Simping so hard for a celebrity is such a disgrace. Being fan of their music is one but being obsessed with someone who has no idea who you are is crazy
Exactly. I could never understand people who go crazy over seeing their fav celebrities in real life. Like calm down, you're not their friend or family, you have no idea how they are behind the cameras, you're just seeing what they want you to see. They're just normal humans like us.
I'll be honest. I've fangirled once for a writer before. HARD. I'm pretty sure I creeped them out, and I can 100% understand why literally 15 minutes after. But in that moment it felt like an overwhelming need to express whatever admiration or emotions I've gotten through their work. It's embarrassing, but thankfully I wasn't disrespectful. But I can see how people would very easily veer into that because they're excitable and fanatic in the moment. It's almost like getting a release of emotion you couldn't release before. That's just from my one experience I had years ago. But yeah, obsession to the point of following them around, touching them without consent, or stealing their possessions goes into crazy territory.
There's nothing wrong, with liking the person's work that they do for your entertainment. The problem, is when it escalates to INSANE levels of entitlement and obsession over it. These people, are never gonna know your name, be your friend or take you out for dinner etc.
I paid for a VIP ticket to TOOL in hopes of meeting my idol (Danny Carey) because my obsession with his drumming has pushed me not to give up despite my diagnosis. The stars aligned and I was in the right spot to be able to shake his hand and tell him “I started drumming because of you! Thank you!” and he handed me a signed guitar pick (as he also plays guitar). It was the most magical night and I don’t regret paying a mortgage payment for it. However, had he not come my way, I would have still gladly paid the money for what we got in the VIP package and I waited patiently for him to come my way. I would NEVER jeopardize my hard earned money and especially the safety of that majestic artist for a handshake. You have to respect others, no matter if you pay money to see them.
The Justin Bieber one was a good example of this. It's terrible, it's like those infestation scenes in shows where the aliens with tentacles try to draw you in
💯 I had the pleasure of randomly meeting Kane from WWE at a Cracker Barrel gift shop a year or so ago. Admittedly, I was a bit giddy, but I never once considered being disrespectful or ridiculous. I just introduced myself and thanked him for all he's done, and I wasn't even going to ask for a pic but he offered to take one lol!
I mean, being excited or anxious in the presence of a celebrity is reasonable, I would feel the same way. The actions in the video that stem from losing their minds over such situation though…. Not so much.
Celebrities getting annoyed is like so douchy , hypocritical and confusing, if you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen, although John seemed very nice but they all should be for getting millions lol
That's what they signed up for. It isn't as if they didn't understand this. If people didn't care about them they would wonder why, but when people want their attention they can't be bothered. I agree there isn't a need to be rude, but this is the way it is. I don't understand how anyone could be in awe of another human, it's quite pitiful, but some people are, and these celebrities know that. If they didn't want the attention they should have done something else.
@@derekjet7715so basically, if your famous, you can have your space invaded? is that what you are saying? celebrities are PEOPLE too, they got feelings and they didn’t sign up for their space being invaded to THAT level, they knew they wouldn’t have too much privacy but they didn’t sign up for THAT whole other level pal, it’s literally common sense, celebrities should expect fans, big audiences and yeah, but they need space too, when they say it’s enough, its enough, now cut the bullcrap with “oH cElEbrItiEs sIgnEd uP fOr iT sToP cOmPlAiNiNG” cause that aint working

They’re the same fans that scream things like “you’d be nothing without me”, “ we made you who are you are” as if they own celebrities and think they can do what they want to them. Same in their relationships

This shit is embarrassing and will not win over your idols. How deluded have we become when we can't see these people as... well, people?
Then they need to start acting like they are just that people. They think they are so much better than us for what? Pretending to be superhero? They even call movie actors stars like they are really that much higher and above the rest of us.
John Cena did this to himself for trying to become a famous celebrity now he can't take his fans idolizing him everywhere he goes. Well to bad because he did that to himself. Especially when he played the good guy role and was just acting like someone people could like

@TastyFood726 When they are out just doing life, they are just being people. There's a time and place to get fanatical, which is typically at public events like premieres or conventions. Hounding them at a grocery store or an airport hotel is not appropriate. They have responsibilities as celebrities, yes, but fans have responsibility as grown ass civilized adults too. Also, don't presume that every celeb think themselves better, thus treat their fans like crap. You also can't deny that there are some low-lives out there who hunt these people down for autographs to flip online for money or to flat out instigate a confrontation with their phone cameras out. It's ridiculous. Again, the entitlement is real.

Lol.. actually, YOU'RE the one who is clueless. The guy is a social media blogger, and he knows exactly who Cena is. He was being sarcastic when he said that, because Cena didn't like being recorded by him at that time, and made a bunch of sarcastic comments about the guy recording, needing to show more respect. 🙄😌
The decent encounter i had with a celebrity..i was 27. He came into my work and asked for help finding something, i treated him like any other customer, with professionalism and respect. Even though i wanted to get an autograph and a picture with him i didnt waiver. When i was done doing my job, he smiled and said thank you for this. I didnt realize why he said that in that way until later that night. I believe it was a relief to be treated as just another customer for him.
8:15 was the only part I had an issue with. For most people a concert is a once in a lifetime experience, and pretty much everyone takes pictures of themselves at concerts to commemorate the moment.. it was messed up and selfish of Maranda to call out some girls who were probably excited to be there and listen to that song, just to get called out and humiliated for doing something everyone does.
I work as a security gaurd at a local pub. We had Jimmy Carr come in one day after one of his shows just to have a beer. I met anthrax on the State of Euphoria tour. Scott and Dan were dicks for no reason. I was bummed. Then I met Scott again two years later. Still a dick. Super arrogant.
I once sent Adam Copeland in my home town and kept it moving as he was busy and I had somewhere to be but I know if I see him again and had the chance to talk to him I would ask him if he remembers a guy on a skateboard going past him in front of his house and be like yea that was me and I didn't wanna stop to bug you out of respect
There was a British radio DJ called John Peel. His shows always featured a variety of musical genres but he specialised in giving exposure to new artists. He lived in a village not far from my home town of Ipswich and was a frequent sight in the town at gigs, shopping or the soccer stadium. Everyone knew who he was and left him alone.
Its not just for "stars", its for someone who you have developed a deep para-social relationship with. So yes, they act very differently - its like an addiction. It can happen to anyone, really.
When I was living and working in Las Vegas, back in the 90s, I met a few. I've never been impressed by "celebrity" and they just proved that they were just people, the same as everyone else.

I wouldn’t do that to anybody. Even though I’m not a fan of 90% of these people. I don’t have an opinion of most of these people. I don’t know who Post Malone is, or Bad Bunny. I really don’t care to.
But this happens also on the Metal scene, just not as common like this video. The best examples I can give you was: - When a fan threw beer to Chad Gray , vocalist of Mudvayne, Chad then slapped the can of beer from the fan and flip him off - The infamous 2010 Lamb of God concert where a fan entered the stage without permission to which Randy Blythe threw him out and we all know what happened next
Nikki Sixx has made it known to stay away if he's with his family... rightfully so. I just saw an interview about him... A fan was bashing him because he wouldn't stop eating to take a pic with him. You read that right, he was eating backstage at a concert.
Dave Mustaine has a reputation for telling off people in the crowd, and there's been times where James Hetfield has had to stop songs because people threw things at him. Corpsegrinder jumped off stage and fought with someone. This shit does happen in metal.
I'm from Detroit (blow the reveille)! I read an interview with John Lennon where he described an encounter with a fan in NY City. As the fan passed Lennon (walking in the opposite direction) he simply said: "Thanks for all the great music." That was it! The fan just kept walking after that. *THAT* is how you treat a celebrity in public! (respect) Peace. ✌ Stay Healthy! - Dave B.
I remember an interview where John said that's why he moved to NYC - people either didn't recognize him or didn't really care that much, so he could go out and not get mobbed just doing normal daily things like buying a coffee.
Back in the day, celebrities lived in NYC in peace. It was common to see them doing regular stuff like regular folks: Joan Rivers at Central Park's Children Zoo with her new baby in carriage (daughter Melissa), Future director Mike Nichols with his gorgeous Irish Setter, a crew filming comedian/toon voiceover legend Arnold Stang riding the back of a chariot driven by an unknown, muscular, toga-clad actor (future CA "Governator"), John & Yoko getting out of Warhol's car, etc. No selfies/autographs. You saw these folks, said "Hi" & went about your business. Good times. Then came the non-New Yorker psychos with their guns. Imagine. ☮️ Gotta go. It's time for Jello, Bingo, Meds & a nap. 👵
A lot of times it's obsessive fans throwing "gifts." Florence Pugh just had one of those incidents and got hit in the face with a thrown gift-wrapped box. Fans can be weird.
I've met and talked to quite a few celebrities over the years. It always amazes me how much people go nuts over them. They're just people. The worst that I experienced was at the grocery store. I live where a lot of The Walking Dead was filmed. The actors lived here too while they were filming. One day after work I stopped at the grocery store and I realized I was walking behind Melissa McBride (Carol on TWD). I didn't say anything and just went grocery shopping. I turned down and aisle and she was coming towards me. I simply said, "Hey, how are you?" Typical Georgia greeting. Then two teenage girls came around the corner and spotted her. They screamed, "Oh my God, it's Carol!" so loud you could probably hear it a block away. I felt horrible for her. She'd been filming all day in the Georgia heat and just wanted to get something to eat and go home. That's the problem. Too many people idolize celebrities. They're just doing a job.

Yes, I know what you're saying. That feeling that he could _'walk-among-the-masses'_ eventually got him killed. 😔

I don't think I will ever understand paying a lot of money to go to a concert of someone you don't even like, just to throw things at them.
A lot of times it's obsessive fans throwing "gifts." Florence Pugh just had one of those incidents and got hit in the face with a thrown gift-wrapped box. Fans can be weird.
Don't even try. You'll drive yourself crazier than the March Hare and the Mad Hatter combined.
4:32 “ugh I guess that’s my fault” no it’s not 😢no one deserves that treatment and a so called fan wouldn’t steal their idols property
I've met plenty of celebs, never ask for autographs. If I'm a fan, a simple appreciation & handshake if allowed.
The mafuca in the wheel chair wont stand up, the blind guy wont look at me, and the deaf person wont listen. What is with these ppl
Fr stupidity beyond belief
As if that guy was really saying "yee they buggin!" To Tom Hanks 😂. Bro it was you that did it!! 😂🤦♂️

8:30 if they wanted to listen to music, then they would be at home with their headphones in their ear. They’re live there that’s why they want pictures.

The black guy who said: "y'all chill" when he was the one who shoved the wife is crazy
It kind of looked like he got shoved into her, but also, he was way too close to begin with.
He got pushed into her
There was a guy wearing blue with a backpack trying to record and he pushed the black guy into her.
