I have owned a Scat Pack Shaker Challenger for a little over three years now. This is the most honest review I've seen of this car so far. I can confirm everything he said about it.
@@marcoseesmarcoshares I have 15,000 miles on the car now and the only issue I've had was a water pump replacement at 12,000 miles. It was covered under warranty. Other than that, it's been very reliable. I haven't had to have anything else done but oil changes and tire rotations.
@@jeb909 thanks for input! I really want to buy this model, but have been very hesitant to do so because I keep hearing mixed stories on how well the challenger holds up over time. I guess it all boils down to how you take care of the vehicle at the end of the day

Awesome review. I purchased a 2019 Scat Pack and this review helped me to make the final decision between the Mustang GT and the Scat Pack. After driving both the 2019 Mustang and Challenger this video helps put the two in perspective. The Challenger is bigger, roomier, and more comfortable while definitely as fast unless going around turns. The interior is awesome and well thought out. The suspension is fairly stiff and it does handle way better than one would expect. With the manual transmission the Challenger is a blast to drive and one can break the rear tires loose on command. With the pedal on the floor it is tough to control all that torque. The Scat Pack with the manual is over the top fun to drive and gives continuous adrenaline rushes. It is faster than the 1970s Challengers with the 426ci or 440ci six-pack. When I finally gave up on worrying about if the Challenger was faster than the Mustang or handled better, I realized the Challenger was the way for me personally to go. With the Mustang I only have 1/2" of headroom and could not fit a big bag or golf clubs in the trunk. With the Challenger I have 3" of headroom and can fit twice as much in the trunk. Not knocking the Mustang which is also an awesome car. Thanks again for the review.
I bought a 2023 Scat Pack 392 partially because of this review. I have no idea how your channel does not have 3 million subs yet, because you are that good. And I was a BMW guy for a long time. Still am - but tired of the “stuff breaking price”. If you are dismissing these Challengers because you think they can’t go around corners and brake…you need to think again. It is fantastic. To paraphrase your review. Yes, it’s not a modern BMW M3 or M5, but we’re counting seconds around the track, and I mean that. It’s a big, comfy, monster, cruiser, and it’s better for it. To paraphrase again. They can brake and handle, and if you compare numbers to “super-cars” of 15 years ago, you might be surprised. In the meantime, I’ll ride around comfortably, with smiles. GREAT review. Great reviews in general.

Great honest review! I have owned a 2011 rt since new and loved every minute of driving it with zero issues. 2 months ago I passed my car on down to my son and purchased a 2018 392 ta. The suspension takes time to get used to because of how stiff it is and will bounce you a bit on poor roads like in NY where I'm from. The fit and finish are beautiful and 6 piston brembos are awesome. I don't think I will ever drive another car as long as time will allow me. This car places a smile on my face every day I drive it. If you are in the market for a new car, at least test one before making a decision. This car draws looks every where I go and for a reason, it has stayed true to it's old school look.

As a scat pack owner myself I agree with everything you say about the car. It's a bit faster than 12.6 in the 1/4 though. But your right...it doesnt matter. It's a badass ride
Great review. I had a few days in a Charger Scat Pack and agree that the big Hemi engine is glorious. I also thought it handled well for its weight (and stopped well too). I also had a quick drive in a Challenger R/T with the manual and agree it’s a pleasure to use. Plus unlike the Camaro and Mustang real people can fit in the back!
Just bought a 2021 Widebody version of the Shaker scatpack, an awesome car and the improved adaptive suspension and wider wheels/tires helps handle the weight a lot. Awesome car that I’m glad I got before it’s gone
The single best video about the Challenger, period. No douchebag showing off like all the other ones. Just a down to earth guy telling us why this car is amazing. Thank you!
Very very good video for the low sub count. I’m glad for the professional appearance of this video. You’ll get the count if you keep creating vids like this
dodge should pay you for this because you increased their sales by a shitload. amazing review man I really hope one day I'll own one and when I do I'll make sure to come back here
This is an excellent review. Most SCAT PACK reviews spend 70% of time talking about knobs and weather the TFT screen too big or too small??? This review jumps right into driving and sound, which is what this car is all about.
This vid is GREAT. I own a 21 scat wide body and these cars are freaking FUN to drive. It’s size is part of the charm and handling it all is part of the fun driving them.
I just upgraded to a 2020 Scat Pack Shaker 392 Challenger 6 speed just like the one in your review, but mine is on octane red color, watch your video makes me so happy with my choice. Best Car Review ever. Thanks.
Just found your video, I keep watching it. I've got a 21 Scat Pack shaker 6m on order. This makes me feel like a fat kid waiting for a cup cake, impatient
Many thanks for this video - from a happy V6 owner (for a silly European driver, jumping from our downsized I4 engines, 3.6 L V6 is still a big engine...). Fully agree with all the points about look, size, ride and comfort of Challengers. While I found after 3/4 of a year the GT AWD being great daily (even for our tiny roads and elevated gas prices) and still giving some fun in addition, the 392 with manual transmission is definitely a car do dream about - a last muscle car by it's nature.
How on earth do you have under 2,500 subscribers! That video was VERY well done. From the camera work, to showing clips of just driving audio with no talking. Best review I have seen in a long time. You definitely captured the essence and reason why the challenger is such a great car, let alone the Scat Pack trim.
Wow, thank you, I really appreciate that. Glad you enjoyed. I’ve invested a lot of time into getting the videos to look and sound almost exactly the way I want. Honestly I’ve thrown entire videos away if I don’t find them interesting myself. Thanks again!
Your 100% correct it is a street car and is fun to drive , my 2016 ScatPack shaker hasn’t let me down . Your review IMO is hands down is the best explained in every detail from stem to stern . Cheers
I have a 17 exact same trim (dynamics pkg too) except an auto and in Go Mango. It’s no switchback car as you said but it’s a big powerful cruiser that’s a blast to drive. Every time I let her eat on a straightaway I just get giddy. It’s really the last of the true muscle cars. Hellcats are awesome but this is right in that sweet spot of pure raw muscle that’s refined enough to make it a car you can take out just for a quick rip or run the highway for a 4 hour drive and not get sick of it. Great review you nailed it.
You really created an informative video here for sure. I can add one comment: the 2018 R/T Scat Pack car shown here has the optional 275 / 40 / 20 tires with the 9.5 inch rims which represents a large plus for handling.
Sold me right there, I’ve owned Chargers, Super Bee, Cuda, and a 2010 Challenger for 12 hours(CarMax). Rented an 09 and drove it all over the back curvy roads. I am totally in, my next car is a Challenger Scat pack. 👍🏽 Thanks a lot buddy
I rented a Challenger (V6) on a road trip from New Mexico to Idaho and back (about 2500 miles of driving altogether). One of the best long-range car I've ever driven, very comfortable, stable on very windy interstates, but with enough handling to be fun in mountainous back roads. Always cool seeing all my local back roads on youtube.
great review. talking about the spirit and soul of the scat pack as opposed to just talking numbers is the way to approach this car. it is a wonderful street/open road/highway cruiser. the best i’ve ever owned. i’ve driven a 2018 scat pack challenger for two years. and still, every time i hit the start button it’s a big smile🐝
This is a really great video. You cover just about everything in just 10 minutes with apt comparisons. The video quality and diversity of angles are both fantastic. Keep doing this and this channel will blow up.
Great video. Very informative. I just took the plunge yesterday and bought a brand new 2021 Challenger Scat Pack 392. I went with the full T/A package and really like the look of the F8 paint with the matt black hood and trunk lid. I have owned a 2016 & 2018 Challenger R/Ts both with the 5.7L (one was a Shaker like yours). I always wanted the 6.4L so I finally did it. Watching your video made me feel even better about my purchase so thanks man. Good luck with the channel. New sub.
BuzzytheBlue gets it. He totally gets it! If only MORE people would too! Because this beast of a car is meant to be enjoyed. It's an experience! It's kind of car that all other car companies have forgotten about, which is tragic. The Challenger is built for people who have a passion for cars that go! For people who don't just want a boring daily droner *cough* SUV *cough*! I'm hoping to get a Scat Pack but may have to settle for the regular 5.7 R/T. Either way, I'll still have a Challenger.
I completely agree. You really nailed it. I can only compare the rentals that I've driven: a Camaro SS convertible and a Challenger R/T. The Camaro felt a little quicker and better handling but it didn't sound like a muscle car unless redlining it. Claustrophobic interior with no room for anything. The Challenger sounded awesome at any RPM, Has a good size trunk, room for normal size humans in the back seat and it just felt roomy and comfortable like an environment you will enjoy every day. I will gladly sacrifice a barely noticeable 10% performance for this level of comfort and live-ability. And yeah, the ScatPack seems like the sweet spot to buy. Huge price jump for the Hellcat and it's probably pushing it past the car's traction capability anyway. Great vid. Thanks
I ordered a 17 challenger scat and love it,had a connection who had a connection in Brampton, ordered it may 8 of 17 with daily updates on the build and was at the dealer on may 15th,needless to say I was very impressed and great full
I test drove a Tesla SP85D, which is incredibly fast! It’s a dual-motor single transmission sports car that goes 0-60 in 3 seconds. But… it feels like a state fair ride. You press the gas pedal and 3 seconds later you’re going 60 miles an hour, but it wasn’t any fun. It just kind throws your head back against the seat and makes you feel nauseous. It’s like riding the Gravitron. I really didn’t enjoy it at all. I test drove a blacked out 2020 ScatPack with manual transmission after watching this review. It confirmed what I thought would be the case after driving the much faster 1 gear automatic Tesla: I love the growling V8 paired to a quick shift stick - you really feel like you’re part of the machine. It's a beast! Tons of fun. P.S. Nice video work! Really great review.
Proud owner of a 2018 Scat Pack Charger here. You totally nailed this review, and the thought process of many Charger/Challenger owners. (imho) Don't get me wrong, we love that these cars are fast and pretty nimble for their size. And sure, we love that they can put up a damn good fight on everything from twisty mountain roads to drag strips. But more than any of that, we love the sheer experience it provides. As you said yourself, that near perfect combo of power, comfort, and daily usability that is extremely hard to find at that price point. And besides: Plum Crazy and B5 will always be better colors than whatever "exploded highlighter" color GM/Ford decides to toss out next. ;)

This may be the most intelligent, level-headed, perceptive review of a Challenger (any trim level) I've seen, delving into why this car exists in comparison to its Mustang and Camaro "competitors." I have to also commend this video's great camera work and editing.
Dude, please keep doing videos like this one! Today is very easy to grab a camera, take a car for a drive and upload the video to youtube.
I don't understand how anybody could *thumbs down* this review.... Either they don't drive or if they do drive, it's a Toyota Prius!
Imported a 2016 Scat Pack into the UK and had it 6 months now. Your video made me change my mind and go with the manual, so pleased I did!
I lovingly own a 2017 Scat Pack Shaker, and that was the best review I have seen on it thus far.
Thanks, Wesley! Glad you enjoyed.
Just bought a 2021 Widebody version of the Shaker scatpack, an awesome car and the improved adaptive suspension and wider wheels/tires helps handle the weight a lot. Awesome car that I’m glad I got before it’s gone
Honest Car reviews like this are what need to have more views.
The single best video about the Challenger, period.
No douchebag showing off like all the other ones.
Just a down to earth guy telling us why this car is amazing.
Thank you!
Wow, thank you! That’s very kind. Glad you enjoyed.
Very very good video for the low sub count. I’m glad for the professional appearance of this video. You’ll get the count if you keep creating vids like this
Much appreciated! Thank you.
One of the best car review videos I have ever watched. Really impressive dude you have a gift 👌
dodge should pay you for this because you increased their sales by a shitload. amazing review man I really hope one day I'll own one and when I do I'll make sure to come back here
I just bought one what a fun car
This the best review I’ve ever seen in my life
This is an excellent review.
You're the only reviewer that actually had something good to say about the interior. Great review on the Scat
I'm a Ford guy I've always loved cord but dodge is starting to consume me. The sound of that 392, I have never heard a Ford sound better.
I like dodge and ford. Am new owner 2016 srt 392. Love it! I also owned 2005 gt stang black shelby rims 4.6 and loved that car too!
I just upgraded to a 2020 Scat Pack Shaker 392 Challenger 6 speed just like the one in your review, but mine is on octane red color, watch your video makes me so happy with my choice. Best Car Review ever. Thanks.
3:56 it means lot to a car lover..sound is on 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Just found your video, I keep watching it.
Cheers
Best part of the video @9.20 - "Numbers may win you an argument with your friend but it is not going to make your Sunday drive anymore enjoyable"
Best Review ever this car is perfect for me just perfect it’s gonna help me to get away moves fast 💨 and feel the power of a real muscle car
You really created an informative video here for sure. I can add one comment: the 2018 R/T Scat Pack car shown here has the optional 275 / 40 / 20 tires with the 9.5 inch rims which represents a large plus for handling.
Thank you! Yes, I don’t think I’d buy one without the larger wheels and tires. The additional grip is extremely welcome in such a large/fast car.
I keep waiting for a shaker widebody.
@@Jeremy_810 Got one, it’s too cool.
@@Jeremy_810 The widebody is about the same cost as the shaker and if you want to keep cost reasonable (whateveer that means ;
So 275 is the widest you can go inside the wheel well
2018 scatpack fully loaded, all this is true. Best review
Sold me right there, I’ve owned Chargers, Super Bee, Cuda, and a 2010 Challenger for 12 hours(CarMax). Rented an 09 and drove it all over the back curvy roads. I am totally in, my next car is a Challenger Scat pack. 👍🏽
Thanks a lot buddy
She told me "size matters". Then took my keys, got in the 392, and drove away. I went home, ate a TV dinner and contemplated the future.
Finally!... someone reviewing a manual transmission Challenger! 🤘🏻
great review. talking about the spirit and soul of the scat pack as opposed to just talking numbers is the way to approach this car.
it is a wonderful street/open road/highway cruiser. the best i’ve ever owned.
i’ve driven a 2018 scat pack challenger for two years. and still, every time i hit the start button it’s a big smile🐝
Out of all the car reviewers I watch, I like this guy. Hopefully he's the only reviewer on this channel and you got me as a subscriber.
Thanks! It’s all me, all the time man haha. Everything is written, shot, edited, and reviewed by me.
winner of the challenger reviews!!
This was a really good review. Content, visuals, dialogue, editing, sonically. 👌🏿
Thank you for an honest review, and driving the big boar how it should be driven.
My pleasure, Ryan!
This is a really great video. You cover just about everything in just 10 minutes with apt comparisons. The video quality and diversity of angles are both fantastic. Keep doing this and this channel will blow up.
Its good to see so many people still loving muscle cars
Very good review! You covered a lot of areas that I had questions about. This car reminds me of my very first car, a 68 Chevelle! Muscle.....
My dream car. Hopefully i can get my hands on one before the naturally aspirated 6.4 is gone
Either way, I'll still have a Challenger.
love your honest input on these beautiful muscle of a car
Great vid. Thanks
I love my 16 scat. I don't even know if I wanna get a hellcat in the future.
Longer wheel base is good to help controll a car from a spin out.Only 1 inch less than a 69 Charger but 6 inch longer than the 70s challengers.
Legitimately the best review I’ve seen, completely convinced on buying one after this video alone.
Glad you enjoyed, Jose! I’m betting you’ll love it.
Finally received my 2019 Scatpack Manual, Stars and Stripes edition :). Thanks for the video that helped hold me over until it arrived.
Hey Mike, how's the star's and stripes treating you? Any video's?
Mike M same I’m loving mine
Your manual transmission skills are top shelf. Nice review and drive. And your over Skat Pack video sold me on it too!
Hey man, thank you! Have always owned at least 1 manual car, I just treat every gas or coffee trip as a chance to improve 👍🏼
that engine dip at 3:55... beautiful
Proud owner of a 2018 Scat Pack Charger here. You totally nailed this review, and the thought process of many Charger/Challenger owners. (imho)
Don't get me wrong, we love that these cars are fast and pretty nimble for their size. And sure, we love that they can put up a damn good fight on everything from twisty mountain roads to drag strips. But more than any of that, we love the sheer experience it provides. As you said yourself, that near perfect combo of power, comfort, and daily usability that is extremely hard to find at that price point.
And besides: Plum Crazy and B5 will always be better colors than whatever "exploded highlighter" color GM/Ford decides to toss out next. ;)
Thank you! There’s a Challenger Hellcat in Plum Crazy local to me that breaks my neck every time I see it haha.
I love mine. Two years of ownership and i dont regret it at all.
This is by far the best rear world challenger review I've seen so far, great video thank you!
I love this review, this was the best review I’ve seen on this car. It makes me love my challenger even more
I’m 18 now and leave for the military in July but i want to save up money and build a challenger R/T scat pack 50th anniversary shaker wide body!!! It’s my future car and I can’t wait
Awesome to see a comparative review by someone who drives performance BMW's, this is relevant... and yes, definitely thanks to the owner Dan... the car sounds insane!
Thank you, I’m hoping to help make people as excited about trying different cars/brands as I am. Always saddens me to hear someone write off other cars they’ve never driven just because of brand biases or stereotypes...
Love the Midatlantic scenery paired with the V8 soundtrack ❤
Made me a fan of this chassis low key just form this review!
I agree he did really well
2016 scatpack shaker & I love it 6.4 auto someday it will be my son's awesome review of the badass challenger
Thank you!
One of the most comprehensive and useful reviews I’ve watched. Time well spent!
The camera work for this video is superb. Your review was spot on, I really enjoyed it, and I own a Mustang.
Thank you! I actually own a Mustang as well, an 11 GT.
Some of the greatest channels on RUclips doesn’t have enough subs, lets change that! 🔥❤️
I just bought a 2022 Scat Pack TA with six speed in Go Mango! I love it! Last of the Hemis!
This video sold me on this car ... I found a well optioned 2016 392 sp shaker with 6000 miles ... I must of watched this video 25 times Thanks I like/hate you .....doesn’t matter how shitty or how stressed out I am ... I’m driving and smiling. .... it was right for me! Keep up the great videos buzzy
Life’s too short not to make a couple of wild purchases! Enjoy your 392, glad the video was part of your love/hate decision making process...
This may be the most intelligent, level-headed, perceptive review of a Challenger (any trim level) I've seen, delving into why this car exists in comparison to its Mustang and Camaro "competitors." I have to also commend this video's great camera work and editing.
Thank you, Ken. Glad you enjoyed.
This is my favorite Scat Pack review! Well done!
Thank you!
Dude, please keep doing videos like this one! Today is very easy to grab a camera, take a car for a drive and upload the video to youtube. Because it is so easy, most of these "reviewers" (or even journalists) came into the game without even knowing what it is all about... Just telling us how it FEELS to drive the car!!! Congrats!!
