I felt like a clumsy tight wobbly disaster. I did so bad I considered starting over but I do yoga at 12:30-1:00 am ish. . However. When I did the forward fold and grabbed around my calves I am comfortable with my “yoga feet kid toes”. And with leaning and rocking in forward fold I looked Up at my rear end in the fold and I could see past my rear through and up at the ceiling through my legs. I was sooooo proud of myself. 30 days has upped my flexibility s much and I’m super comfortable spinning into side plank and sweeping my leg. Todays video the next one I stayed ON MY MAT
I really enjoyed this split practice...i have been practicing for 3yrs and I agaun finally feel confident to do you split yoga flow!!! Thank for an amazing work out and stretch!😊

( 10/2024- I used the comments as a journal ( because the videos are older) before I got a second journal for actual yoga progress. I think it’s fun to reply to myself over the course of the year… sorry for the big comments 😬) Oof. I felt old on this one. The lunge when we grabbed our back foot and squished it to the butt… I got a bad cramp at the back of my left knee. Ouch I hate Charlie horses. Need 🍌 My basement is SUPER cold right now 🥶. So no matter how warm i get I’m still colder than I should probably ever be to do a splits flow. Or any flow. Last time I did this one like a month and a half ago I remember wiping the sweat off of my brow onto the shin of my pants.. but today I’m like OOOOWIIEEEEEE. No where near my shin.
Wow! I’ve come far! I can grab my feet with both hands and good posture upright. I was almost into the splits-except I swear my legs are not common shape. Cuz my thigh is curved away from the ground and my shin will NOT touch the floor when we push it into the ground. (Edit 10/24- excuses… delusional) In standing splits when I drove my leg up, it went higher with no “uuugggh “and then ow! I can see so much improvement in movement quality, coordination, flexibility strength and just general control of my body. Thank you. I thinking about doing this 30 day again.
Girl, your legs are fully at your edge so the muscles are stretched TIGHT! No more space.there’s nothing different about them!! Now, the legs sit on the floor like normal-continuing goal= contact with the floor consistently , front heel to back toes. Hips more open= every pose improves. I scoot my heels out to my edge every time in malasana and skandasana. Charlie says breathe through discomfort :). I listened IT WORKS! Don’t be afraid to be uncomfortable!!!
Thank u for the amazing practice.. my standing splits still look more of a half moon 😂😂😂 and yet I’m almost on the floor when doing ordinary splits… another thing wanted to ask: does anyone hv the same problem: shins do not touch the floor in low lunges… I can only feel my knee and the front of the foot but not shin… feels really strange… 🙄

This was an excellent front splits class. Progressive work sinking down into the hips but working on building strength at the same time.
