Just bought a 392 shaker. This is the most perfect car for cruising long distance or straight up blasting from a stop light. Definitely a collectors car in the future.
Mopar FTW! Love the sound of a Hemi! And yes, some more American muscle would be awesome to see. (of course some of those cars may not be super easy to get a hold of in your location, but whatever you can grab is fine!) :)
Actually, and I'm not sure how public knowledge this is but mopar got most of the idea of the hemi from ford. The chamber design and valve placement came from ford several years ahead of chrysler, but chrysler did do their own changes to make the idea work with their engines and used it for marketing.

Thank you Max for this review. It's a great budget muscle car. My preference will be an SRT Durango with the same engine, which still can be purchased in the US. As of now, Hellcats are no longer available. They should be back in 2023 for one year only. I took one for a spin but only to 215 km/h due to heavy traffic. To listen to engine is pure delight but decided to wait for a Hellcat instead.
DODGE DEMON, I bet evey1 would enjoy to see a POV video of the strongest v8 ever built. Amazing sound, also, amazing acceleration, you might also spin it a little. Great video, anyways
70's muscle car footage on the Autobahn would be horrendous for your audience. Most did ~120mph (193kmh). Horrible aerodynamics, short gearing, and 4-speed manual (3-speed auto) transmission.
i'd actually prefer the ScatPak over the HellCat...partly the cost per pound, and also the supercharger whine is a layer of complexity and noise I don't need...280 kmh is fast enough for me. At 8:50 when you mention how the sensitive throttle tuning from a stand still makes you "the a$$hole" every time, I completely agree!! I loved my 2015 ScatPack Challenger, it was a beast and a fantastic everyday driver, but I wished there was a button that would tame the throttle response when you just want a calm and casual drive in stop and go traffic. I got around this by putting it in manual mode and bumping it into second gear. A button with an a$$hole graphic with a slash through it to lock out second gear would have been nice, and SOOOO Dodge!!!! I also appreciate that you understand that these cars are all about FUN.
I almost cried laughing at how much I enjoyed your, review. I never saw a review before on this car or perspective. Thanks so much. Peace from Portland Oregon USA
Im seriously considering getting gt awd for daily driving - i love muscle and retro cars. And we have a crazy winter and boiling hot summer in my country
If you do get it just letting you know that if the weather goes slushy to freezing overnight then the best way to unstuck the rear wheels because of ice is to put it in reverse and go back a few inches and you'll hear the ice break and the wheel will be free...these are great cars but personally I'd supercharge the awd model...I find the v6 a little anemic but then again I'm used to the torque of a v8
This is the perfect challenger IMO. Best traction available (square 305 w/ new dampers) useable power almost 500hp and torque at 2000rpm or at any gear. I can’t even use a hellcat cuz there’s nowhere to drive fast in the Midwest. That won’t send u to jail. Also isn’t awful,on gas I’m serious the hellcat gets 9mpg in my town the scat bout 50% better

Those aren't air intakes on the scat pack. They look like it, but they're closed off at the back of the tunnel. They are intakes on the hellcat and above though.
I bought one here in sweden 3 days ago, and man this car iis sick. The sound and the power is amazing. I cant imagine how the hellcat feels haha. But am satisfied eveytime i drive this beast. Launch control is fun 😅😅
Why the F*** can't every modern car manufacturer make there digital speedometer as fast and responsive as this one. It's so satisfying to see the numbers fly as you accelerate.
Love the channel. Great to see American cars on the Autobahn at their limit. If we had a section of no speed limit in the USA it would be strewn with bent metal and blood. Pushed my rental M-B E Class diesel estate in Germany 14 years ago t0 140 mph with my in-laws in the back seat. They didn't have a clue:). Such fun. That would land you in jail here in California.
Clearly more muscle cars please!I d love to see a Corvette C7 Z06 because I know you ll surely have a blast with it. It might be really heavier than my Mustang GT because I can get to 260 way more quickly 🤔 There is really a problem in Europe with cars price. 40K USD and you get a V8 492 HP and in Europe you get a Renault 1.6 liter LOL
You get a Renault 1.6 for 40k which does from 0 to 100 around 50 seconds ... No one measure them for 100-200 because it takes infinity to reach and you will run out of fuel faster 😂
@@dreamcrusher112 Merica is great for freedom, cars, gas being not expensive (here it s 1.85 per liter of gas), almost taxes free ( I paid 10K euro for my 2020 Mustang GT just to have the right to put it on the road, and then 2500 euro every year for instance), I dont even mention all taxes around property, waste management, sewer maintenance, car insurance being very expensive...etc, aviation friendly, lot of space, in general a real estate market being less expensive, 2nd amendment (it s crazy here in belgium to have the right to keep weapons at home: 10 shooting session minimum per year, 30 ammos shoot per session, subscription to the federation every year circa 200 euros, medical check up and criminal record extract every year for federation license renewal)...not so good for medical stuff though which is the main hurdle for me to move in the US but apart of that I d be happy to live there 😁
I personally believe this specific vehicle to be the epitome of American muscle. Highest displacement of the lot, looks the part still, has retained more muscle vs the sportier camaro and mustang, and it’s power is made through sheer displacement, not forced induction. And with the lower power figure you can actually use it without constantly being in go to jail territory, which is a plus. And with the widebody, it not only looks killer, but the wider tires inspire much more confidence in the cars handling abilities.
I have the Tored scatpack.....0 to 60 is great....but it really shines as u wind it up. its a heavy cruiser car. 40-70MPH was almost instant it will set u back in ur seat
So I am seriously considering this exact car and I am going to be looking into it tomorrow. This was an awesome video. So nice to see a European that likes a Dodge :) Great great video. Even if I weren't interested in the car this would have been entertaining.

Great Guys, please do more of them. Maybe Challenger with manual gearbox? Yeah, that would be something, with all that groul sound, backfires. Please check mine in the mean time, You will not be dissapointed.
this is my daily, mine is sublime green. the gas pedal sensitivity is changed with the driving modes. it is similar to a pedal commander, but it can't be individually changed. in auto mode the pedal is pretty relaxed, but in track mode the pedal is super sensitive. sport mode is a good balance for most driving. track mode will make you drive like an asshole- on accident!
I have the same feature on my VW Golf mk7. Relax gas pedal is in normal mode, sensitive one - in sport mode. It seems to be the same thing in all modern cars with a mode selection function

I don't actually understand why they need those autobahns LOL. Personally, I call those European autobahns as Autobahns to the neighborhood 😄
i bought one of these a week ago because of your review, everything you said is right, and i love it
needs to be boosted however
RT for me is Ray Tracing, better reflections on the paint.
Daaaamn this would be one of my biggest dreams to drive a charger or a challenger with V8. Unbelievable cars
Same!!!
@@thomashumphreycreative I’m here to tell u it’s all u dream about to drive
You’ll def conquer that dream💯
I was lucky enough to own one of these. It was a manual, and a Shaker. They are amazingly fun cars. Beautiful sounding too.
How was the manual for you? I've heard bad things about them for the Challenger. Thinking about getting a Scat Pack this spring before they discontinue them.
@@jeffjackson9679 It had 8k miles on it and would refuse to go into 2nd nearly half the time. Would have to pull at it quite hard and it would clunk in eventually. Was under warranty, just never had had it looked at. Probably just a fluke, otherwise no issues.
@@jeffjackson9679 still have a few years. After that, all electric, just like Jaguar.
@@camree_trdee6628 I have a 2010 R/T with the 6 speed. It has issues as well. not sure how they keep messing them up, it's supposed to be a good transmission
@@camree_trdee6628 there’s nothing wrong with your transmission, it’s a feature that purposely skips second and goes into 4th to keep gas mileage high. You should understand your car before buying it. All manual 392s and hellcats have the same thing. Nothing was wrong with your car.
Just bought a 392 shaker. This is the most perfect car for cruising long distance or straight up blasting from a stop light. Definitely a collectors car in the future.
This car is freaking cool. You have to love it
first time i heard you speak!! one of my most favorite videos of yours, i love challengers... watching from Ghana
Mopar FTW! Love the sound of a Hemi!
And yes, some more American muscle would be awesome to see. (of course some of those cars may not be super easy to get a hold of in your location, but whatever you can grab is fine!) :)
Mopar or no car
Mopar or no car!
Actually, and I'm not sure how public knowledge this is but mopar got most of the idea of the hemi from ford. The chamber design and valve placement came from ford several years ahead of chrysler, but chrysler did do their own changes to make the idea work with their engines and used it for marketing.
@@Punk-Jw yes in 39 when they was building for rolls Royce aircraft. Also again in 43 I think. I love my Mopar but as a car enthusiasts, I love the hobby of working on engines.
the challenger looks so good
"Dodge, the brotherhood of muscle"
I want the 392 Jeep Wrangler. I know it is not as fast but for those of us in north winter hellscape bad bad land, it is nice to have the 4x4 and still have some fun.
I love my scatpack here in Boulder, Colorado. The most fun you can have is burnouts, donuts, and drifting the rear end around corners.
165mph and you still have another gear to go. What a ride
I'm glad you are enjoying yourself. North American muscle car!
😮😮 it was the best video of challenger hellcat that I have ever watched 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bring more of American Muscle cars , big thanks for an awesome vid !
Not enough people drive these in Europe but too many people drive them in the US
Reminds me when I was stationed in Germany in the 80s and I used to drive my BMW 2002 and we would struggle to get it to 195 km/h... If I'm reading the gauges right he got up at 250 pretty quickly. Sounds weird to hear an American V8 on the Autobahn, but definitely cool
Kph not mph so more like 160-165 mph and not 250 mph just for clarification sir!
I got my Scat up to 265 kph on the autobahn traveling back home from Bavaria. Simply beautiful. I love being here in Germany with my Scat. ❤❤❤
You've got REALLY good taste in cars! I just bought a beautiful Scat Pack Challenger.
I love my “speed boat”! You nailed this review. The pros n the cons. No regrets buying this one
DODGE DEMON, I bet evey1 would enjoy to see a POV video of the strongest v8 ever built.
Amazing sound, also, amazing acceleration, you might also spin it a little.
Great video, anyways
Love muscle cars. Next time one from the 70s. It would be amazing.
70's muscle car footage on the Autobahn would be horrendous for your audience. Most did ~120mph (193kmh). Horrible aerodynamics, short gearing, and 4-speed manual (3-speed auto) transmission.
Hemi Superbird or Daytona then.
All the grunt and aero you could want.
i'd actually prefer the ScatPak over the HellCat...partly the cost per pound, and also the supercharger whine is a layer of complexity and noise I don't need...280 kmh is fast enough for me. I have a Plum Crazy Charger R/T with the smaller 5.7, and it's a great around town car, but would like to trade up to the 6.4
Also hellcat don't come in manual transmission
@@DPelicanGamingyes they do
Mopar is beginning to become what BMW used to be. The brand that is passionate about the joy and fun of driving.
M2 CS and M5CS still true to their core.
@@Areku06 😂🤣 sure... even as a bmw guy I beg to differ
@@Areku06 brother once you drive this 392 challenger you will have a permanent smile on your face...if you ever get the chance drive the 6 speed manual model with the widebody...a BMW may have more prestige and heritage but this car will leave you permanently smiling...its badassery on wheels
@@monikhushalpuri I do like chargers with scat pack. But for the price I think would get f80 m3 or used m5. Challengers hold their value well and little overpriced on used market. I got family now so used X5m perfect all around vehicle that’s also fun. I know their different cars but currently best all around M cars are X3M and X5M
@@Areku06 oh definitely, considering family I'd go with with the X5M as well, buddy of mine has an m4 gts and it's a great car but the automatic doesn't add much to it, told him he should've gotten the manual, I personally love the naturally aspirated M cars, those you cannot beat just very fun to drive
It's my twin. Same paint job and same spoiler, wide body ect. Very nice comfy car.
Excellent review, well done. Liked the fact that you converted the American 485 sae horsepower to European 492 din horsepower. It's a shame Europe taxes cars based on displacement.
More muscle cars!
I have a 2020 Widebody Scat Chally...octane red....they have a eco mode for city driving so ya don't peel out all the time..lol...it is so much fun to drive and I do not see very many widebodys out on the road...it gets a lot of looks and thumbs up...oh and the mustangs and camaros rev at me alot.
The sensitive pedal is so real, I used to own a grand caravan and even the pedal in that is super sensitive
Watched all of your challenger vlogs and I think you had the most fun with the scat ❤
Thank you for doing the challenger justice in your review
It's always refreshing to see how much Europeans(particularly Germans and Italians)appreciate American muscle, 💪given that many on our side of the world are not as likely to do the same. 😉
They have their place in the world.
I'm amazed how fast that tractor was, he left you for dead at the first junction.
Big diesel and all the grip in the world haha
@@Spacken3160 it is slow af my guy
@@M3E92V8 hey a smart bmw guy, thank god you told me tractors are alow i didnt know that, thought it would win in a drag race:(

The tractor went 70 mph down the road haha
Very cool to see these American cars being driven (legally) the way they were meant to…. Fast! Love these autobahn videos :)
Needs the shakedown and the best one ever made
At 8:50 when you mention how the sensitive throttle tuning from a stand still makes you "the a$$hole" every time, I completely agree!!
Peace from Portland Oregon USA
if i watch this....i can image you become an addict pretty fast.....
The one’s who have disliked this video are tiktok jdm fanboys .. the ones who have never driven a JDM but still talk about horsepower and torque
Love the dodgers challengers is amazing 🔥❤️
Glad I found this vid. Thanks for making it. It will definitely help curb the urge to drive mine too fast!
I love these cars, they aren't as fast or sophisticated as euro cars but something so loveable about muscle cars
Muscle cars are just their to have fun and male jokes about the small german engines.
Amazing video! I thought it was me driving the wheel. Speechless. !!!
True muscle car. 💪
Now, please the Original 1970 Dodge Challenger ✌️💯
This is the perfect challenger IMO. Best traction available (square 305 w/ new dampers) useable power almost 500hp and torque at 2000rpm or at any gear. I can’t even use a hellcat cuz there’s nowhere to drive fast in the Midwest. That won’t send u to jail. Also isn’t awful,on gas I’m serious the hellcat gets 9mpg in my town the scat bout 50% better
Good comment. I weighed out the scatpack vs hellcat here in the Midwest. Went with the scat cause it's enough for the road. It's plenty on the highway
Hellcat in town, make arround 13-15 MPG with no problems... 9 mpg you are flooring in every traffic light?
have a 2021 smoke show Challenger love it!! had a 2016 Hellcat as well..these cars are both awesome and a great time to drive ill be having another soon..maybe a jailbreak next time..lol LOVE THESE CARS!!!
Those aren't air intakes on the scat pack. They look like it, but they're closed off at the back of the tunnel. They are intakes on the hellcat and above though.
I got my shaker scat pack challenger and I love it!! It’s a beast!!
More american cars on autobahn 🥰❤️🇺🇸
My viper 700r
Clearly more muscle cars please!I d love to see a Corvette C7 Z06 because I know you ll surely have a blast with it.
It might be really heavier than my Mustang GT because I can get to 260 way more quickly 🤔
There is really a problem in Europe with cars price.
@@Ruffus1338 fully agree rofl! Europe sucks...I wish I was living in the US!
@@StefBelgium America is cool for cars, not much else lol. But no hot hatches :(
@@dreamcrusher112 Merica is great for freedom, cars, gas being not expensive (here it s 1.85 per liter of gas), almost taxes free ( I paid 10K euro for my 2020 Mustang GT just to have the right to put it on the road, and then 2500 euro every year for instance), I dont even mention all taxes around property, waste management, sewer maintenance, car insurance being very expensive...etc, aviation friendly, lot of space, in general a real estate market being less expensive, 2nd amendment (it s crazy here in belgium to have the right to keep weapons at home: 10 shooting session minimum per year, 30 ammos shoot per session, subscription to the federation every year circa 200 euros, medical check up and criminal record extract every year for federation license renewal)...not so good for medical stuff though which is the main hurdle for me to move in the US but apart of that I d be happy to live there 😁
Much heavier than your Mustang. Mustang is about 3850lbs, while Challenger is about 4250lbs. 400lbs and worse Aero is gonna slow it down.
I wish I could afford one. The Challenger is the coolest car on the planet.
Aaah jeez that exhaust sound
1) Buy a 2018 Challenger Hellcat Widebody
2) Buy Scat Pack badges
3) Replace Hellcat Badges with Scat Pack badges
Bam, instant sleeper.
What about the Supercharger noise in higher RPMs
I personally believe this specific vehicle to be the epitome of American muscle. Highest displacement of the lot, looks the part still, has retained more muscle vs the sportier camaro and mustang, and it’s power is made through sheer displacement, not forced induction. And with the lower power figure you can actually use it without constantly being in go to jail territory, which is a plus. And with the widebody, it not only looks killer, but the wider tires inspire much more confidence in the cars handling abilities.
YES! We want to see more american muscle cars!
I have the Tored scatpack.....0 to 60 is great....but it really shines as u wind it up. its a heavy cruiser car. 40-70MPH was almost instant it will set u back in ur seat
Yeah everytime I leave a stop light everybody thinks I'm trying to race, in my mind I'm just easing into it.
Man, we need roads like this in America...
So I am seriously considering this exact car and I am going to be looking into it tomorrow. This was an awesome video. So nice to see a European that likes a Dodge :) Great great video. Even if I weren't interested in the car this would have been entertaining.
Ok, I bought one today. Taking delivery tomorrow. This is partly your fault :)
Really cool, as always! I like your "not very fluid" English that helps me to understand every word you say (I'm from Argentina), hahahaha!
Any chance of a Viper ACR? I'd looove to hear your impressions on that B E A S T of a car!
The ACR is extremely rare in Europe.
Por lo menos un Viper 8.4 sea GT o T/A seria terrible... El ACR en autobahn no creo que supere los 270 km/h.

this is how you review a car and test its speed 👍🏽👍🏽
13:10, That is the reaction you would expect seeing a black Challenger flying up behind you in Germany lol
this is my daily, mine is sublime green. the gas pedal sensitivity is changed with the driving modes. it is similar to a pedal commander, but it can't be individually changed. in auto mode the pedal is pretty relaxed, but in track mode the pedal is super sensitive. sport mode is a good balance for most driving. track mode will make you drive like an asshole- on accident!
I've got a sublime green rt plus, have had it for 5 days. Still learning how to drive it
I have the same feature on my VW Golf mk7. Relax gas pedal is in normal mode, sensitive one - in sport mode. It seems to be the same thing in all modern cars with a mode selection function
Nice run. Would love to see it run with basic upgrades
