I think RDJ says it best when it comes to Nolan and how everyone sees him: He has an air of mistique and seems so imposing because we all see him as "one of the best movie directors in the world" and we forget that he's just a man doing what he loves, the best way he cans. This video helped me see what RDJ was able to experience by working with Nolan.
This makes me so unbelievably happy to see these two laughing and hanging out. What great cinematic minds!! The greatest Marvel hero and the greatest DC director
I’m very impressed with whom ever came up with the press events for Oppenheimer: peering Robert Downey Jr. with Christopher Nolan and Emily Blunt and Matt Damon with Cillian Murphy is a great way for the extraverts to support the introverts. Great team dynamic.
Never seen Nolan laugh during an interview. Got to say Robert Downey Jr is a friend you need who does all jokes and Nolan as a friend who laughs on them. I even love when Nolan imitates RDJ while throwing the board. 😅
Chris was amazing, when we were at school, he was always silent, never answered any question, we thought he is weired, but I thought, that this man will be genius in a specific field and today he becomes one of the best directors that been in our history. Helloya Chris.
I love the fact that these guys talk about their past film experiences so casually, usually actors are more hostile among saying stuff like these but these guys are referencing Avengers and Batman like their brothers discussing film and I love it
All the interviews with the whole cast of Oppenheimer have all been fantastic. They all seem to have loved making this film. Chris Nolan seems so down to earth, a smart man but seems like he could have a conversation with anyone. And RDJ is brilliant, funny and also seems down to earth. Can’t wait to see Oppenheimer at the movies tomorrow.
I love RDJ so much, especially in this interview. He carries this energy of a toddler being allowed to get a huge sundae and waiting in line, excited to order, receive and eat it
Loved how in this interview, when he knew Nolan was going to talk about the "inspiration" for Oppenheimer, he stopped fooling around, like, he is joking all the time, but knows when to get serious.
It’s nice to see RDJ having that relaxing effect on Christopher because he’s usually quite shy and quiet and you can see how more at ease he is with Robert sort of taking the pressure of him by being funny and taking most of the spotlight

These men did an amazing job delivering us one of the most impactful, thought provoking films of the summer. It was a genuine pleasure to watch this film and see the cast and crew create magic. I was genuinely glued to my seat and enjoyed every moment of Oppenheimer. Thank you!
And here we have, the two types of Charisma everyone loves to have around, the witty man that uses jokes to read the mood and compliment their friends and the down to earth humble man who just exudes gentleness and inner peace. It's amazing.
Throughout all my years being a movie fan, I never thought I'll see the two of them working together. Seeing them side by side is like a multiverse crossover. I hope Nolan will cast RDJ as his next leading man for his next film.
RDJ was surprisingly good in this film. Not that I’ve ever thought he was a bad actor, but it was such an against type role for him and he was legitimately fantastic.
4:31 "when Ironman came out, everyone said it would do until The Dark Knight came".. this just reminded me the moment when Heath Ledger won the Oscar while RDJ was also nominated in the same category. He just meant it 😅

This is perfect!!! Whoever put them together should get a triple salary raise. One is comedic/ playful but serious & Nolan is serious with a deep sense of humor
We need more Nolan-Downey collaborations. Great chemistry.
Iron Man 4😅😅😅?? Yes why not
Seriously they should collaborate again on a future project. You can tell they get on really well.
RDJ (lead role) + Chris Nolan’s direction✨
I never realize how much I miss RDJ until he comes to do press for a movie that’s actually very good
This makes me so unbelievably happy to see these two laughing and hanging out.

Watching RDJ make Christopher Nolan laugh more than I have ever seen him before has got to be the best thing I have ever seen. Top tier interview!
Never seen Nolan laugh during an interview. Got to say Robert Downey Jr is a friend you need who does all jokes and Nolan as a friend who laughs on them. I even love when Nolan imitates RDJ while throwing the board. 😅
Whoever put them together for this interview.. He deserves a big raise!
No. Where is cillian murphy?
Imagine if it was him and Cillian.....it would be dead boring 🤣🤣
Not just anyone... imagine him having a conversation with Ozzy Osborne
@@Telonious_Terp hass he lost his minddd
I love RDJ so much, especially in this interview. He carries this energy of a toddler being allowed to get a huge sundae and waiting in line, excited to order, receive and eat it
Loved how in this interview, when he knew Nolan was going to talk about the "inspiration" for Oppenheimer, he stopped fooling around, like, he is joking all the time, but knows when to get serious.
They're really humble. Thanks to them for making the cinema industry better.
Probably The most ive seen Christopher Nolan laugh . Whoever paired them together deserve a raise .
It’s nice to see RDJ having that relaxing effect on Christopher because he’s usually quite shy and quiet and you can see how more at ease he is with Robert sort of taking the pressure of him by being funny and taking most of the spotlight
Christopher Nolan is so happy here. It's the first time I have seen him smile and laugh for more than 5 minutes.
This is why RDJ is my OG favorite actor, he is so funny man, I love his personality 🤣
He is just the goat
It feels like Nolan is breaking character every time he laughs ❤
The way Nolan talk is exactly what'd you expect if he's in a Nolan movie 😂
Tony stark effect
He is not an actor.
I never realized just how witty RDJ is, had me giggling the whole time
Lol really 😂
Just like your mom. She also giggles when she is in bed with me.
He's not tho. He's got that type of humour that isn't funny and makes people force laugh but inside they're squirming.

Two extremely talented people answering extremely weird questions in an extremely funny way. The perfect video.
RDJ is just quick-witted, jubilant, and well-spoken during this exciting interview. And Christopher Nolan counters most stylishly like a true English gentleman. Amazing duo they are.
Man, i thought watching Emily & Matt in the interviews was peak comedy, then came these two. I've never seen Chris laugh so much. Robert is just so funny. 😂
tbh he is a geek bro

Never would I have ever expected Robert Downey Jr. and Christopher Nolan to have this good chemistry.
Their meta jokes were hilarious.
I think RDJ hopes that too
(though to be perfectly honest, I'd rather see RDJ cast in a Martin McDonagh movie opposite Sam Rockwell)
RDJ was surprisingly good in this film. Not that I’ve ever thought he was a bad actor, but it was such an against type role for him and he was legitimately fantastic.
Never seen Nolan chuckle so much and I love it!! We need to pair these two together again.
It's like He's Tony Stark all the Time. This Man was born to play *Iron Man.*
RDJ stunts in Oppenheimer were incredible. The walking down that lawn toward Einstein will always stick with me.
not true, heard he hired a stuntman for that one.

@Game_and_Anime_Master 😆
4:31 "when Ironman came out, everyone said it would do until The Dark Knight came".. this just reminded me the moment when Heath Ledger won the Oscar while RDJ was also nominated in the same category. He just meant it 😅
LOL this is EASILY the best Wired interview, never seen Nolan so happy and engaged, RDJ is a gem!
bro plays MCPE
I love the Oppenheimer press tour, it is so rare to see Christopher Nolan do these kind of interviews.
11:17 easy! Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist.
Exactly!
RDJ is better interviewer than any reporter who interview Nolan, he lights the room and make the interview fun.
These two are the perfect combo. You would think Nolan & RDJ have been working together for decades. I hope this chemistry means more future projects together. Possibly one with RDJ in the starring role and bring back Bale to play villain

I have not seen Nolan laugh so much in an interview. Its so mesmerizing
I'm very glad to see Robert Downey Jr. & Christopher Nolan in this dialogue. May be it's one of the most interesting interviews in recent months.💥
Thank you for this! 👍
Once in a while, Nolan arrives to save cinema again. Absolute madlad
There was like nothing good out before this too

That's a HUGE exaggeration. The last few years were all about biopics. Queen, Elton, Elvis. Now opprnheimet. It's just it's not about a singer but very much stayes in the "popular culture" agenda. And if you know history (not just pop culture) this movie is... flawed...

Just saw Oppenheimer last night finally. RDJ seems to have the supporting actor Oscar in the bag. He was incredible
