I love how Eddie's such a nice guy he's asking the people in the audience if they're ok after he launched himself in there. The mans a living legend.
Eddie sucked ass he was always a fake sellout
And Mike checking on Jeff after getting hit in the head with Eddie's mic at the end.
Great guys for sure!!!!
Oh shit! Is that what happened? Oops! 😬
I am personally responsible for 120,000 of these views
WORD!
I'm probably responsible for 1500 of the views.
I am keeping up
me too
lesscowbell1 haha me too
Took my kids back in the day...they were about 15. Twins boy and a girl. We were all in the pit having a great time. I got out for a bit to cool down. Apparently the drummer threw his sticks into the crowd. A few minutes later my daughter finds me, she has a black eye, hair is all fucked up, clothes dirty, hands me a drum stick and says "this is fucking awesome, I'm going back for the other one!!!" Great memories...
Fantastic kid ! Something I would have done as well !!
@Edgar Acuna lmao i bet
The BEST comment here...😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
i dont care if this is true or not, made me laugh either way.
Lol that is amazing
4:21...After one of the most epic stage dives ever, gets back on the microphone and writes one of U2's greatest songs right on the spot! Gotta love this guy.
You are so absolutely right 🤣. What an epic performance.
😂
Haha... Couldn't tell if he was saying "It's a beautiful day" or "It's a beautiful thing."
Mike McCready is a guitar legend
Matty T (Quickzzz) McCready is slightly overrated - it’s Gossard where all PJ’s at!
Lmao i didn’t really notice who did that somersault but that’s hard to do and continue playing.
Both McCready and Gossard are grunge guitarist legend bro
A part of me dies every time I watch this.. because music will never be this good ever again.
Never, ever.
True. But we live in hope.
This performance is unbelievable. It never gets old.
+Karina Lagstrom Knocks my off my feet !!!
полностью согласен
Karina Lagstrom yes!!!!
It’s like Queen during Live Aid. Such a Historical performance, in the 22th century it still will be loved 🤘
Watch it everyday
Even heavy metal fans can agree that this is performance is awesome
Heavy metal fans don't know shit
@@kurt2890 is it so hard to fucking listen to music and appreciate it, i love grunge and metal, so what?
@@caughtsomewhereintime666 haha ikr, who said you can't like both?
@@favioescalon528 yeaa, so truee
Good music is good music
How he survived all of his jumps etc i will never know what a legend
TheSonic1367 one word adrenaline
It helps when ur only 5'7" 130 pounds
It doesn’t get Eddie Vedder then this 🤘
thats y hes still alive
because everyone there not too busy with their cellphones, so they're prepared for anything
I would give couple years of my life to be there.
Same!
Pretty sure every pearl jam fan agrees :D
QueensRock omg me too
This statement 🙌🏽
I know this comment is 3 years old, But I would give my entire fucking life to be there... no doubt
That's how you own the crowd. You don't have to tell them to jump or to clap. They just do it. Rock and roll making the best music out there and owning everything out there. That's what Pearl Jam was about back in the day and still continues to do so!
Shaurya Malhotra well fucking said
Love Pearl Jam 😎
To all the phony pop artists thinking they're rock stars doing stage dives, you ain't a rock star until you do a stage dive like the one at 2:58
Absofuckenlutely😎
Best one is Sid Wilson jumping off a 15 foot high scaffold into the crowd.
Seriously frickin' amazing
Better than 80's jumping stage jajajajaja Eddie was a rock hero
Yeah,grunge unbeatable !!
Pearl Jam when they were young, hungry, and invincible!!!
And when they all had epic hair
God bless Pearl Jam!
David hey,hey,hey
...
David they still are raw 😎
gotspee No they aren't
Eddie’s stage dive in this video is among one of the best stage dives ever imo. I wish I could’ve time traveled to this concert, the energy seems so relentless.
And that's, dear audience, what we call grunge.
Maravilhoso
Yeah,Eddie was Insane
At its best
No such thing as grunge. It is a term invented by record companies to sell product to people like you.
@@gogoyubari366 >to sell product
>video on youtube
this is the greatest single live rock performance ever
And I was there!!!!!!!
Dick Dastardly That would have been crazy. Too bad I was around 8 or so at the time.
Dick Dastardly Me too!!! 14 years old and going insane. I was about 25 meters from the stage and I was black and blue from the moshpits, but I was so pumped up on adrenaline that I didn't sleep all night and I didn't feel the bruises until the next day. I've been to my 17th pinkpop this year, but this performance is still number 1... no contest!
very close
I Am Hate I was -8 so... Pretty hard for me to go lol
They weren't playing the song, they were the music...
Exactly
no that's stupid
George Hornsby no your stoopidddd🤣
@@georgehornsby6882 people like you just don't get it do you.
@@maxchannel2.065 what don't I get exactly? A cringey comment trying to sound deep?
True meaning of young and wild. Utterly in love with young Eddie.
Buen video
+luis carlos zambrana antezana were you expecting a reply cuz she got a Spanish name? lol dumbass.. go chase your mexicans somewhere else
+Raul Diaz You have a "Mexican" name,dude
Alexis. A. I'm black
+Raul Diaz lmao. The dude said that this was a good video. What's so bad about that? You're a piece of shit. And I doubt your fully black since Diaz is a common Hispanic name
I like how eddies stage dive is timed perfectly with the song
I'm 40 yrs old now & you'll never see a period of time like that again, at least not anytime soon. what a great time to be young. you could turn on MTV or any radio station & hear loud ROCK...just fucking great. and we didn't need iphones, ipods, ipads, the internet, facebook or twitter to do it. all word of mouth baby.
Yeah, this... EXACTLY this.
42 years here, and I couldnt agree more. Well said!
Im 40 as well and ive yet to see them live. This year has to be the one.
No more fucking excuses
The problem is people are actually less connected in person these days because they spend so much time "socializing" online
the drummer should've been their drummer ALWAYS, just insane
I'm a 50 year old grandma coming here to re-live one of the greatest bands I've ever seen! What a great era of music! Damn I miss the 90's!!! Still rockin tf outta this song at 50!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🎸🎤🎶
I think I just ovulated..
Doesn't everyone when Eddie sings?
Mine big time!!!
Wow! Eddie is so good that the best part is 5:19- 5:42 is the best part, AND HE ISN'T EVEN USING WORDS!!!
Eddie and crew personified the 90s in a single performance. So glad I grew up in this time. No era of music infused you with energy and emotion like the 90s did. This song is the best thing on RUclips. Long live PJ
That drummer... Amazing.
sad they fired him
Best innovative drumer dave aburaze
And unfortunately the rest of the band treated him like shit.
@@zona999 Were you there to know for sure?
Best they had. Cameron’s amazing in Soundgarden, but totally wrong for PJ
I hope the day to see musician playing again from the heart and not from his POCKET or WALLET!!!
That's. Not the point in becoming famous
Holy shit i 've forget put "NOT from his"
Udai Taxim well MTV is near to die and is thanks to the internet.
+Sebastian Valdenegro I'm thankful we have internet nowadays. How else could I have seen this band if I wasn't alive during this. Life for me would suck without pj
But those who play with heart don't make to the top, only those who think about money goes to the top
Eddie was completely crazy in this shit hahaha anyways this is incredible
An Incredible piece of Rock History.
If this doesn't move you, check your pulse. This is still probably the most energy I've ever seen at a rock concert, even beats Pantera and Sepultura crowd stuff I've seen.
Love how eddie comes out and takes pics of the crowd!! LEGENDS
That feeling you get at a live gig, when the bass embraces your ribs and vibrates your whole body and you feel like you're transcending... Watching this is the closest I can get to that feeling inside me!
Even at home,in England watching on an ipad screen i feel everything as if i was there.
It has been a while since i’ve fealt what it feels like to see such beauty and i’m not even at the gig.
That’s how powerful this is to me.
The sounds, the textures, the raw energy and you just know that something very special is happening x
Greatest dive in the history of rock n roll.
Love that Eddie looks back at everyone to see that they're all good and will help each other back up. I actually came here after watching Eddie tell the story of meeting the camera operator again hahah.
i have seen a ton of Pearl Jam shows, especially the early days. I can tell you that stage dive was not for the cameras. He did that stuff all the time. Saw in him Phx with Chili's and Nirvana in 1991(ish?) and he would come running out of the wings during Nirvana and the Chili Peppers set full speed and just dive into the audience. Also, that climbing stuff you see him do in the early videos? In the first 5 years I don't think I saw a show where he didn't do that stuff. I was sure he was nuts, and would end up in the 27 club. That kind of intensity never survives... but somehow he did.
Mannn you sam Chili's, Nirvana and PJ in once concert. I really want to go back in time now goddammit
Agree. Eddie is an American treasure, he’s helped me through tough times I know he hates hearing that shit but I’m sure it’s true for thousands of others
I'm 7 years younger then Eddie but have never seen a better example of giving it all.
The title of this video should be The Most Awesome Live Song Ever!!!
Just slipping through for the 130,476th time to say that this is definitely my most favorite video on the internet.
sk same
love it when at 3.20 he twice looks back and asks 'are you ok'
This band never gets old just like Eddie's voice and spirit. #2023 gotta love Pearl Jam!!
Saw this live. I was there. Momentum for the rest of my life. Best show ever on Pinkpoo.
I saw them two months after this show. Great great energy!
if an alien lifeform came from the skies and asked me "wtf is rock and roll you humans talk about?" I would show him this video.
1:31 awesome how Voodoo Child's riff fits perfectly in that solo
what do you crave?
+Pene Con Aji does anyone know the guitar tab for the riff that kicks in at 2:14mins ??
+Jesus Christ i really don't know why i left that comment
Pene con aji po wn XD
Not such a surprise, minor pentatonic, wah, any such lick would fit in. But a cool tribute.
I could literally listen to this every day! I turned my 16 year old son into a PJ freak from this concert! ❤️🤘Wow
Congrats!
3:50 he goes back to the fans to see if they're alright.
this is beyond everything, great performance, great dive, great crowd, amazing.
So happy to have been there and lived that incredible experience!
When I listen to Pearl Jam I get nostalgic about a time I was too young to even remember... This is EVERYTHING!
I was there! My first festival ever!
You're so lucky! I wish I was there too.
the good ol' 90's baby!
I love Pearl Jam but this concert is when they were at their best1!1
+Chris M Right on!!!!
One of, if not the best live rock performances ever... Totally awesome. ;)
Pearl jam fuckin RAWKS then AND NOW!!!!!!
I love seein ed jumpin into the crowd he was ALWAYS doin that!
The power and raw emotion, energy and talent is f-in AMAZING!!! It brings me to my knees!
What the fuck happened to music today? What went wrong? I lived this era at the right time and I am so grateful....concerts like this will never happen again...such a shame...Ive been in numerous 90s moshes and all the memories ill never forget!!! Back then we took it for granted the number of great bands around, if I knew the way that music has turned out today I would have gone to a lot more concerts back then! K
Kano J I see these comments everywhere.... I assume most people followed the system and became consumers, not artists. Now we wonder where the magic went. Even though we were the magic all along
Kano J You have obviously not been to a Ska concert then
loved that yeah after the first few lines...so energetic! eddie vedder is probably one of the most charismatic and talented vocalists of all time!
McCready crushing it with the low top docs and a les paul. Greatest band ever.
Never saw any other band with so much energy during a performance ! And Eddie sings even better live and while running around ! This is great concert footage!
The crowd was so fucking awesome!!!!
The amount of energy in this concert is inspiring
I can't stop listening to this, seriously I'm getting crazy!! They're so fucking good :( I truly admire them as the incredible musicians they are and how they can really make you feel their music, I just can't stop dancing and running around when I hear them. Eternal love for pj! ♥️
if I had to descbrible rock n roll with one video, that would be it.
Fuuuuuuuuck I can’t believe this almost 30 years ago...
Eddie is one freaking Madman, One of the best frontman
The first chorus of Porch is just.......wow. Music perfected.
Simply awesome!, Pearl Jam is just the best band from the grunge era, shows like this will never be seen again.
Growing up near Seattle in the late 80's early nineties was definitely a treat! All those great bands!!!!!
Sometimes history needs to repeat its self...this is one of those times.
Just off of this song alone, I envy everyone who attended that concert. 1:21-1:51 The beginning of an insane little solo.
I was there that day, I too went down with Eddy F******g Vedder. Amazing experience. Your envy is justified.
Greatest intro to a song
The way he comes back to stage after his divd and start clapping his hands and the crowd goes with him is one of the best moments
Some things will never get old! NEVER!!!
THIS IS REAL ROCK!!!
you know why this is awesome? coz u dont see the crowd waving smartphones during the show.
+malayneum You know why? Because there were no smartphones back in 1992 lol
+malayneum The good old days when you lost a friend during a festival and stumble upon him/her 8 hours later by accident. In stead of texting someone who goes for a beer or a piss and are gone for 10 minutes like nowadays.
Hahaha...the great reason bro!..itulah beza between old skool crowd dan crowd skrg huhu
+malayneum thats bullshit, thats awesome cause the energy they had, if this same concert would have been in this years, only 2 or 3 retards would have his smartphone at hand. the bands concerts change when they're older. Stop typing the same shit in every fuking live show. ITS NOT ABOUT SMARTPHONES.
malayneum amen to that!
I'll never get tired of watching their performance at Pinkpop 1992 over and over and over...again.
I might die from the sheer awesomeness that's being emitted through my computer screen! But what a way to die!
Thank you for uploading this treasure! :)
this is a real rock concert!
abbruzzese goes to the hall with them cause he was there for this one
Joe Indelicato he should. I love em, but they fucked up on not bringing him in. They let their politics get in the way, like a lot of Americans on both sides
Ronald Hill it’s sad when politics decides who your friends are
Ozthewizard 1 Absolutely agree!
@@ozthewizard1394 They don't even have to be friends, bands are often just compilations of people that don't know eachother and just like and play similar music.
I like today's Eddie Vedder: wise guy with beard playing the ukelele. But the 90's crazy-as-fuck Eddie will always be my favorite.
Electrifying, still get goosebumps 21 years later!
So fortunate to say I was able to see Pearl Jam in their glory when they performed like this ❤❤
The greatest band America has ever produced, at its most fierce young peak
Omg I'm in love you Eddie vedder since I was 17 love always and forever 💟💟💟💟
One of my favorite live videos of all time
God, this never gets old! 🫶🏻
It's proven scientific fact...you can run through a brick fucking wall while listening to this, and come out completely unscathed.
You just don’t see this passion anymore
I was maybe 1 when this happened but damn baby me woulda loved being there as much as I would now
Yeahhhhhhh ❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥I love. I followed him many times over the years. Love love him👑❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
What a frontman!!
this sound remains alive in 2020 !!!
I remember seeing them in 1996 Ft Lauderdale Stadium FL 25k people what a night I’ll never forget…
In the words of Greg Kihn, who has absolutely nada to do with this epic performance, "they don't write 'em like that anymore". These are moments in rock history that we sadly will never see again.
Probably my favourite PJ track, but this live, is incredible ! Luv it 🤗
2:58 In this moment, Hair Metal/Glam rock/Hard rock is dead.
Verdade kskskdksk
Omg, great memories on this edition of Pinkpop.
This video crawls my skin everytime I watch it...🤘👏
I miss this Eddie... and this great times....
Me too..we all miss our younger selves..Our Idols age too. I'm so happy that Eddie is still singing 20 years later! Love Him!
Never gets old.
This vid is my daily drug
bloody incredible
