I haven't seen this anywhere in the comments, but my first thought was that "Anna" was supposed to be a prostitute - especially when she was walking down the hallway and men were handing her money from their rooms. Only their bare limbs are sticking out of their rooms, implying they are naked. There are no other women on this boat, either. At the beginning, Anna looks sad as she stands in her room alone, then puts on a big smile as she exits into the hall, putting on her "work face." You also notice her getting crazier as the video progresses. Could the song be about the dark path that Anna takes to achieve wealth, slowly driving her to insanity? The lyrics point to this too: "Hey, little Anna, what's the move? I can't believe the things you do. What's gonna be the price we pay for the money?" I feel like the song asks the question: Where is the line between wealth-seeking, and insanity? How far down the rabbit hole will we venture to achieve riches? Does anyone agree?
