The distraction dance scene in Guardians 1 will always be a favorite. Improved on the spot by Chris, no one else knew it was coming and the ensuing reactions are genuine. This is why I love the MCU cast, they get along so well and have such good chemistry that when one of the comedians in the cast does something spontaneous, the reactions are gold and the scene still works
Give credit to all those actors playing reporters at Tony Stark’s press conference. That line wasn’t in the script but they all went for it and reacted perfectly.
"Unscripted" is fairly broad in how it's used. Sometimes it's a one-and-done spur of the moment that mostly works by somebody fucking something up, and/or co-stars giving genuinely surprised reactions. Other times it's more of a " it wasn't in the script but the actor felt like a small adjustment would fit the character better and asked the director to try it, so we tried it one take and liked it so much we did 10 more shots 'till we got it right". Fairly certain that is one of the latter cases. I think I also remember seeing an old interview with RDJ where he was talking about Stark being this arrogant prick with a huge ego that loves being the center of attention, so it just didn't fit the character to deny being Iron Man when admitting it aligns so much more with everything we know about the character, and thus asked permission to change it before shooting the scene.

I think that's honestly a lot of the magic with Marvel movies. They were completely serious films, with some minor comedy, but then the actors throwing in their extra bit of personality really added a charm that's difficult to get through a rigid script. I think part of the issue with more modern movies is they try to lean too hard into the comedy, and don't take themselves more seriously, so all we expect and get is comedy now.

Love, Love Yondu - please bring him back.
Why is Gomora was hilarious
the problem with the jackson pollack line is that starlord was taken from earth when he was 10 and he came from rural missouri, it is nearly impossible that he would actually know who jackson pollack even was
I'm gonna guess that since his mom was a hippy, she may have reaaaaaallly been into art, and therefore Pollack might have been on his radar. Maybe. It's a stretch, I know, but it makes it work for me.
8:30 makes sense, they wouldn't tell him the actual script.😂
Ragnorak is my favorite
Nobody's gonna speak about how Loki ehemm like saying 'I'm dead' when the old guy (idr his name) look at him after Thor said he's a friend from work..?😂😂😂😂😂 that's hilarious
felt a sleep 5 times before min 3 with that voice. thanks.
FELT A SLEEP
You have such a unique perspective.
"I'll do you one better, why is Gomorra?" 🤣🤣 Still classic
To be fair, when Guardians of the Galaxy was announced, I was happy. Then I saw how they steered away from the original comic and made it comic relief and that quickly faded.
That makes me wonder then instead of revealing himself. What was Stark actually supposed to say instead?
He was meant to deny that it was him and give the army and US government full credit.
@@StillStanding-k2h o. I need to rewatch some movies. 😅
@@StillStanding-k2h XD
What would the movies after that, have been like if he had?
great ad lib by all the reporters jumping up on the spot, or was that just a different shot, I guess
HES A FRIEND FROM WORK 😂😂😂😂 as if they work in cubicles next to each other
I love how after the scene with Tony calling out the S.H.I.E.L.D. employee for playing "Galalica," the Avengers left and the employee went back to playing the game 😂
Feige was NOT the director of Iron Man. That was Jon Favreau, and without his genius approach to the movie, there would be no MCU.
Credit where it's due, please.
Thor Ragnarok was the best Marvel movie ever made. Fight me🤡
Thor Ragnarok is a masterpiece
I think that's honestly a lot of the magic with Marvel movies. They were completely serious films, with some minor comedy, but then the actors throwing in their extra bit of personality really added a charm that's difficult to get through a rigid script.
I think part of the issue with more modern movies is they try to lean too hard into the comedy, and don't take themselves more seriously, so all we expect and get is comedy now.
