Keanu Reeves was in a village called in Branceilles in vacation close to where i live in France with barely 300 people, he spent Christmas there and made visit to his mother in law, no one knew he was there until somehow journalists found him and tracked him making photos of him and spreaded it in the local news paper, no one cared but he still had to move out because of the journalists when all he wanted was to enjoy peace and tranquility and a traditional Christmas in a small French village...
Except he didn't gracefully accepted because the chain restaurant did an "all you can drink milkshake Monday" in his honor, and put it in camera. I bet 100% they don't do that for everyone.
@craftyoldhaeg but still, the restaurant did something for HIM specifically. I bet if it was a random person, they wouldn't have even lifted a finger. That's my point.
@EM-vq6qonah the definitely wouldn’t have, but that doesn’t make him any less of a nice guy. the proceeds of that event went towards charity, not his pocket.
right.. Love him but IHOPS.. no way she should put him ahead in line just for who he is. I understand in one of those VIP rooms or something that I wouldn't get into in a 1000 years.
Agreed! Fail to see why any business 0:01 should feel like they have to donate to charity bc they wanted a celeb to wait their turn 🤷♀️ I don’t get it, they do a job & are very well paid for it, why does this mean they should be worshipped & given all kinds of special treatment? 🤦♀️ our world is nutso 🤪
The small worker lady really think she got the upper hand. They have the money to get and do what they want. I guess that lady had to wait a couple more years for another job
@JaredGenesisLostSmegmatorium That's called his job and going about like a regular person is different. Not many celebrities do that without being surrounded by bodyguards. OK, pal.
I think sometimes, ignoring a celebrity is from respect. I had dinner in Tahoe City, 3 tables from Robin Williams and his daughter. Everyone respectfully left them alone to enjoy their meal.
This. I used to serve a lot when I worked at Bondi Junction. I never said anything. I know they get harassed a lot, so I just wanted to not stress them out and feel normal. Some really seemingly nice celebrities are a holes btw. But Carlson from Queer Eye is sooo sweet, he was the sweetest.
Sometimes it's respect and others people just flat don't know who they are. In 2005, I was at Ft Worth, Texas for a rodeo finals. They had a meet and greet for all the event winners (at Billy Bob's Bar) with Willie Nelson and David Allen Coe. I won the barrel racing so I got to do the meet and greet. Obviously, I knew who Willie Nelson was but I didn't have a clue who David Allen Coe was. Everyone else was smitten with both of them but I assumed he was just some biker guy that was hanging around with Willie 😂
That’s awesome. I couldn’t imagine bothering someone who’s simply trying to have dinner with his family. It’s nice to hear he was treated like a human. Robin Williams was just an amazing dude that I would’ve loved to have had a conversation with in real life. One of the few celebrities that I genuinely miss.
I was a kid at a wrestling show and seen Chris Benoit walking up to use the payphone in a full crowd. We all knew who he was and nobody walked up to him including myself. We all understood it was a private moment and he wasn't "on stage." I always though it was normal behavior, just like high school where you know the popular kid, but nobody fawns over them or walks up to them just because you know who they are.
@roughhabit9085 That's true. I was born in '75, (so quite a bit younger than that lady), and the only rappers I know are Vanilla Ice and Will Smith (And Smith is the only one I would recognise and that's from movies, not his music)
@TheSunnydeniIs your profile picture a butt under construction? Also, yes, 100% agreed, and Keanu is the paragon of humbleness originating from within, the guy’s such an excellent role model.
There’s a place somewhere, my apologies, I don’t remember where! Could possibly look it up. Point is, every person, whether your Mandy Whittaker, Beyoncé, Chris Martin, Sir Elton John, Billie Eilish, you get my drift, everyone is treated the same! Everyone eats the same good food, everyone sleeps in the same hotels. The documentary was fabulous!! 😊
Because that's what most of these people, and sadly most of the general population want. To be see, liked, acknowledged, respected, loved... And most that get to "fame" also get their egos inflated. And when they're not recognized, they're ego gets destroyed and they feel like they failed... These situations actually ground them, for a short time...
Because when you have so many people treat them as they are kings/queens or God, they get a ego complex and think that the whole world loves them, then when people have zero clue who they are it hurts their fragile little egos. Obviously some like Keanu Reeves or Adam Sandler for example didn't let the fame get to them and can be grounded and humble at the end of the day despite their status in the world. One good example and a person I detest is Drake. That dude's ego could reach space it's so big. If he asked a woman to wash his feet and she says no, he would go into a fit of rage. It's that bad.
Yeah, that part reminded me of the old Key of Awesome song! It was a parody of FourFiveSeconds where even Rhianna didn't know who he was. It's still here on RUclips, worth a watch if anyone is interested, haha 🤣
@XHackManiacXi miss KoA, a few years ago I saw Mark doing anninterview and talking about restarting it but couldn't find it again, it was a podcast. I don't think anyone knows what part of fourfiveseconds he did stayed in the final song either 😅
The absolute narcissism of celebrity that expect EVERYONE to know who they are. Pretty disgusting. Even worse when they expect to be treated differently.
He had a rough life after the passing of his wife. He has every right to act the part but chooses not to, and instead being respectful and polite to others of "lower status".
I'll tell ya what, I do not watch newer movies or TV/Netflix shows, nor do I watch sports. 99.9% of "celebrities" these days would not get a second look from me and I couldn't care less.
I don't blame Reese for being upset and getting arrested over asking what was going on, and I don't blame Travis Scott for being annoyed at people crowding in around him. That's what they were really annoyed at, not the lack of recognition.
Meanwhile, the Kardashians make everyone wait in line at Disneyland because they wanted to ride the teacups before anyone else. Yeah forget about the kids. Nice! 😊
I agree. The fact he's even taking the subway is a show of humility and character for someone that could easily afford to go whereever he's going by private limo or even helicoptor.
A long time ago my mother once spotted him casually relaxing on the beach we used to go to during the holidays in Sardinia. She couldn't believe her eyes as we were not in a popular place at all, pretty sure he went unrecognized.
Absolutely! I’ve seen too many celebs that I can’t even name them all (was a bottle service girl for a popular south beach club back in the early 2000s and now a flight attendant for many years) and I NEVER approach celebrities even though I’ve seen them frequently especially years ago before most of them started flying on private jets Well with one exception, me and one of my closest friends kept being in the same vicinity of the rapper Flo Rida, the first time he sent a “worker” over to ask for her number to give to him (she rightly said “no”) then on another occasion (at a club)… finally we saw him again at Aventura Mall and I approached him and said “give me your number and I’ll give it to her”… they actually dated for about six months but she basically ghosted him🙃🙆🏽♀️😁😁😁
@Mojo.Jonesinthey probably mean in general there’s a lot of celebrities they don’t know that are famous for really nothing. But keep getting your feelings hurt by that…
I don’t blame ANYONE for not knowing who ANYONE ELSE is… celebrity or not. Everyone lives their life according to their own interests, and may not be familiar with plenty of “famous” people.
Or a rapper. A flashy rapper or stuck up actress. I went to lamb of God and Pantera concert they were awesome. I'd hang with them any day before those stuck up snobs .😂it means nothing we normal ppl don't care!!
Actually, everyone acts entitled (source: watch any Karen compilation😂) you don’t have to wait though; if I get to Chili’s and they have a 45 minute wait time, then I’m just gonna go somewhere else where I can get seated faster
0:55 "To make amends..." WTF! If they had seated Sandler ahead of the other people who were waiting IHOP would need to make "amends" to ALL THE PEOPLE WHO WERE WAITING!
I think she was being stereotypical and that's the only "old person" celebrity she knew of. Any person over 65 knows Sinatra no matter their background.
@bigby2324 . . . Wikipedia tells me Chris Pratt is is an American actor and film producer and that his films as a leading actor have grossed over $14.1 billion worldwide, making him one of the highest-grossing film stars of all time. I still don't know WHO he is and he doesn't know who I am either. So we're even.
@user-im2te2fg9y . . . Certainly not I. I Googled both Chris Pratt and Chris Evans and didn't recognize either of them. So they are actors. So what? I'm a lawyer . . . I don't just play one on TV . . . and I have staged, written, and produced many jury trials, doing a better job than Perry Mason, or Matlock (But admittedly not better than Gregory Peck playing Atticus Finch in 'To Kill a Mockingbird') and, I get real, life changing results for my clients, not just box office draw . . . would anyone be expected to recognize ME on the street? . . . I'm crushed!
I worked at a popular restaurant in Seattle. Lots of celebrities would visit. One time, a famous rookie baseball player came in and ordered a beer. I politely refused his request. He asked "Don't you know who I am?" I said "yes, and I know how old you are." He was 19 at the time 🤣🤣 His skipper, who was with him, gave me an autographed baseball and a very generous tip once he finished cracking up 😂😂
My mom waited on several big entertainers when she worked at this big fancy place it was a country club. She waited on Ronald Reagan when he was governor of California. She waited I Clint Eastwood, Jimmy Dean and even a countiss. She told my older sister who was pulled in to help because they were short a waitress, when my sister freaked out that there was royality, my mom told her " They put their underwear on just like you do " . I know it might not make sense but it did to her. All my mom cared about was it they would get a big tip because back then they got minimum wage and relied on tips. In fact her boss would send in my mom to get the payment for the bill because my mom usually got them double on tips. She made $1,000.00 one weekend working 7 weddings. This was back when tips didn't have to be declared. And if a person gave 5% tip that was good so 10% or more was fantastic.
i had a roommate that worked on the dinner train there. he meet celebrities all the time. he talked about how easy it is to tell the good from the bad. his paychecks covered the tax on his tips, thats how much he made in tips.
Jennifer Lopez used to sit on my desk when we worked on a TV show right before her career took off. I ran into her in public a few years later and she hugged me in front of my friends. They were speechless.
The only cringe thing is when ANY individual assumes that everyone else should recognize them or know who they are. Celebrity status can really warp the mind. Every person deserves to be treated with the same respect.
I once heard in an interview that because they are always surrounded by people who know them, who buy their records, etc. they always have that feeling that they're popular--even when they are past their fame.
True dat. Like with musicians, not everybody listens to every genre. I remember when I got a phone call survey about music for radio stations and I didn't know any of the songs because I only listened to Christian contemporary at the time.
When Celebrities Don't Get Recognized 2117pm 21.2.25 about as prissy as an alleged famous retail outlet - which is as censorious as they want to be when it suits it - gettin' all hot and bothered cos a certain person didn't know wtf that certain chain of retail outlet was... macca? i thought he was down to earth...
My mum once called me, excited to tell me that she met and received Ben Stiller’s autograph. She said she told him how much she was a fan and liked him in Meet The Parents. When she showed me, the signature read “Dear [my mum], thank you for your kind words, love from Adam Sandler” 😂
im so glad adam sandler didnt go “well im popular so get me a seat now” instead he just left because he didnt wanna wait 30 minutes, respectable option
Yeah, his body language when told he'd have to wait and his follow up to arrange a publicity event to have the restaurant "make amends for the mishap" says otherwise. AYFKM? 🙄
His body language? He simply did like I've done with my family when we have to decide if it's worth the wait or not. And we decide nevermind let's eat somewhere else. Then after he had no issues but others who found out made a big deal so they decided to make a charity event out of the situation. It was a good thing to do as IHOP was stupidly getting crappy from the public for it but Adam Sandler had zero issues with IHOP@YuToob7
@YuToob7 Pretty sure that event was arranged by the restaurant due to their blunder. Would kind of make Sandler look bad if he said no to a fundraiser event.
@ I personally don't see any fault on their part for not recognising him, but the fact they went out of their way to organise a fundraising event to "make up" for their "blunder" speaks for itself. I don't see it as a blunder either, but that's what I'm calling it.
Hahaha same for me!! I am still laughing, 2minutes later, thinking about it....his voice, the way he said it!! LOOOLL you could tell he did it on purpose, probably didnt like how he was bragging loll 👌
Regarding Keanu specifically, there’s many things known about him that he doesn’t publicize at all or do for attention…he just does them to be kind and a good human being. He is an all-around fantastic person and doesn’t seek attention like many celebrities.
I was wondering this too. I've heard the name before, and thought it was a new pop group. Frank Sinatra, in the other hand.... before my time, but it's pretty difficult to not know who he was, and how he could croon.
What's awkward is thinking that accepting a hug would suddenly be OK just because someone is famous, or that you would be able to interrupt an arrest just because you know people.
I think he was just doing a parody of the Seinfeld show where Kramer wanted all the tenants in the building to have their photos on the lobby wall and greet each other with hugs and kisses, and Jerry refused after awhile.
Either way jerry is still an asshole in real life, not necessarily here cuz I know he’s a germaphobe, but just in general he’s an asshole in real life lol
I can understand when celebrities might be a little surprised that people don't recognize them, but they should never feel entitled. Just because they're famous, does not make them any better than anyone else. Love Jen Lawrence just hamming it up more and more.
he said to the officer "I'm Offset, Migos." I would have heard that as first name-last name and said "ok Mr. Migos, do you have proof of insurance with you"
This is the difference between a genuine person and a narcissist. Then they are denied the sensation of feeling special then the melt down, sometimes explode.
I agree about Adam Sandler. I met him in a used CD/Record Store in Los Angeles. I didnt want to bother him with an Autograph or anything as he was thumbing through some vinyl, so I just said hi and talked about New England (I was living there for a little while) and we talked about that and told him about myself , shook his hand and left him alone. My Friends were like YOU DIDNT GET AN AUTOGRAPH?! - I was like naaaa. hes a regular person like the rest of us and just needs some time to do normal things. Im really happy about our interaction.
@LadyDawnRaiI had coffee with a famous actor after my friend told me that he was staying at the hotel where she worked. She connected me to his room and we talked for 45 (?) minutes. I asked him to meet me at Union station in Chicago and we could go for coffee. Of course he was naturally hesitant. but I told him that once he sees me he'll know he has nothing to be afraid of. Most people look at me like I was a sweet little angel 🙄 He did show up and we walked together all the way to my mom's work . It was FRICKEN AWESOME!
I did the same with Nancy Kerrigan. She was leaving Stop and Shop with her daughter in Stoneham, Massachusetts. They were talking and I didn't want to interrupt.
If peoples were less stupid with celebrities we might see them more often in real life. Like taking subway etc... I admit it must be quite annoying for them being afraid to be annoyed or scream at. I've seen a celebrity one day and just did nothing but already inthe second some peoples were screaming oh it's this guy". The positive point is we live in a world with so much celebrities now that we can't know them all.
Most people don't go about their daily lives thinking about famous people. Most people have real genuine things to think about, like paying their bills, not getting mugged on the street or subway, wondering if they'll lose their job, etc., etc., etc. Most celebrities live in a bubble where they don't have to worry about a lot of things we normal people have to worry about.
@violeteyes5255 Hey at least i can watch a celebrity video on RUclips without posting unironic comments about how "most people go through their daily life without thinking about celebrities"... At least my life doesn't revolve around Hypocrisy! LMFAO!!!
Love it when celebrities show humility and remember they are humans like everyone else. Hate it when celebrities are entitled and feel the need to play their celebrity card, and get angry if people don't know them
1:00 that happens to me every time I go to Olive Garden...I walk in, waitress tells me it's gonna be 30-45 minute wait for a table so I walk out. Where's my all you can eat breadsticks fundraiser to make amends, I'm Hildahl for Christ sakes!
...are you elderly? Hawk didnt invent skaters. You dont need to be knighted by Hawk, to pick up a skateboard, many of which are sold without anything to do with him, he doesnt own a line of popular skateboard brands. Kids buy boards at Zumiez. Hawk doesnt have shyyt to do with it. He can eff off. black youth sk8s, latin youth sk8s, asian youth sk8s, females sk8. we have our own relevant sk8ing heros, and don't need to honor or even know some shirveled up dude to be "allowed" to skate!!!!
0:45 Make amends? For what exactly? Did he have a medical emergency wherein he needed to eat a pancake in 29 minutes or less to survive? Are they gonna "make amends" when they tell me I have to to wait just like he did?
I don't think you understand, these are not regular people such as yourself. Making a celebrity wait like that can get you cancelled. They did the right thing and made amends. Case closed.
I kinda wanna hear the others side pov. "I will buy your whole entire dept. Better yet, I will shut all of u down." 🥴 Do rich folks say ish like that or nah. I would hate to be the rich and or famous person that gets made an example of. Even tho it's prob less common. No, youuuu go sit down! Like w/ the rest of us. You're getting put on blast too! But like to the max. Since ...everyone indeed (kind of, kind of not) does already "knows " who u r.. Now they're really really gonna know. Liikkkee, Diddy for ex. He's yucky. How twisted did he grow up, to grow up to his mom "freak offs" too? Idk, I heard it from the net
It’s funny how celebrities act like they don’t want to be bothered when they are out in public, and then they get annoyed when no one recognizes them. I’m too busy living my own life without having to make direct eye contact with every single person that I come into contact with to determine whether or not they are famous, and I wouldn’t give two shits if they are.
@Theodore81547she even said before then she was allowed to go over and ask what was going on and she didn't fight him at all on it but warned that it would become public
Well only the top 0.001% of people are known by everyone. Like everyone knows Shaq but wouldn't recognize any other basketball players. Or how singers expect people to recognize them when unless your a fan of there stuff (and even then) the only times you see them is on the cover art for songs on Spotify which are usually over-edited.
I have always paid attention to the body language of the person and, only approach them if it seems right. Especially if they are with the family. 🤷♂️
@josetteandresRight? His humility is awesome. He dresses like an average middle aged dad. He’s not trying to stand out to intentionally be the main character in a room/crown, and I love that.
Thank for telling the full story for the Adam Sandler incident instead of keeping it out for shock value. It truly is a wholesome thing. I also love how Jay was so happy to talk to somone who didn't know him, he was like " A genuine conversation amongst so many shady people"
So you saw this on you tube and it must be the true story. Lol that's the problem now a days all y'all get all your education from social media, no wonder the world is in shambles. Wtf is wrong with you
Jay is phony… someone was his team filmed that and posted it Check out the video of him and Beyonce at the Louve (sp) in Paris… one of the photographers was like “who are you??”😄 Jay response was less than gracious🙃
How celebrities react to not being recognized shows what character they really are
Man shut up we’re all human
that's a crazy way to word that, I like it 🙂
Nice phrasing. 💯💯💯
The way Jennifer Lawrence reacted all the way up until the end with that lady is how I would be. love it.
Sandler example was not a "mishap" He gracefully accepted the same choice others made, wait or leave.
Except he didn't gracefully accepted because the chain restaurant did an "all you can drink milkshake Monday" in his honor, and put it in camera. I bet 100% they don't do that for everyone.
@EM-vq6qoYeah but that doesn’t mean he complained. Maybe someone else figured it out.
Offset is a clown. Tryna look like some other star. Lol how OFF-PUTTING. lol
Waiting your turn is NOT a mishap! It’s called being a member of society!
right.. Love him but IHOPS.. no way she should put him ahead in line just for who he is. I understand in one of those VIP rooms or something that I wouldn't get into in a 1000 years.
@GlennTheSadMarinersFan I have to agree. Lol what kind of royal treatment was he actually expecting to get at IHOP? With all due respect.
@Billbob0327he should go to Waffle House...... They know how to treat people there .
In Adam’s defense, at least he didn’t cause a scene, he just left quietly.
"Do you know how I am?"
Nope, and I don't care.
*Who?
@nadogrl I think he knows what he said...
better yet - yes. can I do something for you?
exactly!
To me every black man looks the same.
Just because they’re famous, doesn’t mean they should get special treatment over the rest of us
Good point, captain obvious
special treatment? its just fans being excited seeing them
They have lots of money, it's literally all they have over us. They shit, piss, fart and get sick sometimes just like any other normal human.
The small worker lady really think she got the upper hand. They have the money to get and do what they want. I guess that lady had to wait a couple more years for another job
Coping hard, bruhhh...... LMFAO!!!
Keanu is wonderful, he doesn’t WANT big attention. He’s real.
and humble. He knew he was being recorded and didn’t even acknowledge it.
He knows we’re all stuck in the Matrix and that the humanly pleasures are only illusions.
He doesn't want attention, thats why he does countless movies and a game. Ok pal.
@JaredGenesisLostSmegmatorium That's called his job and going about like a regular person is different. Not many celebrities do that without being surrounded by bodyguards. OK, pal.
Keanu is his stage name. He's John Wick.
I think sometimes, ignoring a celebrity is from respect. I had dinner in Tahoe City, 3 tables from Robin Williams and his daughter. Everyone respectfully left them alone to enjoy their meal.

At least Robin Williams was a good person compared to most of those fake ppl
Anyone who uses the question "do you know who I am?" is someone I immediately dislike, even if I liked them prior to that.
Do you know who I am?
A complete nobody!!!
😀
@subraxas you're not a nobody. YOU'RE RONNIE PICKERING
agreed.. at that point i ask, do you know who you were?
I like when they do that. Flexing that celebrity card.
Same
That grandma striking a wholesome convo is heartwarming
@Arctic_Adjuster . . . No, they don't. But obviously YOU do. Get a life.
Let’s face it , if you’re from the 20th century you’re not going to have any clue about any rapper.
@roughhabit9085 That's true. I was born in '75, (so quite a bit younger than that lady), and the only rappers I know are Vanilla Ice and Will Smith (And Smith is the only one I would recognise and that's from movies, not his music)
She is also famous.
@SJHFoto you don't recognize Eminem?
I love it when celebrities get humbled!!
It's even better when the humbleness is already there
@TheSunnydeniIs your profile picture a butt under construction? Also, yes, 100% agreed, and Keanu is the paragon of humbleness originating from within, the guy’s such an excellent role model.
Why
I just watched a video of Ice T getting humbled by a cop in a traffic stop lol.
Why do you love it when celebrities get humbled?
They know who Keanu is in that subway, I guarantee it. He’s a regular, they’re protective of him and therefore respect his personal space.
They shouldn't have special treatment
That's what I was just thinking too.
Just that some celebrities thinks that they are better then "normal" people. But yea you are absolutely correct.
But I'm sure you think Trump deserves special treatment. Grow up Snowflake
Absolutely.
Why do celebs think that people should know them? Or think they should get special treatment. I respect Kenau Reeves and his humble behavior.
Because the majority of the public treat them as if they are special. Some of them are, the majority not so much.
Because they are Actors or a Singer 🤷. Are you a celebrity
Because of the fan treat them like God. To me they all narcissism
Paul McCartney said, “we need another hit!.” 😂😂😂
Yeah, that part reminded me of the old Key of Awesome song!
It was a parody of FourFiveSeconds where even Rhianna didn't know who he was.
It's still here on RUclips, worth a watch if anyone is interested, haha 🤣
Classy response, Sir Paul.
"Don't you know who I am???" I don't give a SHIT who you are!! You broke the law and now you're going to pay the consequences.
@Somerepairguy . . . Well, I'm on equal footing with any celebrity I don't recognize...They don't recognize me either. Go figure.
J Lo is going to wish she wasn’t recognized when the Diddy trials start 😮
She will definitely be recognized in prison.
I'm hiding J Lo in my basement 😂
@JeffJesiolowski which part?
@rosseckstein4183 I'm curious what info Kelly Rowland and/or Michelle Williams (the other 2 members of Destiny's Child) might know... 🤔
Being at a party isn’t a crime. You don’t know anything.
Keanu Reeves sets an example for humanity on behaviour and compassion. Hes an excellent example that other celebs should take note of.
He had a rough life after the passing of his wife. He has every right to act the part but chooses not to, and instead being respectful and polite to others of "lower status".
@ThatStrangeUnknown I mean it still doesn't give him a right just because of bad things that happen to him, but he's definitely a respectable man.
He looked like a stiff NPC that had been told by his manager to sit on the subway for one stop so people take videos.
He is an excellent example to ALL people.
He's a normal, good person
Offset lol. People need to stop worshipping these false idols.
They ain’t doin shit for us haha 😅
I am proud to say I don't know who tf that is. 😁
To be fair, nobody worships offset 😂
I didn't know who it was, hell I still don't and don't care to find out. I don't listen to garbage. He may be famous, but not in my circles lol
these C rappers dress like the homeless beings on our street corners. with sandals and all..
The parents recognizing their kids idols, not knowing who they are, but making the effort to get a video is proof of great parents.
any celebrity being annoyed for not being recognized, does not deserve to be famous.
Keanu Reeves is a treasure and a really humble guy. I hope he never gets recognized so he can live his life in peace when in public.
Grounded and a humble human being. Wish most people could be more like him
Meanwhile, the Kardashians make everyone wait in line at Disneyland because they wanted to ride the teacups before anyone else. Yeah forget about the kids. Nice! 😊
I agree. The fact he's even taking the subway is a show of humility and character for someone that could easily afford to go whereever he's going by private limo or even helicoptor.
Tired seeing him every day in some youtube reel ..
A long time ago my mother once spotted him casually relaxing on the beach we used to go to during the holidays in Sardinia. She couldn't believe her eyes as we were not in a popular place at all, pretty sure he went unrecognized.
“You know who I am?!”
DGAF 😂😂😂😂
I would love that. I'd respond... uhh... Milton Berle?... no no Soupy Sales? and on until they lost it.
DILLIGAF hahaha
JOHNNY PICKERING!
How cool are you?
I personally think it’s weird to go up to a person you’ve never met before and ask them for a hug.
I can't believe she was offended by it too.
Still don’t know who she is.
Absolutely! I’ve seen too many celebs that I can’t even name them all (was a bottle service girl for a popular south beach club back in the early 2000s and now a flight attendant for many years) and I NEVER approach celebrities even though I’ve seen them frequently especially years ago before most of them started flying on private jets
Well with one exception, me and one of my closest friends kept being in the same vicinity of the rapper Flo Rida, the first time he sent a “worker” over to ask for her number to give to him (she rightly said “no”) then on another occasion (at a club)… finally we saw him again at Aventura Mall and I approached him and said “give me your number and I’ll give it to her”… they actually dated for about six months but she basically ghosted him🙃🙆🏽♀️😁😁😁
Especially when you look like Kesha. The woman looks like she hasn’t showered in a week, why would anyone wanna hug that?
@amberlindsey7112 She said it was the saddest moment of her life. What a charmed life she’s led.
I don’t blame the elders not knowing who the young celebrities are; the older I get I don’t always know myself. 😅
Ya, I don’t know who lots of new “celebrities” are these days.
@Blathering_Blatherskike what "nobodies" were in the video?
@Mojo.Jonesinthey probably mean in general there’s a lot of celebrities they don’t know that are famous for really nothing. But keep getting your feelings hurt by that…
I don’t blame ANYONE for not knowing who ANYONE ELSE is… celebrity or not. Everyone lives their life according to their own interests, and may not be familiar with plenty of “famous” people.
With rappers popping daily like poop is impossible to know, even if assuming you like to listen to people mumbling as music
Migos.. "Who's that?" Exactly 😂
🤣🤣
Fr tryna tell some rando cop what your stage name is just sounds foolish. It’s like “I’m Flippa Da Dippa, you don’t know who I is?” 🤦
The best rappers.
@iamtheonlyone9925 *vomits*
For real. I’d immediately suspect drug activity once I heard that shit
Everyone waits. Being an actor doesn't mean SQUAT.
Fuckin Facts!
Or a rapper. A flashy rapper or stuck up actress. I went to lamb of God and Pantera concert they were awesome. I'd hang with them any day before those stuck up snobs .😂it means nothing we normal ppl don't care!!
True, I feel like they just felt bad and too get more media they obviously did the event
All forgettable
Actually, everyone acts entitled (source: watch any Karen compilation😂) you don’t have to wait though; if I get to Chili’s and they have a 45 minute wait time, then I’m just gonna go somewhere else where I can get seated faster
Mike Shinoda has a great story of how his own daughter doesn't even know that he is a rockstar.
Reese Witherspoon acted exactly how I expected.
😂😂😂😂that’s awesome 😎
She was Hilarious!😁😁😁👏👏👏👏
She acted like she was still in legally blonde
Reese Arrested.
"Witherspoon?"
No. With a knife.
Awesome shit right here!
0:55 "To make amends..." WTF! If they had seated Sandler ahead of the other people who were waiting IHOP would need to make "amends" to ALL THE PEOPLE WHO WERE WAITING!
I mean at least it went to a charity but yeah that is absolutely crazy! Now if they was rude to him and cussed him out or whatever then maybe
Blame IHOP
@drakebeasley5725 True
Ikr …wtf
Im glad i wasn’t the only one who felt the same way 😅.
15:25 For real though she can't hold a flame to Sinatra...lol
Sinatra very few have ever reached that level of fame very few
I think she was being stereotypical and that's the only "old person" celebrity she knew of. Any person over 65 knows Sinatra no matter their background.
The guy calling Chris Pratt as Chris Evans got me rolling
@bigby2324 . . . Wikipedia tells me Chris Pratt is is an American actor and film producer and that his films as a leading actor have grossed over $14.1 billion worldwide, making him one of the highest-grossing film stars of all time. I still don't know WHO he is and he doesn't know who I am either. So we're even.
why would anyone know who chris pratt is, even in 2025 hes a b grade actor.... generic netflix type totally unforgettable with 0 aura
@user-im2te2fg9y because most people watch marvel movies so would recognize cap
Officer saying "who's that?" after Offset Whatever said his name is chef's kiss 👌
Keanu is the best
He and Adam. Adams known to play bball with regular people at hotels he stays at a d never use his celebrity power to jump lines. Two of my favs
The one
The legend. Same with Jim Carrey and Hugh Jackman
Why do you worship someone who doesn’t even know you exist?
I like how the narrator said he gave a seat to an older woman. I think that woman was at least 10 years younger.
Reese Witherspoon being a Karen was a total non-surprise. 😂😂😂😂
Yeeeah, but it was also funny AF 🤣☠️
She even sounded like that annoying b¡tch from the Election movie xD
How was she being a Karen? Are you a retard or a bot?
dunno, think she was just defending her husband.
I was actually a little surprised.
I worked at a popular restaurant in Seattle. Lots of celebrities would visit. One time, a famous rookie baseball player came in and ordered a beer. I politely refused his request. He asked "Don't you know who I am?" I said "yes, and I know how old you are." He was 19 at the time 🤣🤣 His skipper, who was with him, gave me an autographed baseball and a very generous tip once he finished cracking up 😂😂
Man that’s hilarious 😂
@ladalekoehler2176 By Jimmy Dean you mean James Dean? Royalty? Do you mean Queen Elizabeth or what?
This reminds me of when I called out Jordan Spieth for drinking underage while out in Dallas… ppl were shocked but sorry I don’t idolize famous ppl
i had a roommate that worked on the dinner train there. he meet celebrities all the time. he talked about how easy it is to tell the good from the bad. his paychecks covered the tax on his tips, thats how much he made in tips.
Jennifer Lopez used to sit on my desk when we worked on a TV show right before her career took off. I ran into her in public a few years later and she hugged me in front of my friends. They were speechless.
so much aura
You obviously don't know the JLO today
Ive heard opposite story’s about jlo
@josh021588I’ve not heard a nice thing about her in the press in 30 years.
The dua lipa part is just gross. Get over yourself
Right,it's not like they poop ice cream or something
Paul McCartneys response was EPIC - “how VIP do you have to be, I guess we have to make another hit.”
His response was awesome! That's why Sir Paul is the Goat!
@x-filesfan2257 Comments on ‘When Celebrities Don't Get Recognized’ 2145pm 23.2.25 macca?
I met him once, in the Regents park(London), we talked a little, got autograph for my father. He is a top man!
My mum once called me, excited to tell me that she met and received Ben Stiller’s autograph. She said she told him how much she was a fan and liked him in Meet The Parents.
When she showed me, the signature read “Dear [my mum], thank you for your kind words, love from Adam Sandler” 😂
😂😂
Well, they're both Jewish so she was close.😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Omg... that is hilarious. I wonder if Adam was laughing too. 😆
Or maybe Ben signed Adams name as a joke 🤔
3:50 HE LOOKED HOMELESS LMAO
im so glad adam sandler didnt go “well im popular so get me a seat now” instead he just left because he didnt wanna wait 30 minutes, respectable option
@j_edwards6075 What blunder? You clearly missed the point.
@ I personally don't see any fault on their part for not recognising him, but the fact they went out of their way to organise a fundraising event to "make up" for their "blunder" speaks for itself. I don't see it as a blunder either, but that's what I'm calling it.
Omg the Offset one was freaking hilarious!!! I never laughed so loud... the cop said, "Who is that?!" Lololol
Will someone please tell me who he is, and why his mother gave him that name.
Hahaha same for me!! I am still laughing, 2minutes later, thinking about it....his voice, the way he said it!! LOOOLL you could tell he did it on purpose, probably didnt like how he was bragging loll 👌
"I am famous, too." What a doofus.
That was me. I was asking myself “Who in the fuck is the offset?” 😂
It's his nickname/rapper name not his birth name. You think Migos is his last name too?
The awkward moments when celebrities get treated like everyday people.
It’s what they deserve, not awkward
That's how things should be. People treating them like gods is what makes them feel above everything.
"Jennifer Lopez"
"Who's that?"
😂
Keanu flies coach, the subway, walks wherever he can even though he is a multimillionaire. He's just chill.
If that's true he's an idiot.
I refuse to fly "coach", I could afford to fly business etc. so I just never fly anywhere
Maybe he takes public transport cause there’s a higher chance he'd be recognized than if we were to drive
@EliskaStanley Interesting way of guessing you have there.
"That's how you stay a millionaire"
Regarding Keanu specifically, there’s many things known about him that he doesn’t publicize at all or do for attention…he just does them to be kind and a good human being. He is an all-around fantastic person and doesn’t seek attention like many celebrities.
Dua Lipa is better than Frank Sinatara? Gosh the audacity 🤣
What's a dua lipa? 🤭
I was wondering this too. I've heard the name before, and thought it was a new pop group.
Frank Sinatra, in the other hand.... before my time, but it's pretty difficult to not know who he was, and how he could croon.
True.. Though I do oprefer her over him. not a fan of his. I do recognize he is good though.
I’ve absolutely no idea who she is 😂
Also weird how they thought a woman of that age would recognize or prefer her over Frank Sinatra.
Keanu is a class act.
He's got a great camera man too... let's not forget that! 😅
It's bear minimum sadly and people are worshipping him as if he's special.
Usually celebs know who's watching or filming them. He def knew someone was recording.
so is tony hawk. tony said he was eric koston LOL😂
easy when woman over 70 meet rappers, not too often do they listen to THAT TYPE of music.
I would not recognize 80% of them.
That I'm Jennifer Lawrence handshake reveal was definitely the goat of this video
Keanu Reaves being nice to random ass people in public is just amazing
He is a random person to.
@ladybird491 exactly
This video restores my faith in humanity. The hollywood elites dont deserve special treatment just because they make movies.
Just the irony of the situation itself is comical “Hollywood elite” expecting VIP treatment….. …at an IHOP.
Most of the celebrities in this video were pretty humble, in my opinion, other than a few of the rappers.
@Billbob0327 He wasn’t expecting special treatment you actual weirdo 😂
most of them dont make movies
❤❤❤❤
What's awkward is thinking that accepting a hug would suddenly be OK just because someone is famous, or that you would be able to interrupt an arrest just because you know people.
In Jerry's defense, he wouldn't have hugged Kesha even if he knew who she was.
I think he was just doing a parody of the Seinfeld show where Kramer wanted all the tenants in the building to have their photos on the lobby wall and greet each other with hugs and kisses, and Jerry refused after awhile.
She looks ... sticky.
Jerry is famously a germaphobe, I am not at all surprised he didn't hug whoever that chick was.
Because he’s an asshole or because she looks sticky?
Either way jerry is still an asshole in real life, not necessarily here cuz I know he’s a germaphobe, but just in general he’s an asshole in real life lol
Keanu Reeves went unnoticed, huh? They were recording him! 😂😂😂😂
One person happened to recognize him.
I was asking myself the same question😂
Nah too funny
😂 I thought the same lol
Keanu is a sweetheart though
cameraman doesn't count.
"who invited you" "uh myself" FRICKING CRACKED ME UP😂😂😂
I think I recognized two people in that.
I can understand when celebrities might be a little surprised that people don't recognize them, but they should never feel entitled. Just because they're famous, does not make them any better than anyone else. Love Jen Lawrence just hamming it up more and more.
I guess they didn't recognize her without a "mess" on her face. 😅
Thats crazy@YuToob7
Officer: Who are you?
I'm offset from Migos!!!
Officer: Who's that? 😂😂😂
My sentiments exactly. I don't know or care. That's like the dumbest moniker I've ever heard being used as a stage name.
he said to the officer "I'm Offset, Migos." I would have heard that as first name-last name and said "ok Mr. Migos, do you have proof of insurance with you"
"Offset? Is your pedals offset from the floor or something? Step tf out of the car..."
@Brando-wc8fz😐
Exactly! I would’ve said the same thing and I still don’t know who he is nor do I care!
“Do you know who I am.”?
That shit is getting old my guy!!!!! Wait your fuckin turn!!
Keanu reeves is such a nice man I hope one day I can meet him
Who are you?
I'm Paul McCartney.
Who?! 😂😂😅😂😂
Shocking! Right?
No not The Who, The Beatles
😂
So many ppl are recognized on tv but in person they don't always look the same
THE IMFAMOUS "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM" IS NULL & VOID 😂
"I'm having you commited" was hilarious
"To make amends" What the fuck are they making amends for? Sandler should wait like anyone else.
@GR-zh4ol Not a celebrity, but your mom knows me ;)
This is the difference between a genuine person and a narcissist. Then they are denied the sensation of feeling special then the melt down, sometimes explode.
yeah
I agree about Adam Sandler. I met him in a used CD/Record Store in Los Angeles. I didnt want to bother him with an Autograph or anything as he was thumbing through some vinyl, so I just said hi and talked about New England (I was living there for a little while) and we talked about that and told him about myself , shook his hand and left him alone.
My Friends were like YOU DIDNT GET AN AUTOGRAPH?! - I was like naaaa. hes a regular person like the rest of us and just needs some time to do normal things.
Im really happy about our interaction.
I did the same thing with Lea Thompson. Just had a regular conversation and went on our ways
Most people look at me like I was a sweet little angel 🙄
He did show up and we walked together all the way to my mom's work .
It was FRICKEN AWESOME!
I did the same with Nancy Kerrigan. She was leaving Stop and Shop with her daughter in Stoneham, Massachusetts. They were talking and I didn't want to interrupt.
I only knew like 5 people in this video
Integrity is the good that you do even when no one is watching. Keanu Reeves has nothing but integrity.
it's not that they don't recognize Keannu, they just respect his space.
Or they got their own day to day stuff to worry about.
Except the camera men who is sneaky filming it 😂
But also in a somewhat not disturbing way..
The positive point is we live in a world with so much celebrities now that we can't know them all.
it was an accidental double tap
*Keanu
Most people don't go about their daily lives thinking about famous people. Most people have real genuine things to think about, like paying their bills, not getting mugged on the street or subway, wondering if they'll lose their job, etc., etc., etc. Most celebrities live in a bubble where they don't have to worry about a lot of things we normal people have to worry about.
I think no one cares about celebrities anymore, because they have had their privileged lifestyles shoved in our faces for decades by popular culture.
You act like you don't watch celebrities on youtube...
@v4v819 You act like your life revolves around watching celebrities on RUclips.
@violeteyes5255 Hey at least i can watch a celebrity video on RUclips without posting unironic comments about how "most people go through their daily life without thinking about celebrities"...
At least my life doesn't revolve around Hypocrisy! LMFAO!!!
@v4v819 You obviously are a Democrat, and that says it all.
Reese trying to use that Legally Blonde acting lmfaooo
Love it when celebrities show humility and remember they are humans like everyone else. Hate it when celebrities are entitled and feel the need to play their celebrity card, and get angry if people don't know them
1:00 that happens to me every time I go to Olive Garden...I walk in, waitress tells me it's gonna be 30-45 minute wait for a table so I walk out. Where's my all you can eat breadsticks fundraiser to make amends, I'm Hildahl for Christ sakes!
😂😂
"We need another hit" 😂 British humour at It's finest
"I really got myself in it this time." has to just be one of the greatest textbook lines for that.
Oh my Gosh, That Cop didn't care that this lady named Reese had her spoon😂😂
The “TOO LATE” at 8:00 has me crying laughing 😂😂
If you EVER say to someone " DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?" I don't care who you are. You need to check yourself because you are above NO ONE.
yeah agreed, ego is such a b*tch
That's perfect .. and so funny 😆. I hope to be able to use that line someday. Great idea for a cop, cuz I'm sure they hear that quite often.
Only Trump can say that because he is above the law
Ever notice that respectable people don't say that.
Do you know who I am
That salty look on cops face shows he knew......😅😂🎉🎉😂😅
Awww...poor babies.
To be honest , I didn’t know over half these celebrities.
Me either
Please keep that elderly lady on the subway protected at all costs, so wholesome lmfao
She may be wholesome, but Jay-Z is not. He's a woman beater....among other things.
A skater that doesn't know who fucking Tony Hawk is is not a skater
Exactly what I was thinking and I'm not even a skater.
they could play his games just not know his face
...are you elderly? Hawk didnt invent skaters. You dont need to be knighted by Hawk, to pick up a skateboard, many of which are sold without anything to do with him, he doesnt own a line of popular skateboard brands. Kids buy boards at Zumiez. Hawk doesnt have shyyt to do with it. He can eff off. black youth sk8s, latin youth sk8s, asian youth sk8s, females sk8. we have our own relevant sk8ing heros, and don't need to honor or even know some shirveled up dude to be "allowed" to skate!!!!
@GirlWithNoPatience brother calm your ass
I was making a joke about skaters not knowing who the most famous skater of all time is
@Johnno_Gulles did you just call me..brother...
0:45 Make amends? For what exactly? Did he have a medical emergency wherein he needed to eat a pancake in 29 minutes or less to survive? Are they gonna "make amends" when they tell me I have to to wait just like he did?
Right😂 cringe.
I don't think you understand, these are not regular people such as yourself. Making a celebrity wait like that can get you cancelled. They did the right thing and made amends. Case closed.
What the hell have you done to entertain me over the years? with all of your talent😑
@moonlion7047get who canceled, do you even know what you’re talking about 🤔
Just a publicity exercise.
Exactly Offset Migo's WHO?
He seemed a little offset himself.
Keanu is first class all the time. I’ve never seen a more down to earth celebrity.
I love the last one. Calm classy and very funny
“Do you know who I am?” Should always be answered with “yes, no more important than anyone else breaking the law”.
Leave Britney ALONE!
He’s Ronny Pinkering. Who?
Keanu and adam are A+
It’s funny how celebrities act like they don’t want to be bothered when they are out in public, and then they get annoyed when no one recognizes them. I’m too busy living my own life without having to make direct eye contact with every single person that I come into contact with to determine whether or not they are famous, and I wouldn’t give two shits if they are.
Keanu is such a good dude in real life, countless stories, never a bad one
3:42 “do you not know who I am?” Cringe ass celebrities. Props to that cop for not treating her special.
Well yea but he can’t legally arrest her in handcuffs for speaking lol
@aleher7692it's called hindering an investigation (obstruction of justice).
They absolutely can arrest you, I, or any civilian
Right😂
@aleher7692and arresting her not knowing her name as well which is what he thought she meant
@Theodore81547she even said before then she was allowed to go over and ask what was going on and she didn't fight him at all on it but warned that it would become public
I wouldn’t recognize 1/2 of those people either 🙄
All 🦍 look the same to me
@Max420IPA unneccesary racism
Their voices too.
Adam Sandler is very humble anyone who recognizes him he will shake their hand but when he isn’t recognized he acts normal and polite ❤Love that guy!
Not really. He acted like a big crybaby that couldn't wait 30 minutes like a normal human being
I have always paid attention to the body language of the person and, only approach them if it seems right. Especially if they are with the family. 🤷♂️
Mhm, sure he is ,he just loves "pizza" so much, that's all.
@josetteandresRight? His humility is awesome. He dresses like an average middle aged dad. He’s not trying to stand out to intentionally be the main character in a room/crown, and I love that.
I thought that was “Eric Berg”
hahah got mad being called asap lol
Thank for telling the full story for the Adam Sandler incident instead of keeping it out for shock value.
It truly is a wholesome thing.
I also love how Jay was so happy to talk to somone who didn't know him, he was like " A genuine conversation amongst so many shady people"
See the difference in celebrities i do
So you saw this on you tube and it must be the true story. Lol that's the problem now a days all y'all get all your education from social media, no wonder the world is in shambles. Wtf is wrong with you
Jay is phony… someone was his team filmed that and posted it
Check out the video of him and Beyonce at the Louve (sp) in Paris… one of the photographers was like “who are you??”😄 Jay response was less than gracious🙃
04:32 "we need another hit guys! we need another hit!" had me rolling on the floor😂😂
I was laughing so hard at that too. Gotta love Paul. Most celebs would be so mad he's just out there having fun with it.
We need another hit song guys we’re starting to fade out again
Isn’t that *Martin Short* with him as well? If you’ve ever seen *Three Amigos* you know who *Martin Short* is 😉
Katy perry not being recognized by just her head on a platter will always ne comedic gold
*_Sandler stair is going to haunt me now lol 😅😅😅_*
