Good run down on the use of the Sport mode on the Challenger Scat Pack. I wish Dodge would put out a software update to fix the engine sport mode that the forced over the air Uconnect update deactivated on the 2016 R/T and Scat Pack models last summer I really miss my sport mode.

I got a 2017 challenger rt so I got lucky that my car has the active exhaust so it sounds naturally good in sport mode. Problem is I don’t know how much gas I’m losing use this all the time
Depends on how he’s you’re driving it, look at your MPGs

You still have some traction control even in sport mode, the only way to turn it all the way off is to hold the traction control button in for several seconds until you hear the chime telling you it's off. Also Sport mode has no effect on the suspension on a Scat Pack. I enjoy your videos though!

Just got an RT last week! I'm not a car guy at all. I'm like a girl. I just like how it looks lol. But I've been doing my research and wow turns out to be a solid choice. I'll be learning a lot in the next few years.

You think sport mode shifts hard? Bro you’re lucky you have a 6.4, want to know why? Because you have acces to SRT Track mode which will make your chally shift like the Hellcat. You can get it with a Tazer, you wont regret it either, thats like the only benefit i see to the SRT392 over a Scat Pack besides the suspension and sweet interior. But yours is sick man keep up the videos

Traction control for the challenger is a 3 mode traction control: on, semi on and off. Look it up and see what it actually does in those modes
True, I knew it had more than one mode but never actually realized what the different modes did

I noticed that Sportmode opens the exhaust. My Scatpack is much louder for sure.
A lot of people have said this but I personally don’t notice a difference. I definitely do notice the harder shifts and throttle response though
Can u start the car in sport mode . I mean once u set it up in sport mode does it stay in that mode when u turn off the car ,,, and once u turn it on will it be still in sport mode
That’s a good question, I’ve never tried to do that. There might be a way to set it up as the default mode but I’d have to look into that. It also might just stay in sport mode if you turn it off and turn it on the next time but I’ve never tried that
Just bought a 15 scat pack Challenger but in the drive modes it doesn’t show the engine/transmission mode it only shows steering, traction, and paddles can anyone help?

Yes you can turn traction control on when sport mode is on
You left out the sound difference. The 8 cylinders are all open at all times and you get the agressiveness

I would imagine it’s probably better in sport

why in the manual does it say under sport button: Warning! G-force mechanism? From this video it doesn't sound like it at all.

David Onofrio Zappa in sport mode it just seems more stiff. Not sure if it actually changes but it might just feel like that because of the steering

Yes the seats were an added option, I believe they were only available with the Shaker

I’m not completely sure I’d have to look at it, I think in super track pack you can set the settings you want for sport mode or you can manually set the settings in super track pack
What’s the best size tires to get for the back?
I have the 2018 rumblebee 6.4l and it’s sick
Dalton Kennedy id say with the stock tires you could probably get 275’s on there which is what I’m planning to do
THIS IS REALLY SAD, CUZ IN A 5.7 TURNING OFF TRACTION CONTROL IS DIFFERENT

@@KCars what I have noticed is that on the Scat Pack turning off traction control is different that it is on a 5.7 RT..... to completely turn off traction control on the 5.7 RT one can only do it when starting the car. But on the Scat Pack one can do it after the car has been turned on and that's a good thing. I wish I knew how to turn off traction control completely on a 5.7 RT after it has been turned on....
Interesting. I’d assume that it would be the same. Have you tried holding down the button?
@@KCars all of the internet on the 5.7 apparently the only way to completely turn off traction control is to hold down the traction control button and the ignition at the same time then when the car starts release the ignition button but continue to hold on to the traction control button till you hear a beep. In fact the first time I realized that it was different on the 392 Hemi was when a guy noticed me in traffic and he immediately put his head down as if he was pressing a button and then he did a burnout to show me his muscle. That's when I realized for the first time that all one has to do is put the 392 in track mode or something and that also turns off traction control at the same time...... but turning it off for the 5.7 RT is different

When it gets right before redline you shift or just leave it in automatic mode and the car will shift the most efficiently if you have an auto
