I loved Jon Moss at General Motors who came up with some great concept vehicles like the Impala SS and Monte Carlo SS. The problem was that GM watered down them down so much, it took the badassery out of the final product. Dodge is saying, “Up yours. We’re building this!” I love it!! On a side note, your hair fully told the tale of the braking test!😆
I rented a relatively tame Charger GT for a road trip two years ago and it was fantastic. I had a 300 hp V6 that got 30 mpg. I once started singing along with the radio and then noticed I was doing 90 mph in a 65 zone. Thankfully I wasn't noticed.
Same with me but I did rent the Hemi. Drove it 300+ miles and averaged 22, which wasn’t bad considering I wasn’t driving at al conservatively! I was amazed at how comfortable it cruised on the highway.

I can certainly vouch for the roadtrip-ability of the Charger. We had a V6 one, but size, comfort, driving dynamics were fantastic. The thing was a mile muncher for sure.

That’s not smoke show. That’s the Granite color. Smoke Show is what took place of Destroyer Grey and is a very light grey color that’s not metallic. I love the Smoke Show and Destroyer Grey colors. My Durango is destroyer grey

That's odd that they divert flow completely from the evaporator. I set up the chiller on my truck in parallel; basically emulating a rear zone evaporator. Control it with a factory rear ac console too.
They divert it completely so it can remove as much heat as quickly as possible. If you put it in parallel either the cooling in the cab will be lackluster or the blower won't cool down as quickly. No point in half assing the cool down mode IMO.

We are near the end of an era, Dodge says that electric muscle cars will be even more exciting, I doubt it, they may be faster, but muscle cars were never about speed, but rather the noise, the burning rubber and the imminence of death at every turn.

Compared to other Dodge interiors, this one looked a lot better than I have come to expect. The leather colour combo was nice, and it looked supremely comfortable. I would never own a Hellcat, I like them, but it would be wasted with the kind of driving I do. If I did get a Charger/Challenger, it would still be a big ol' V8, but I would be happy with the 5.7 Hemi, or the 392 (but I hate the "Scat Pack" name). You still get a lot of power to lay down, but they are less pricy at the pump and at the dealership.
