Sarah, you must get your hands on the 6-speed. I've got a 15 Hellcat Challenger and love it, but you are correct, the 392 cars are better balanced. The 6.2 adds a lot of weight to the front making it understeer when cornered hard. FYI, proper lift (not jacking) point in the front is the subframe. The frame is marked with the triangles to show where to place the lift pads.
Oh YES you got your hands on my favorite!!!! I love this. Those cars are special. Thank you for being so cool as a car enthusiast you give everything a fair shake! Or “shake-down…”

Great job on the video Sarah! Thanks for making it. I love these dream-cars keep getting made for this "last call" generation of ICE vehicles. I hope there is a future where manufacturers still get to explore that side of production along with electric development. That being said though... That electric Banshee is the most Cyber-Punk car I've ever seen.

I loved the 392 challenger owner credit score joke! Phenemonal old school muscle car that is better balanced and more fun than the Hellcat in my opinion. Wonderful review, thank you Sarah.
Hey Sarah, 103.1 is a classic rock station in the Detroit area. Sad to see these go to be honest not the biggest Dodge fan but if I were to buy one, it would definitely be a challenger manual of course. I live a stones throw from Chrysler headquarters in Auburn Hills which is situated at the intersection of two major expressways so every time there’s a new variant hellcat, redeye, scat pack, etc. The Dodge boys ( executives at Chrysler )or whoever are ripping these things up and down the off ramps to those highways like a road course it’s really something to hear and see. I’m gonna read missed that. Have a great one as always.🐧🐧🐧👍
FWIW how long did you expect them to continue making a car from 2005, which itself was based on a Mercedes platform from the 1990s? Shoot, even the updated, facelift version has been around since 2015! I love these cars but its time for a change. Sad as it is, the world moves on and you can only hold on to the past for so long. At least there will be plenty of these around for the foreseeable future.

All 392 have Some sort of Intake! Mine is a TA and it has the Headlight inlet, as well as the Center Functional Scoop. So doubt power would change.. Also cut out mid mufflers, and you have an even 500hp.. At least on the in dash Dyno. I saw a 15 ho gain from the delete!
I actually had to order mine from the factory, I was able to get almost everything I wanted (couldn't justify the $6000 widebody) for $48265. I'm extremely happy using it as a daily driver. Anyway, great video. I am sad that the Challengers and Chargers as we know them now are going bye bye.
i got the widebody and realized how much of a pain it is! you are dodging some pain besides the money. they look cool, and i like it, but the wheel offset with those special rims means you can basically only get OEM rims for it, and tires are hard to come by too. In Canada, i'm looking at $1300 FOR ONE RIM. ONE. to have a second set for winter tires. not doing it. you are way more flexible for tires and rims with the regular body. enjoy!
That ZF transmission is the same as in my V8 F-Type - it's brilliant! It adapts to my driving style (lazy shifts if I'm pottering about and red-lines if I'm "pressing on"). It seems to anticipate when I'd shift and does it on the button! You ought to test a full fat F-Type (and I bet you can say "Jaguar" properly!). Keep up the great work.
I have a 2013 Challenger R/T and I LOVE IT. Sure compared to this machine, mine is not as powerful, but the handling, comfort, and how fast it accelerates at speed are all so great to have. The sound too. I hate that they are killing off the V-8 AND the Challenger in general.
Excellent review of a truly gorgeous automobile. Scored highly and even got the "satisfactory impressive girth declaration" from Sarah. Can't go wrong with that! If kept in pristine condition, this vehicle will be worth three times it purchase price in 15 to 20 years.
I drove both the 6 spd and the 8 speed Automatic It was fun but pushed in the corners .You seem to feel the torque more in the 392 scat pack,or the shakedown, the Hellcat feels smoother on the takeoff.
Great review but just a tip for the future lol (I’m a CDJR tech) there’s a triangle jack symbol on the front jack points. It’s on the front subframe kind of behind the wheel. Way easier that way.
