast member AND 1st Avenger to win an Oscar.
The Last film that won Best Picture, Director, Leading Actor AND Supporting Actor was “Ben-Hur” in 1960.
I always love how he thanks his wife Susan Everytime he gets an award in any capacity. She truly is his heart and soul and savior in many ways and I love seeing them together😊
“Amateurs seek the sun. Get eaten. Power stays in the shadows".
I can’t think of anyone more deserving. This man has persevered and fought his way to where he is now, just as Johnny depp and countless others have. Just look back the last several decades and you’ll bear witness to the proof that RDJ has a heart.
From his crappy childhood to Oscar stage he did well for himself and never gave up.
Thought we wouldn't notice, but we did.
From a troubled alcoholic and addict to a well-changed redeemed actor and role model who deserved his Oscar BIGTIME!
From less than zero to having an oscar! Wau to go RDJ!!!!
*So happy/proud of RDJ…You truly are the man!!!*
👏🏼💯
Kinda messed up how he just blew off key when accepting award
Noticed that too and he also missed the right side too. Not sure if it was the nerves or not
Sure Looks Like That, huh...can't help but wonder why ? 🤔
It looks way bad with Ke coz he did see the other two Kristoff and mahershala for a second and lift his hands like wow guys, he took the Oscar and he didn't even make eye contact with Ke lol, of course he shook hands with the oldest actor Tim and the one he worked with Sam, guess he's like I know these guys well. His Tony stark way of acting in real life made this look bad with Ke. If he really noticed he fucked up there he could talk to Ke afterwards since Ke seemed he did want RDJ to notice him, and tried a couple of times even when they walked back stage, RDJ was too busy with his pals 🤷♂️ . I loved RDJ and Ke, this made me a bit uncomfortable to watch 😂
@@vegitoblue4390 And just like that he created another villain
@@emmanuelasare2908 haha exactly 👀
An incredible man, and a true survivor who has earned his accolades through powerful life lessons, great friends, and most of all the incredible love and patience of Family standing behind him reminding him how talented he is and why his contributions to humanity and his craft have been so meaningful...Cheers also to the Producers for the idea to bring past winners out to the stage to so meaningfully honor each nominee instead of letting them be just a quickly referenced name on a teleprompter or note card. A Brilliant production idea and it should become a permanent addition to the introductions because its heartwarming, educational for the audience about the individuals honored, and very meaningful to the Artist to be recognized and saluted by their peers. Congrats RDJ on a well deserved win!!!
Why didn’t he shake hands with Quan Ke Huy?
Still in character if ya catch my drift
He probably got excited
If that were De Niro I think he would have done the same. Maybe worst.
I was wondering the same but you only have a small amount of time on stage and I think there is a big party afterwards he could thank him at
I'm sorry what's that name again?
He should’ve won for Chaplin instead of Pacino in scent of a woman
Agreed. In fact, Scent of a Woman ruined Pacino because he started yelling all his lines after that
I thought Denzel should have taken it that year.
The only problem with that is… it was Pacino’s only Oscar, Pacino would have never won… he is my favorite actor, it would hurt to know he never won an Oscar!
I thought Denzel should of definitely won that year.
@@sabrinaphillips916 You're out of order! You're whole comment is out of order!
That split last second dog/trumpet combo is the most RDJ way this clip could've ended.
He went through hell and came back...as Ironman and now Oscar winner 😊😊. That's my man
3:16 A man who hates the fame but his skill and talent cannot be kept in the dark from everyone to see it shine! 🎉❤
It’s so good to see Robert’s incredible force of acting finally being recognized by his peers and it’s something really special to also witness where he has come from to where he is now in life
Robert really deserved it
I’ve been a fan of RDJ since my teens. I remember reading a Vanity Fair interview with him as he described one of his periods in jail. A very dark time in his life. I’m so happy he made it and came out the other side. He’s a fabulous actor. So deserving. 🥰
I could tell back in the 80's he was made for the movies. It came to him so naturally. Even with his struggles in life he has had a prolific career.
He absolutely deserved it over all the other actors who got nominated in this category. He was that good and pretty much equal with Cillian Murphy.
Don’t love that he snubbed Short Stop.
Or Short Round
Ke’s a baseball player too?
Go Robert, I'm so happy for you. What a road you have traveled.
Did RDJ forget to thank Christopher Nolan or did i just miss it?
he said chris
He didn't thank him he only mention of Nolan was "Chris knew it"
@@MeauxGreenMusiche has been thanking him since day 1. From golden globes, to bafta to sag to critics choice, give the man a break😭
Robert completely ignoring Ke Huy Quan is so disrespectful. Barely acknowledged him. Not even an eye contact, just like, yeah hand me that trophy. I feel bad for Ke Huy, he didn't deserve such disrespect like that. Ke Huy even tried to touch his arm to be warm and just ignored the dude again.
The Tropic Thunder reference was just PERFECT. Makes RDJ's win so much more brilliant!!!
I knew that our man RDJ was going to win. he is one hell of an actor and one hell of a dude. He incredibly deserve it. And he will always be our Iron Man. ❤
