Normally aspirated vehicles will make a comeback at some point. The muscle car will never die!
When they tear down an engine plant, they're not going to build it back.
@@randywl8925 I haven't heard of them tearing them down so much as relocating them to where cheaper labor is. I think Dodge is jumping the gun if they think they can eliminate ice vehicles, but if they can get comparable horsepower & better fuel economy from a inline 6 w turbos, go for it. Ford has the Barra 6 in Australia that makes awesome horsepower, but doesn't bring it to the state's because "image". I don't see ICE vehicles going away in 12yrs, or 20yrs. The advancements being made in synthetic fuels will replace electric vehicle purchases before then.
Multiple government's are making it illegal to produce ICE after 2030 - 2035 ish. So until some new tech comes out I don't think we're gonna see that return in our lifetime. Maybe range extenders. Commercial vehicles and such, anything that needs to tow or haul significant weight because range becomes useless with EV when towing.
@@randywl8925 Why not, they built it in the first place, not difficult to do it again
@@randywl8925 Hahaha. Look at my thumb. Gee yer...
I had the 6 speed manual, the torque allowed you to start in 4th gear at 20 mph and hit 125 without shifting.
That finger getting caught in the hole and you pulling it out just made me howl!!😂😂😂
Came here to say this. That was the best bit.
🤣 Yeah, that was about a loaded as it gets.... 😆😉
I got a chuckle out of that.
@@michaelblacktree Ditto!
@@deltavee2 The fist in the air intake tho… 😂
I love the shaker hood
Same
I love Sarah and Shakedown, too.
100% agree with the comment about electric cars. One thing electric will never replace is the feeling and the sound of a perfectly done heel and toe downshift at the right time in a corner. Sure, they might be faster but they won't be as much fun.
ICE cars are alive, they breath and eat, and if you take care of them, they'll treat ya right. Electric cars have no soul, they are lifeless.
How come you are the only youtuber that goes completely in depth with the cars including the engineering of the vehicle. Insane.
Savegegeese does a pretty decent job. I think having access to a lift helps.
I've got a 15 Hellcat Challenger and love it, but you are correct, the 392 cars are better balanced. The 6.2 adds a lot of weight to the front making it understeer when cornered hard. FYI, proper lift (not jacking) point in the front is the subframe. The frame is marked with the triangles to show where to place the lift pads.
It's been both fun and a pleasure watching you grow over the years.
You have always done a fantastic job on everything you touch (literally) but your car review "productions" are becoming second to none IMHO.
Super informative, engaging and best of all, fun 💖
simp
Sarah, you must get your hands on the 6-speed. I drove one, and the sound is even more amazing, seems to be slightly louder, and burbles even when driving in a parking lot. total blast to drive. 2nd to 3rd gear speed shift drops right in. you will love it. I also love that you keep testing these iconic cars from Mopar.
Oh YES you got your hands on my favorite!!!! I love this. Those cars are special. Thank you for being so cool as a car enthusiast you give everything a fair shake! Or “shake-down…”
just took mine on a 2,000-mile road trip and averaged 24.3 miles per gallon. not bad for a 6.4L V8.
I'm a Hemi person and I was absolutely heart broke, at a loss, pissed off, had my soul removed when I learned this Era is coming to an end. Electric is NOT the way to go!!!!!!!!
You matched your outfit perfectly to this bad ass looking car, great job as always.
Great job on the video Sarah! Thanks for making it. I love these dream-cars keep getting made for this "last call" generation of ICE vehicles. I hope there is a future where manufacturers still get to explore that side of production along with electric development. That being said though... That electric Banshee is the most Cyber-Punk car I've ever seen.
Cool review, Sarah. I really enjoyed your camera setup to show the movement of the shaker hood. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for another great car review! You put so much effort, knowledge and fun into these reviews. You kinda make it hard to decide on one car, because I'm always looking forward to the next review!
As usual, you come up with another creative camera placement to draw attention to a unique feature while also adding humor. 😂 That car is gorgeous. As a boomer, I’m REALLY going to miss these piston-driven rockets on wheels. Thank you, Sarah. 👍👍👍
Hey Sarah, 103.1 is a classic rock station in the Detroit area. Sad to see these go to be honest not the biggest Dodge fan but if I were to buy one, it would definitely be a challenger manual of course. I live a stones throw from Chrysler headquarters in Auburn Hills which is situated at the intersection of two major expressways so every time there’s a new variant hellcat, redeye, scat pack, etc. The Dodge boys ( executives at Chrysler )or whoever are ripping these things up and down the off ramps to those highways like a road course it’s really something to hear and see. I’m gonna read missed that. Have a great one as always.🐧🐧🐧👍
Great video on a future classic car. Your humor is on point, the radio station references was hilarious! Thanks and keep em' coming!!
Fantastic. Love the reviews . Fun, factual and scores. Thanks. I watch them all. It's hard not to get excited about certain cars.
Setting up ITB intake with my 04 Mustang Mach 1 is also one of my expensive dreams.
Everyone always wants the superchargers, but a Shaker hood on an N/A car is just pure.
My dad had a 68 road runner 440 6pk 4 spd. I would have never thought in my lifetime I would see the end of one of the baddest muscle cars.
@HP, Come to an END a second time.
@Henri Young thanks. Sleep depraved
FWIW how long did you expect them to continue making a car from 2005, which itself was based on a Mercedes platform from the 1990s? Shoot, even the updated, facelift version has been around since 2015! I love these cars but its time for a change.
Sad as it is, the world moves on and you can only hold on to the past for so long.
At least there will be plenty of these around for the foreseeable future.
Your reviews are always the best! 👏🏻
Truly appreciate you! 👍🏻
I love your reviews only because of how excited you get. You just seem to love cars. The faster the better .
I was very close to buying the 2022 version of that Challenger (shaker/hood pins/wide body/etc), but opted for my Mach1 instead.
Ford, really?
@@NapFloridian If he's talking about an older mach1 it was probably for the price.
Can't account for lack of taste.
I bet a lot of those exhaust tips would go missing if they weren’t spot welded.
Ya. Ppl are lesser today. Back in the day FA and FO was in place. You respected others hard work and personal property.....or else.
Erm . . . I don't see why
@@yungkidnf ... It's kind of like, if you go to a party and you can't find the w a n k e r, you're it ...🤗 ...
Catalytic converters are welded in and still go missing. 😐
@@FrankyRedEyes Crime has never been lower.
Great video Sarah. Editing was on point!
Using ITBs with the shaker hood is what I need to hear in my life. Love the comprehensive insight and detailed overlook - I'm subscribing!
Great review. With the 6 speed manual you get 3.90 rear gear that really helps you enjoy all the torque
Love my 6mt, plus is no MDS crap
4.30 forever...tires forever...
Fantastic review as always.
Love your videos, your reviews, your whimsical presentation, and your outfits! Your gunna have to start giving outfit credits in the video description, especially for your shoes!
Hey Sarah I love the way the shaker moves when u revving it sounds amazing
Great review, I wish I could get just a regular widebody 392 but that shakedown is something special.
love the looks of the shaker
Awesome video I enjoy watching you explain things on the car, love the pants and heels you were wearing btw and the nails looked amazing aswell 😊
First time viewer here. I found your content really informative and fun. Really liked the under body analysis as well as wondering if the shaker scoop was functional. Excellent work.
I love your review Sarah you crack me up looks like a fun car thanks!
It's not about the miles per gallon, it's the smiles per gallon. ✌️
Awesome work as always Sarah!
Thanks Sarah another great review!
I actually had to order mine from the factory, I was able to get almost everything I wanted (couldn't justify the $6000 widebody) for $48265. I'm extremely happy using it as a daily driver. Anyway, great video. I am sad that the Challengers and Chargers as we know them now are going bye bye.
i got the widebody and realized how much of a pain it is! you are dodging some pain besides the money. they look cool, and i like it, but the wheel offset with those special rims means you can basically only get OEM rims for it, and tires are hard to come by too. In Canada, i'm looking at $1300 FOR ONE RIM. ONE. to have a second set for winter tires. not doing it. you are way more flexible for tires and rims with the regular body. enjoy!
I got a 2022 SXT for $35k, but now widebody.
I loved the 392 challenger owner credit score joke! Phenemonal old school muscle car that is better balanced and more fun than the Hellcat in my opinion. Wonderful review, thank you Sarah.
Hand girth test. Awesome.
Outstanding review and vehicle, Sarah! 💯 I own a Chevy now (Z28) but started with Mopars (68 Charger). IF I could I would certainly attempt to attain one based on your review alone! When I bought my Z it was allegedly a Final Model Year. That was part of my deliberation in selecting it. I went looking for Corvettes. 😉 Thanks for the fantastic composition!
I love the leather jacket. Sweet!! Oh, and the Challenger!
Dodge: please don't fist the headlights 😂
Lol 😂
Great review I learned a lot thank you
Awesome car review like always. A whole lot of gorgeous in that video. Appreciate ya always
I’ll never get sick of the pointer.
That ZF transmission is the same as in my V8 F-Type - it's brilliant! It adapts to my driving style (lazy shifts if I'm pottering about and red-lines if I'm "pressing on"). It seems to anticipate when I'd shift and does it on the button! You ought to test a full fat F-Type (and I bet you can say "Jaguar" properly!). Keep up the great work.
Oh my gosh what a great reviewer you are and I love your Canadian accent!! Much appreciated ❤️
Proud owner of a widebody scatpack challenger here. I watch all the videos about these cars, great car, great review! Long live the challengers
Great outfit Sarah on point to match!!
That sounds better than any electric car ever produced! Or will ever be produced!
Bro calm down it's a dodge lol. Cookie cutter interior and overpriced you can get the same interior on the v6 model.
@@henrymatthews9365 what’s under the hood and the suspension tweaks are what make it. Looks aren’t everything like the EV.
@@henrymatthews9365 the Hemi is a great motor; sounds great. It’s not about the interior lol.
@@henrymatthews9365 Who cares? If you want interior, you get a BMW or something, this is for fun lol.
@@henrymatthews9365 “Interior”?? Lemme guess…..you drive a Toyo….I mean “Lexus”? 🙄
Great review. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot about the car
As usual you get the blood moving Sarah...great test on a vehicle that will join the other muscle cars in another dimension somewhere (unless all this b.s. is stopped and they survive, of course). Thanks Sarah for showing the enthusiasm we drivers who have been relegated to history by health or finance.
I drove both the 6 spd and the 8 speed Automatic It was fun but pushed in the corners .You seem to feel the torque more in the 392 scat pack,or the shakedown, the Hellcat feels smoother on the takeoff.
Shakedown, breakdown, takedown
Everybody wants into the crowded light
Breakdown, takedown, your busted!
Now anyone can race at Darlington .A hot foot in this will quickly have you waiting for bail!
Smokin' review. Love the zippered pleather!
Sarah excellent job you answered all my questions. One of my favorite cars.and you clean up really well jacket looks great.
I owned a 70 Challenger in 79 as a teenager. I swear it was a thousand pounds lighter than the current one. I understand the quality and the build of the newer edition is much better, I just don’t understand why they have to weigh so much
Yeah, mine with 383 and Torqueflite was about 3,500 pounds.
I guess mine originally had a 340 but when I bought it had a 318
@@richardsilvestri6874 probably not a lot of weight difference between 340 and 318. Obviously a guess.
Your reviews are great, so much so I don't even care what you're reviewing, I watch them all
😎👍
Excellent review of a truly gorgeous automobile. Scored highly and even got the "satisfactory impressive girth declaration" from Sarah. Can't go wrong with that! If kept in pristine condition, this vehicle will be worth three times it purchase price in 15 to 20 years.
Not to trample on your parade...but milk and eggs will also be worth three times their current price in 15 pr 20 years. Maybe sooner.
This car costs 10 times what a 1970 challenger did. The next 50 years will be even worse.
Welcome to Venezuela USA.
New to the channel. Im rockin with you Sarah!!! This is dope
Another fantastic video.. Plus being from AZ is awesome!
That is how you make a gorgeous retro ride 👍
Great review as always Sarah. This is so sad as it's the end of the muscle car. Nothing will ever replace the V8 engine!!!!!!!!
The Mustang has at least one more generation and its grown so much in size that it can no longer be considered a "pony" car
Until they realize the Green New Deal doesn't work for making them money anymore
Love those chassis views/reviews.
wow i like your enthusiasm!
Totally agree with the wide body kit just makes the stance look mean with those headlights.
I can`t afford the car, tires, gas, upkeep. Other than that I love it!
Happy Saturday Sarah!!!
Dangit!! Just hopped on the road to PHX for a carshow/cos play thing, I'll have to watch when I return to The Dirty T.😁
Stay excellent!!!😎
Love your reviews Sarah.
Thanks Sarah 🐧
Nothing is more USA than that Dodge Challenger, great review Sarah and you make the car look even better 👍
So American , built in Canada with an engine made in Mexico. Lol
@@nascarnut00 hehe
Omg.
Your break down is lovely.
Excellent review, like the way you include the chassis/powertrain. Those rear cabin/dome lights look like park sensors with an led light in the middle. Overall a serious muscle car that is well executed.
🇦🇺👍 morning coffee with Sarah loving these….
Watch as Sarah fists the Challenger headlight 😂
10:38 you just keep blowing my mind. Love the content!!! Love ur style!!! Keep it up!!!!(twss)
I am glad you were able to do a review on a car I own!!! Glad you liked it! I only modded my car with lights and a few asthetics.
The shaker looks like a lion's snout. Dope.
WhooHoo! This will be epic! 😊♥️
This is my first video I've seen of yours & I must say I enjoy your quirky comedy
Love your assessment on this vehicle ❤ you know your stuff and I think you are very knowledgeable about this vehicle…
Thanks for sharing your experience and especially love the camera angles from the wheels to the garage…looking under it was really cool and I haven’t seen anyone else do this…
I’m a recent Dodge Challenger owner…trying to learn more about my vehicle…21’ mango orange 392 automatic transmission.
Cool headlights -- if you don't mind cleaning bugs out of that tunnel!
Great job, as always!!
Is there anything better than a beautiful woman knowledgeable in muscle cars? This woman is amazing as is her channel.
a car is an added perk/bonus, sarah is the complete package
Thanks for the review , I was wondering how these two compared.
Just the right amount of wit and sarcasm! My son has this 2022 car in orange and a 6 speed.
Always in the garage with very very low miles.
20 years from now, somebody will come across this RUclips video and say “ look at that young girl driving a really ancient noisy thing car “
Doubt it. Still waiting for the Jetsons space pods, some 50 years on.
In 20 yrs you'll regret not buying one

WoooT! First Time First Viewer!
My dad's 69 Mach 1 had the hood pins with cables. Yes they look cool but damage the paint over time. Great place for some 3M protection where the cables rub. Protects the paint, you keep the cool look and easy to change when the 3M tape starts to look crappy.
Love this channel Sarah ❤️
Great review but just a tip for the future lol (I’m a CDJR tech) there’s a triangle jack symbol on the front jack points. It’s on the front subframe kind of behind the wheel. Way easier that way.
I have a 2013 Challenger R/T and I LOVE IT. Sure compared to this machine, mine is not as powerful, but the handling, comfort, and how fast it accelerates at speed are all so great to have. The sound too. I hate that they are killing off the V-8 AND the Challenger in general.
Spot on. Love the DB analogy.
The coolest thing about this ride is that it is an "IRON" block V8. The possibilities are endless!
I had a 2019 Challenger with the automatic V6. It was a great car. Took it on 2, 6,000 mile trips when I had it and it was a dream to drive. I did test drive a Hemi Challenger and it was QUICK. Your reviews are great.
My friend had a 2003 mach 1 mustang with the shaker hood back in the day, it was cool to see it jiggle around.
Great review. Loved Maine getting a nod. 102.9 WBLM The Blimp is a rock station. 103.9 VOM Voice of Maine is a news talk station. More yellow finger pointer and more Joe Dirt quotes. Keep up the great work.
Awesome review!!!!!
