When it works and they’re actually nice it’s amazing. We met Katy Perry for my sick son and she was so sweet. Gave him tons of time and was listening in earnest. Was already a huge fan, after meeting her we’re die hards. Love Johnny Depp, Cena, them hugging kids on Chemo melted me. It means a lot to sick kids, it really does.
Sometimes it’s a publicity stunt. Certainly Tom Hiddleston wasnt genuine. When doing Cons he asks that there be an additional security measures (beyond the standard metal detectors at the Con entrance) in the form of metal detectors for just those who have paid for a photo op with him.
I once heard a story that a kid recognized Mark Hamill as he was heading into a grocery store. Mark realized the kids excitement and did a Jedi hand wave as the stores automatic doors opened and the kid went insane with laughter.
I remember meeting Mr. Worthy, who was the reason I wore #42 throughout my sports career. Was not disappointed at all, slightly at a loss for words but that soon passed. When the spotlight is brightest, perform.
When ever I see any footage which contains children in children's hospitals it makes me shed tears just about every time because to me it seems so unfair that some children have to go through the horrors of severe illnesses, a big hug and thumbs up to the people who can hold themselves together and help sick children.

The full story is even better. Someone called the police to complain about the kids playing in the street. The officers that showed up played pick up games with the kids instead of making them leave like the caller wanted. The officers then told the kids the next time they came by they'd bring back up. So they came back a couple weeks later telling the kids they indeed brought back up as Shaq stepped out.
I love Shaq, that man has so much respect for people, it's incredible. He sees people as they should be, not by race or wealth. Love to see down to earth celebs
@@Skiman94 That was during the original Black Panther, so I don't think he was ill then, or at least not as advanced as he was during the sequel filming etc. Either way, the man was an incredible actor and such a down to earth and great guy. RIP.
It still hurts so much!!! School mascots were changed to a black panther because of him. I know because the elementary school across from my house promptly did so following his first panther movie.
I LOVE LOVE when celebrities do special things like this. So many happy tears right now from watching this. It’s so heart warming and show that they really do care for others. They’re just like us but happen to be famous.
I ran into Keanu Reeves once. Just walking outside while visiting a friend in Cali. Just said, "Hey Keanu, love your films." He just kind of waved and said, "Hey, thanks." I didn't want to bother him any further so just kept walking - I'm sure he's been told that by random people thousands of times, lol. Anyway, seemed like a really nice person. My Mom ran into Tom Hanks up skiing in Colorado. She sneezed and someone said "Bless you!" and she looked over and said, "Thanks!" and it was Tom Hanks lol. She didn't say anything further.
These people have NOT let fame go to their heads. I sit here in tears at the level of their generosity and goodness. I am 61 years old and I have not shed these many tears in my life. They are proving that there is still some goodness in this crazy fucked-up world, and they are giving inspiration to me to be a better person. I love every single one of them for their good hearts.
Love these and the tears they bring. My son spent many months in hospital during his first few years of life. We didn't get visited by any celebrities, but watching these clips just gives me such hope that famous people can keep and share their humanity and humility.
I had the sacred honor of visiting the cancer unit of Texas Children's Hospital while shooting a promo for a benefit for them. I have never met such warriors in my life. Every celebrity that spends the time to visit, encourage, and cheer up a kid in need is purely heroic.
Ahh that's really good. Arnold was the funniest 😆 Good voice over man too, just talking at the right times & not taking over the clips like some of them do 👌
These are touching, sometimes funny, and very enjoyable. But there is one above all of them that made the ultimate sacrifice for everybody and that selfless act of love flows down to us all to inspire these acts.
I never get tired of seeing good deeds in the world. My kids, grandchildren and I always try to always pay it forward. I raised them to always do random good deeds. My daughter who is now 40 is known for paying for food for the car behind her at a drive through. Putting coins in the karma box never hurts anyone. Every one of these brought me to tears. ❤❤❤
Schwarzenegger pretending to be a wax statue and then suddenly moving, was definitely one of the best things ever. I'd probably be a little freaked out at first, but eventually have a good laugh about it afterwards.
