Muscle cars don't get any more traditional than a #Dodge #Challenger. With horsepower ranging from a rental car grade 300 ponies, all the way up to the insane 797 from the Hellcat Redeye, there is simply a Challenger for everyone. Those of you looking to stay in the middle should consider the #ScatPack with its 392 cubic inch N/A V8 with 485 ponies. Now offered in the $6,000 wide body package, it represents the goldilocks of the Challenger lineup.
When he said Scat Pack red eye I immediately went to the comments
Frrr😂😂🤦🏽♂️
😂😂😂😂😂 bro same
Lmao cause he fucked up lol
😂
😂😂😂
Somewhere in the RUclips galaxy there is a cool guy with a leather jacket reviewing a hybrid civc with 108hp
😂😂😂😂
As a 2019 plum crazy scat pack owner, I love my "fat pig" !
As the name implies,a muscle car is not a 'fat pig.'
She's a steroid-pumped,muscle-bound beast suffering from a serious case of 'roid-rage.
Some people simply don't understand that.
Best colour that is!
@@blairbrown4812 I guess Arnold was a fat pig, too!
I agree as an owner of a 2019 destroyer grey widebody scatpack I will gladly enjoy my fat pig. This guy seriously lmao! How about muscle beast. I think you have it messed up haha. All your 100 laughs tells the story about this car 👍
Plum Crazy Scat Pack... nice
“Door is too heavy” grow a set of balls
Jacob P my first thought ✋🏼😂
The doors are fucking perfect. I’ve owned an accord coupe, Infiniti G35 coupe, and my Wrangler is a two door. This one by far has the best door weight and balance.
Jajajaja , yes , this guy is so gay.
Lol. Challenger is too big , challenger interior is not all that. These people need to go get a Prius.
Brian Taylor
You tried and failed.
Lmao right
I really like your reviews but I have to disagree that the Challenger is not a “pig” but rather a true muscle car. The Scat Pack is so much fun and is the best bang for your buck. I’m not a fan of the Widebody but that’s just my personal preference. Cheers.
You've never driven an SS 1le if you think the scat is the best bang for your buck
John B a challenger is way more comfortable than a camaro. My brother has a zl1 and my cousin has a hellcat. The camaro is a monster for track but it’s a little uncomfortable as a daily. The challengers has more space but it’s still good for track days not as good as the camaro but it still goes around a track without a problem.
@@johnb3231 I owned a Camaro SS and loved the car other than the fact that it was like being in a submarine, just horrible visibility. Love my new Challenger 1320 a lot more...
Any car people notice that he said "scatpack redeye" and thought, he don't know anything about cars.🤣
I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed
I was looking for this comment thinking "why isnt anybody saying this?"
David Garcia I have been looking for this comment 😂😂😂
I was just scrolling to see if anyone else had noticed.
Thinking the same exact thing. 😂
The 392 Scatpack Widebody is probably the best bang for the buck in muscle cars. It has more useable power, IMO.
Corvette grand national (or Z06 if u really want to spend); even a used one is a better buy than a challenger still using the same old tired Mercedes platform. I'll bet Daimler was only too happy to get away from Cry sler. The biggest fucking fiasco ever conceived.
I agree with you.
nah, Camaro SS 1LE
What’s the difference between a 392 scat pack and a regular scat pack?
In Fourteen years, I have rarely responded to a RUclips videos until now. I currently own several Dodge vehicles, among them a 2015 Challenger Hellcat, a 2019 Challenger Shaker, a 2017 RAM and a 2017 Dodge Dart. All the vehicles are incredible values and well thought out. I also consider myself an avid fan of ALL Vehicles, and I would never use words or phrases like "Fat Pig" "Fat Americans" and "Pathetic Little Side Mirrors" or my favorite "Smells of the Cheapness of FCA." WHO ARE YOU? The smell of a new car is awesome in my opinion. The Interior of all my Dodge vehicles are well thought out and comfortable. You said you were privileged to have the pleasure to review and drive this vehicle. I would say respect the Brand, and think about how your review represents you and the products you speak of. Just something to consider moving forward. My journey with Dodge started with a 2013 Challenger V6 that I rented on a drive to Vegas. You said that was the "one you don't want". Obviously, the base model V6 was such a pleasure for me that I am now a FCA/Dodge fan! I recently sold my Billet Silver Challenger V6 (loved it) for a 2019 Shaker (Plum Crazy). The incredible thing about the Challenger is there is a version for everyone! I WOULD NEVER USE THE WORD "CHEAP" to describe ANY of the Vehicles I currently drive. You get great value for the dollar you spend with Dodge. I personally think your review was disrespectful to the Brand, and I would appreciate if you would re-think your words next time. I respect your review but I completely disagree with your presentation. Thanks for the Post!
This gen challenger with the WideBody is easily the best looking of all the modern muscle cars.
This is not something I would buy, but it is truly a unique car. There really is nothing else like it in the world. Mustang and Camaro are not true muscle cars anymore and therefore not really competition for this beast. Hats off to FCA for having the moxy to build something like this.
Ahh NA V8, that low end grunt from the 6.4 is just fantastic. Sure its a heavy car and not as nimble as the Mustang and Camaro but from personal experience the sound of the engine just makes you forget all the negative:)
@RS1 , Then you'd best stick with driving vans.
U look so tiny next to it wth xD
From all of those rear seat tests, he's 5'7"
@@SonyEnthusiast still, im talking more about the presence it has and how it can intimidate you...
That's what she said
Shadow 144 wryyyyyyyyy
thats what i said!
Rented the hellcat a few months back. Totally usable power. Never had any issues.
Bun-n-cheese nitto 555r on the hellcat and she’s good to go
The timing on this review is amusing to me. I actually picked up a Dodge Challenger RT (non Scat Pack) base (so cloth seats) rental at an Avis on the same day this review came out. What I found MOST shocking was how much fun it was to drive given it is the slowest V8 Challenger in their lineup. It NEVER felt slow, the exhaust (even with the smallest displacement HEMI) ALWAYS announced its presence and when the area I was visiting got a bunch of rain dumped on it, the car handled SHOCKINGLY well for its size and being rear wheel drive. I hope you review the regular Challenger RT one day as my week of renting it told me that the Challenger RT is IMO the most underrated in their Challenger lineup right now given how much it is overshadowed by both the Scat Pack and the Hellcat.
An extra 113hp tends to have an "overshadowing" effect. I had an '09 Challenger R/T with the 5.7L in it. It was a decent performing car. I now have a '19 Challenger Scat Pack 392. There's a very very major difference between them..... I'm talking night and day.
Puts a smile on my face every time I drive her hard. Best bang for the buck IMO and I have owned many muscle cars in my life. Extra 25-30 grand for the Hellcat was not worth it for me because I can barley use the 485hp in my area.
Perfect amount of NA power* i think its the best muscle car ever made.
Prius driver reviewing a Muscle Car. What a sissy.
Actually a Porsche cayman GTS driver
@@bryanmiranda1061 Tesla model 3*
Right ?
Lol so many “fat” and “skinny” comments 🤷🏼♂️
That's a pretty "Phat" statement!. 😉😉😂😂😂😂😂
These comments are, easily, the most pointlessly hostile I've ever seen on any Redline vid. Douche fans? (Sorry, autocorrect) Dodge fans? Explains a LOT of what I see on the road everyday...
I’m fat america Hispanic 🤨
I'm a ford guy buy scat pack is growing on me, might be slower than the 18 and up gt's but it looks like a certified beauty.
I like it heavy. It's part of her unique character and charm
Lol this dude said a hellcat is scary. I'm dying 😂😂😂😂😂
Candy Valadez my dad has a supercharged V8 Chevy nova which has around 650HP and I scared shitless when he floors it, what about a hellcat that has 760HP?
You either don’t have a car or have a car with less than 200HP, you know nothing about driving.
I love the car especially that blue paint. I would get this one but with the black stripes on it too.
At 0:16 he said "too much power to be used on the streets" what guy says that
when you put the pedal down, your reaction was enough for me on this review
IMO, don’t see the Camaro and Mustang as muscle cars they have become true sports cars. 🤔
They are pony cars
If they have a back seat they are still considered muscle cars
John B not really, your answer is broad
John B many sports cars have back seats.
Dodge is getting money worth on the old S/E class chassis. Also out all sports car, challenge has a real usable back seat. I only wish the AWD would be available like in the past
Emanuele Favuzza At least in the US you can get AWD with the GT model, but only with the V6.
Aight I see you Solluminati
So shoulda got a hellcat
Kameronismyname he doesn’t want materialistic things
I appreciate your review and I appreciate your thoughts and opinions. I personally love this car and if I bought any new car right now I think this would be the car to get. Of course it's not going to replace my daily driver accord, but it would be great for weekends!
Fatter Americans!?!? Perhaps you drive a VW Jetta or Honda Civic? You know, for the “ Skinny Foreigners “ that wanna live in the U.S.
I would have zero interest in a all wheel drive redeye ,hellcat, scatpack any of them ..although Yes it's an amazing launch, but that's where it ends...Theres nothing like a muscle car, nothing like being able to roast the tires at 30 -40-50 ...I guess it's the newer generation, I'm old school, lots of power shut traction control off....Also Its heavier because it is a bigger more useable car,I dont get when I hear take off more weight ...I like Mustangs I like camaros ,and vettes, but none of them are useable as the challenger....
It can be useable without weighing that much. ~4000lbs would be an acceptable weight.
On the charger awd R/T you can switch from rwd to awd whenever you want
His knee pops at 1:55 when he bends down lol
Y'all are so petty lmfao
His elbow pops when he tries to close the "heavy" door.
😂😂😂😂😂
Hey my knee pops too lol
The inside of my scat pack smells sexy as can be. He does not know what he is talking about.
Also the interrior is beautiful spacious and confortable. The back seats are georgous.
I can fit 3 of my kids in the back very comfortably.
I still enjoyed the review. Thumbs up
Great Car . Pretty ok review but too critical Almost 500 hp, a good comfortable ride and still looks sweet in that color LAST MUSCLE car with a real back seat. Right on !
The backseat room has maybe 2 inches on a mustang ...
i love hearing non mopar fanboys point of view on our cars. good review
Not usually a fan of the challenger but in this particular spec I’m floored. Looks absolutely stunning.
You just can't handle the power so you asked for less!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Now just imagine the kind of women he's looking to hook up with!. 😉😉😂😂😂😂
You said you weren't impressed by the interior but for us guys over 6' and +200 lbs the interior fits real nice.( found I don't fit in a corvette, and I am not fat)
I love this yellow-eyed buff blue brick
Mustang and camaro has definitely strayed from its retro look a bit but in every other way, they are nicer. I'm struggling to decide what to get next spring.
The 6 speed manual does not have cylinder deactivation - a bonus for me!
Man that felt lined glove box box and that heavy door is pretty bonkersly ridiculous!! Thanks for confirming that the Scat Pack Redeye's are really smelly inside...
People complaining about the weight of the challenger. Just means it puts the power down better.
I get what you're trying to say...but no. Doesnt work that way in this case.
Every time a lottery drawing comes up, redline reviews uploads a video on the dodge challenger and i pray i win so i can buy one, and every time, i get the wrong damn numbers so the next day i get on my bicycle and go "vroom vroom" and pedal until the chain pops. (practicing for when i actually do win) LMAO
I admit I laughed when he said "that's good if you like that traditional muscle car fear" before correcting to "feel"
Yeah, a real Freudian slip there. This car scared him out of his panties.
He should review Toyota prius and that’s it.
no way; not even a golf cart.
Yeah! He's a mean poopy head!!
0:26 challenger scat pack red eye? I thought the red eye was only available for the 2019 srt hellcat....
The Challenger in all it's forms, is a true American muscle car. Thus it should be reviewed by someone who understands that fact and, who knows what a muscle car is. Instead you give the keys to a nit picking little girly man who should be reviewing a Prius and explaining how that type of car will keep the planet from burning up in 300 years.
J P damn straight sir👍
I could not have said it better 👍🏻
Challenger is the only two door American muscle that can actually fit two adults in the back seat and has a large enough trunk space. It is the best practical muscle car in the market.
It compromises in handling due to all the space and weight but you don’t buy a challenger to take on curvy roads, you buy it to enjoy the cruising and straight line pulls.
There are ways to make this car handle but than you will loose the ride quality with really stiff suspension components.
This is one design that ALWAYS causes me to just stare when one drives by. My brother bought one 2 years ago and I really enjoyed driving his R/T. My GTO blows it into the weeds, but man it just looks great, sounds great, huge trunk, very comfortable interior. Would I own one? If I could make room in my garage, yes.
@,Robert D. No stock GTO ever broke 14 seconds nor 140 mph WOT, except in your dreams? A scat Pack will run circles around any stock GTO and get to town five minutes before the slug 400 CU Poncho.
@@richardlong8014 You must be completely blind and possibly quite ignorant. Look at my profile pic.
I prefer the T/A model for its looks. For $43,000 fully load T/A
I love my TA 392 ... very unique
Dodge is doing a good job offering usable performance for the price of a nice car, not the price of a Ferrari. Chevy has an LS7 but they don't put it in a car. They have a Camaro but the visibility, the trunk, and the back seat are all poor. It looks like Dodge is taking the lead in the traditional muscle car market. Sales should reflect this monopoly position.
Martin Mdl Camaro is mostly for the track but the challenger is just a drag car do it’s really comparing apples to oranges .
The Ford Mustang GT is the best bang for your buck and you don't need to pay gas guzzler tax on it. It is also the cheapest muscle car to insure.
@@atx-cvpi_99 , Its still just a Mustang. Some of us simply have higher standards. To each their own, buddy.
The window is not one touch up due to a safety feature for some reason. Probably because the window is so large. It's not because it was a cost cut. Great review my friend.
Did I hear him say " scat pack red-eye"?
Yes
I've decided to hire this car for a California road trip because I love it and thought when else would I get a chance to test drive it. However, I'm worried that it will be too big, and difficult to drive and worried I'll run out of fuel in the desert because it burns through so much gas. I'm also from England where we drive small, sensible cars so worried it will just be too over the top for me. Advice and opinions welcome thanks!
A stock 392 rated at 485 flywheel is in the neighborhood of 405hp at the tires
damn you really need to clean your camera lens...
Thanks for the review, I think some people confuse opinions with bias. Regardless of that thanks if I want a different review I’ll go watch other reviewers. I also just picked up my Scat pack wide body, 54,000 with 15,000 down.
I pulled over to watch this 😁
Now that's dedication 😅
mayrapatinyo lol at least you pulled over
thank you for your safe driving
Great decision
@Supreme Leader Spock what lol
The cheapness (manual recliner, smell of cheapness, etc.) is on purpose for the Scat Packs. They are made to have some SRT features, but not all of them. That’s to keep costs down but at the same time, to keep the SRT trims on a higher standard.
I was around in the 70’s and the car to have was the Barracuda and only people who couldn’t get a Cuda were stuck with a Challenger. This design of it is so old and tired!
At 6:45 does he say the vehicle is pretty old? Thought it was a 2019 new car review.
fbody984life he meant the platform of the car is old
The small overlap crash test, where they had to detach the test dummies' feet in order to get it out of the car, is just one of many reasons why it is past time to redesign / re-engineer this car.
Jazmine Thomas fuck feet anyway
The seats in my scat pack are perfect! Maybe a normal sized man should be test driving a man sized vehicle not a 10 year old...
Someone needs to tell dodge to make that little back window capable of being rolled down. That shit would look badass like an old school camaro.
Everytime he puts the pedel to the metal he has that evil villain laugh...i want one now😂
The wider fender in the front doesnt seem to flow on the car but the rear wide fender does. Now the wheels look too small. Lol
Why does every word coming out of his mouth sound douchey? "it smells like a rental" - one of 189 different things he said that made me realize a repo-team needs to be dispatched to collect his man card, and brand him.
I just did an SXT. Really want to drive the whole lineup, R/t, scat pack, 392 hemi, hellcat, redeye, then the demon. See how they compare to each other.
Seriously I think you missed the whole point and what I mean is retro. If you want a sports car go buy one. I recently bought the scat pack widebody and I absolutely love it. Not trying to be a jerk but maybe your not built for American muscle, never heard anyone complain so much and made me wonder if a Toyota would be better for you. Every time I get in this car I can't stop smiling I love it and found the plum crazy for about $42,500 no plus package but I am sooo happy and she handles great don't let him tell you any different. I'm a happy man. Dude you should buy a Prius.
I love the 2019 Dodge Challenger, I can't wait to see the 2020 Dodge Challenger! I can't wait for your next video.
Did he say scat pack “ red eye “ ?
Ight ima head out .
Unlike small and nimble pony cars, this is a muscle car-- it's large, imposing, and will turn more heads than a gtr
0riginal _Panda_Child shiiiiiiiiiiit it doesn’t have the star power of a gtr son.
Challengers are everywhere though.
@@shifted1978 GTRs are unique.....but also somewhat ugly.
Having watched this whole wretched review, you would LOVE a 97 civic with an ebay turbo and red seat covers.
"the wider frame fatter americans" LOL.
I guess the Scat Pack "Wide Body" is the sensible choice.....
I see more people having fun in these cars then I do Mustangs and Camaros combined! They drive the hell out of these cars in Metro Detroit area, it is one of only two true muscle cars that even exists today, maro's and stang's are Pony cars.
New drinking game. Every time he smacks his gums gotta take a shot!
you had one job : SCAT PACK RED EYE
people hating about how critical he is, if you need someone to convince you to get the car then maybe look at what you’re getting
Don't like that they built this.. it's already so hard to tell if a dodge is a base model, hellcat, scat pack, demon...
literally look at the badge lol
@@CarsOfPennsylvania pretty sad when you have to look at a tiny badge to know a 50k dollar difference
@@neverstoppulling5169 I disagree. not every car has to scream "I spent exactly $90,000 on this car". Thats why people buy sleepers (not that a bright blue challenger is a sleeper at all)
So many models , when your driving by you won’t be able to see the badge my guy. Dodge definitely needs some new body styles .
@Fast Moneyy
The average individual isn't a car enthusiast, so most people will only be able to determine the differences in trim levels by the exterior appearance.
So nice they gave us more interior space on the inside I hate when they add more interior on the outside smh
To be honest I am not a fan of those fender flares on this car. Also it sucks that there is no shaker package option. I would stick with the regular 392 Scatpack, throw on the dynamics and shaker package.
God I love everything about this car it's just awesome
Scat Back Redeye? Poser! Beautiful color and hated to not have considered getting that. I ended up buying the 1320 because rims are hard to find for the wide body.
Like the NEW Logo & Graphics for Redline Reviews!
My dad has a demon and I drive it, if that scatpack is too much hp for you bud idk what to say cause the demon is stupid fast compared to the scat. We don't even use the black key except one time and thought "No, not again after using the red key" XD Also I feel like he's the perfect guy for reviewing common cars and did he say "ScatPack RedEye"?? Or is it just me?
Nice video, Sofyan. I am looking forward to a new platform for this car.
Dude You talk way too much how is your Honda Civic runnning
Amazing video! Which one will you recommend rt scat pack widebody manual or m2 competition manual?
God damn that B pillar is as big as an aircraft runway, but so is the Engine ;)
You sound like you need to stick to your BMW 🤷♂️
3:33. Glad to know it has more interior on the inside.
Please stop hipstering the damn car. The Challenger wasn't intended for sissies or people who question their positions in life....
You can build a 2019 Challenger for like ever dude
Adam Johnson yep... lots of options!!!

6:00 where did you hide the pillow for the seat?
I just want to know where all the extra weight is for 4500 pounds on the challenger while the corvette has a 6.2 v8 as well and weighs 3200 pounds

“Smells like a rental car in here”.

I just crossed the Challenger off my list because the backup camera is grainy. Give me a break.
To be honest with you guys, I learned how to drive in a Camaro RS with a good tune. And I can definitely guarantee, starting to drive in difficult cars actually help you in the long run.
Hell, I say learn how to drive in a truck 😂 you won't regret it!
