Lamar Bell's family should have sued atleast the EMTs bcuz he was begging them to help him and the EMT said "Well I cant help you if youre yelling at me" and they really didnt even try to help.

@Haydentrudyjones you said it yourself. They knew he illegally consumed a high amount of cocaine. They should’ve told EMT that instantly and treated it like an overdose. Especially when he’s screaming help me please I’m dying help me I swallowed all the cocain
lol he was in the wrong but damn they really let him die
What’s that old saying… “f*ck around and find out”? I think he did just that. I agree they could possibly have began administering some kind of aid, but they were attempting to get his vitals and he wouldn’t stop screaming and thrashing which obstructed them from further continuing. He very much made his bed, he didn’t seem mentally all there
Not quite as simple as you describe. The suspect was dishonest from the getgo. If the cops give the EMT inaccurate information that the suspect said, and it was wrong, his family could sue them for mistreating the person. The whole shitstorm of a situation was caused because Bell was dishonest and lied to the cops. He created the catastrophe that ended in his death. Bell should have immediately confessed to possessing and consuming the coke then the police could have helped him sooner, but he violated their trust and faked them out, which resulted in hesitant treatment.
Case 3 "The Suspect did it to himself, the officers inaction only hastening the outcome" where I come from failure to provide assistance is a very serious crime.

Here's the thing with coke, you feel every bit of yourself ODing, comes on with heart palpitations first and then your heart starts beating and seizing like crazy until you finally pass out and/or die.
