@@jordana7145 Ever heard of the AJ V-8 (and V-6)? Look that up. It is a Ford engine; not a difficult concept considering Ford owned Jaguar, Aston Martin, and Land Rover at the time.
I have been watching a few of your reviews lately and you are obviously the most knowledgeable car reviewer I have ever seen. you are also very funny so, at least in my humble opinion, no need for high heels.
I will say, this exact spec (sans the automatic) makes me want to leave the hot hatch life with my veloster N. I’ve never owned anything that wasn’t a turbo 4 or 6. That exhaust note is heavenly. Had to edit, fun fact sync 3 is powered by blackberry! Yes that blackberry.
Once you go to a V8, you'll never want to go back to a four or a six. Ford could make a 3.8 L V8 that would sound awesome, get great gas mileage and fill the need for that great V8 sound. I don't know why they don't do it.
@@coolruehle It's the notion that "there's no replacement for displacement", I believe. They still are on the low end on size when you compare it to the challenger or camaro, but with this, you get OHC and a redline that they conservatively set at 7K. A 3.8 V8 with DOHC and a redline of 8.5 would be a nice secondary option. However, with the godzilla 7.3 that they make, I'd rather see that with a king kong size blower through the hood. We can all dream.
@@coolruehle Ford needs to keep their bigger V8 in the Mustang to remain competitive with Camaros and Challengers. If they also made a NA 3.8 V8, it would probably be very similar in performance to their turbo 4, and I don't see them offering two very similar performance engines on the same platform, or dropping their turbo 4. Probably won't be too long before they start shifting production to electric anyway, but how acceptable that will be for Mustang enthusiasts is anybody's guess. Their Mach-E does have some pretty impressive performance figures though, and will undoubtedly improve even more as technology advances. I expect most auto manufacturers who try to shift their performance lines over to electric will start offering some kind of artificial noise capabilities to mimic current vehicle sounds, since the noise and sound a high performance V8 makes when it's being hammered is a big part of the performance rush. Aftermarkets will probably jump on the sound enhancement bandwagon too, as EV technology develops.

Park any s550 next to a ‘69 Mach 1 and the shape is very similar to each other, those few years are what this car is made to look after, the fastback is almost exact in shape and curves. The curve of the hood is also similar.
It's all good until you get that 0300 misfire code(s) and it falls on it's face while driving several times. Never mind the brakes and suspension constant squeaks, you'll get used to it.

Hi Sarah, new subscribers here. Just watch my first review by Sarah-n-Tuned and its was great. Your review on this Mach 1 is better than at least 80% of male review channels I watch. I drive a 2021 Mustang Ecoboost A10 for a work car and love the way it shifts in drag mode.
Thanks for the wonderful review. I clicked the notification bell and will be watch your other videos now.
Keep up the great work.
You can get that with a Tremac 6 speed manual transmission. Anyone that gets that with the automatic messed up.
The automatic is faster, especially when drag racing.
@@terminator7137 Drifting? Pfft. You "win" by judges giving you points, like figure skaters?
Drag racing is racing, where the first one over the finish line wins. Drifting is just like doing donuts in a parking lot.
I miss your shooting cars in the abandoned building. It has such a end times glad I have a fast car to escape vibe
8:26 that would not be true though, the bullitt only came with the MT-82 transmission, the Mach 1 comes standard with the GT350 tremec transmission which is a major difference
Do you mean in the manual
The sound of a rumbling V8 is so cool and one of the reasons I refuse to buy an electric car, great review Sarah 👍😁❤️
They put fake exhaust sounds in these cars why not electric ones as well?
I'm so torn about this.. In limited production cars like this they should be built as "driver cars".. You're way to generous, Sarah!
Yellow, fast, and the last of it's kind. Poetry on wheels!!! Thanks Sarah.😁
Fantastic review! I would love to see a Mustang project car…hint, hint. Stay safe!
Great watch, wish I had my 69 Mach 1 back. Glad I still have my 65 GT350. Thanks for your time, work and posting......
5:35 Definitely wins Exhaust of the Year
This alone will close more than a few sales
I’ve had mine for 6 weeks and 1,800 miles I still don’t know what the radio sounds like!! It’s intoxicating every single time I drive. It pops and burbles forever when you let off the gas!!
I think the smile on your face when you “gave it the beans” was more that 2.9 my dear... but yes mustangs are great value for the performance and quality. They are also decent to work on. I can’t complain one bit
Thank you Sarah I’ve been waiting for a properly done review of the new Mach 1’s. As for the rear wing, agreed S550’s look better without in my opinion. But on the original 60’s Mach 1 the rear wing is a must. Oh and btw humidity in FL today was 82%…desert dweller. ;)
They are A/C cooled seats not just ventilated. Big difference. In a convertible on a hot day, OMG lifesaver.
I bought a new Fox body in the '80s as a construction worker. How many kids can afford one any more? Prob. time to go away.
No one can. That’s why all of these cars are going to disappear. Not just Fords.
The ones who can afford these are probably not going to buy one, if they do, it’ll sit in storage.
$60k. 🙁
Truck is in the garage. Can't wait to see what's next on that. The colour on the Mustang is stunning wish I'd gotten that on my cobra. JX
Everybody loved the F-Type exhaust when it came out. Forgetting that it had a Ford V-8 (to this day).
Source?
So miserably humid in AZ right now. Great we’re getting a monsoon season though.
My Dad had a ‘69 Mach 1- I’d love to have one of these!
Oh, I dig that color too.
It almost sounded like you got a little teary-eyed at the end
I drive cool ass cars every week (many of which out of my price range to afford) and have to give them back after, while 4 out of 5 of my cars don’t even run/drive. It’s torture!

I agree...
However I hate the thought of eventually having to replace the clutch... If I were filthy rich! I wouldn't think twice!
However Ford has that 10 speed auto down!...
Sorry no credit too GM or Chevy...
Awesome Video!
Blessings James...
I have one of these. The mirrors project a pony onto the ground. Nobody seems to mention it in their reviews.
Park any s550 next to a ‘69 Mach 1 and the shape is very similar to each other, those few years are what this car is made to look after, the fastback is almost exact in shape and curves. The curve of the hood is also similar.
I love that color but the battle ship grey is really cool as well.
Fighter jet gray
@@raysharplessjr my apologies, fighter jet gray. Lol great color
Respect to the Mustang enthusiasts, but I'm not feeling the wow factor. Can't put my finger on it. Great review as always Sarah! We love you!
Great review as always. Also, nothing like monsoon season in the desert!! At least we're seeing some decent rain this time around...
Love your Videos Sarah, never miss one! The manual in the mach one is not a Getrag, it's a Tremec TR-3160, same as in the GT-350!
Great review. I agree, I couldn’t live with myself if I owned the automatic. Nice car though!
you know your cars but the way you speak is funny and has an innocent sounding charm , i like it
It's all good until you get that 0300 misfire code(s) and it falls on it's face while driving several times. Never mind the brakes and suspension constant squeaks, you'll get used to it.
Hi Sarah. I completely love my Mustang GT here in the UK, but.. after buying a Ranger Raptor and having 4 recalls in less than a year I decided to sell it.. then the turn signal broke. 6 weeks later I still don't have it back and they cant fix it!! I'm done with Ford.
Available air conditioned, cloth seats. I wish more cars had them.
As a resident of Phoenix, AZ I have 0% interest in leather seats.

Sara, I could listen to your voice all damn day woman! The 429 was a whale of an engine...memories
Would love to see you review a 2L Caterham.
Probably the most entertaining ,factual review I’ve seen … My Grabber yellow Mach 1 will be built early December …Tremec 6 speed btw
