    Same problem here, but I learned a couple of things from this video, so I'll check the same things you pointed out. Last summer (first usage) it ran fine. After I mowed a strip of grassy area (usually in 15 minutes), I put the mower just inside the garage to let things cool down, but I did take the battery out and set it on my workbench. I waited about 3 hours to plug it in to charge, and then watched the lights that let me know it was charged. Before usage the next week I would check the lights by plugging it back into the charger before putting it back into the mower. This year nothing works, huge disappointment for me. I will not pay $200 for a new battery (total ripoff) so if I can't get it to charge, I'll call Hart like this guy. I had an old electric that I used for 15 years and I should have order a new one from Connecticut. Nice video and good information... wish I had seen this before I bought the Hart last year.

      Yeah cuz every time I go to like Walmart or Lowe's or whatever I see some nicer and better brand rechargeable lawn mowers I thought about it and I said no. I will never buy any type of rechargeable battery lawn mower. Not even a riding mower. I would just stick for gas for a while until they find out a new way on how to make these batteries last longer and run better and it's ridiculous on prices and what they're asking for them when they don't do nothing but a 30-minute job. What is also, sadder is that I knew somebody who bought $189 rechargeable weed eater from home Depot and they said it only last maybe about 20 minutes on charge and it's only good enough to do like a small yard. Right now my heart lawn mower is still in the shed. It has not been used in a few months, but I'll have to run it eventually to keep the battery alive, but it's basically a secondary lawn mower/ backup

    The fast charger works awesome and came with my new blower this year! So far no problem with the batteries! I love hart tools. Brandon your battery might have went to low on charge and charger can't charge it. You need to jump start it with a car charger that charges lithium batteries! Only need it on car charger about 10 seconds so you don't ruin battery! Thanks for great video! ❤👍

      my warranties already up on this battery. I think when I talked to him on the phone if I remember correctly, I think the battery was a 2-year warranty and the lawn mower itself was 3 years. And if I needed to get any other additional parts for the lawn mower itself, I'd have to drive 2 and 1/2 hours to the closest repair shop to get them

I bought the damn thing brand new and the battery came dead on arrival Instead of replacing the Battery they told me I had to take a return of money instead of the replacement . I mean it's a good lawn mower, but I end up already buying a gas mower last week. I like it a lot better but this battery didn't last not even 2 years. It was the second summer having it and it died within the middle of it. So heart did send me My brand new battery but it took like a week to get it but I haven't tried charging it yet. It's still in the bag I haven't tried seeing if it would charge or not but they claim it's a brand new battery I looked at. Looks like it's brand new. They said they don't refurbish those out. So yeah it didn't even have a brand on the battery either. It look like this is the cheap all generic trying to batteries or wherever they come from. I will never buy a rechargeable lawn mower again because for the price I could buy a new lawn mower for that price. If I buy anything that's chargeable it just be drills or weed eaters and stuff but nothing like this

      @@WorldWideMediaGroup1One thing I noticed is that the manual says to keep the battery about 50% charged if you don't plan on using the mower for at least several months. So I try to keep the battery at that level when I'm done with the mower. It also says to remove the battery from the charger once charging is 100%. Did you try to maintain the battery in this fashion?

    • @WorldWideMediaGroup1
      @WorldWideMediaGroup1  10 месяцев назад

      Yes see. I never knew that because when I talked to customer support they didn't tell me that they told me that the battery would not die 100%. They told me to has backup batteries in it so it doesn't completely die. But where I live out of Florida by grass grows every 3 weeks and I used it. I would say a roughly once or twice a month. I think my issue was is that I left it on charge a few times or more and it got left charging overnight and it was probably overcharged. I don't know. It was my first rechargeable lawn mower so I just made the video to show others the problem that I had so where they know what they were getting theirselves into. But looking at the reviews on Walmart and stuff they were pretty bad about battery life but mine didn't come with a manual. That's what was weird but in the replacement battery it actually came with a manual this time

    • @WorldWideMediaGroup1
      @WorldWideMediaGroup1  10 месяцев назад

      The only time I would actually charge the battery would be on days. I know I'm going to be off of work cuz it takes 4 hours to charge and I have the original charger but it was always in my garage in like a hot area but as far as using it wise I had it on the higher setting and most of the time I did on dry grass not wet but otherwise the battery was well taken care of. As far as it wasn't dropped, it never gotten water. And every time I got done with the mower I took the battery out and I washed a long more off and let it completely dry. But the battery is never been any wet conditions

    • @WorldWideMediaGroup1
      @WorldWideMediaGroup1  10 месяцев назад

      Batteries intend to go bad they claim they have 2 -3 year life span my never lasted 2 years. If you let it in the rain may have got destroyed. They are also heat sensitive don't ever overcharge them used them often to keep them alive. If yours in under warranty call the manufacturer and let them know what's going on. We'll send you a new battery not a warranty or you can do is buy another one who's batteries attempt to go out and junk. It's usually the batteries don't go bad. I don't know much about the chargers for the weed eaters or the blowers . People also have problems with those including drills doing the jump start trick with these batteries does not work either. I tried that and it doesn't help it for making a charge. Batteries tend to get spark even when it's not charging anymore because it's still intend to hold use because it still has power inside doesn't mean it's going to charge. My recommendation is purchasing the note that really or call the manufacturer these batteries are not returnable and cannot be refurbished or we don't. They can only be recycled their only one time use. I hope this helps you let me know what the out come is this also help others understand. About the battery and good luck to you.
      Tip if it's a hart battery try tolding down the battery indicator button for 30 seconds if that doesn't work on the charger in the battery in a different outlet with or without surge protector if it still doesn't work. Try to charge it again if you see no blue lights blinking when it is charging, that means the battery is completely dead and needs to be replaced.The battery is showing only 1 blue flashing indicator light when you hit the indicator button. That means the battery still has juice but not enough to run your devices
      Please remember the charge that comes with the batteries are a low voltage charger in the light on the charger is steady red means battery is bad cant recognize it

    • @WorldWideMediaGroup1
      @WorldWideMediaGroup1  8 месяцев назад +2

      You have to remember these batteries cannot be fixed or refurbished. That's why the company does not allow you to return them. They will send you a new one regardless. They just want you to recycle the old one. The point is that the video just self-explains what causes these batteries to die and how to prevent them from dying and where you can get a replacement. I've had people that I know locally in people on my channel who have asked me how do you get a replacement. Not very people know how to so I gave people the contact directly to heart about getting their replacement battery. These batteries have a 3-year warranty free at charge. As long as you have the lawn mowers model number including in the batteries, you will be able to get a new one. This was my first rechargeable lawn mower. I am not an expert with these batteries. I do not know much about them and since these batteries don't always go out all the time is what heart is telling me and there's not a lot of videos posted about these problems. I thought I would help other people out and post a video so it shows them that these batteries are junk and they're a waste of money and tells them that they need to stick with gas have any questions you may email me or come in here. This video was made after this battery was already shot and was no longer working. My replacement battery has lasted me longer than the original battery and the way that it's sitting right now is the only way that you can sit it for it to charge. Battery is inserted in the lawn mower. It faces down when it charges it faces up. And that's a lot of money for what you spent for that lawn mower. I would take it back while you had the chance. If the lawn mower is returnable before your return policy expires through Walmart, I would take it back and get a gas powered. If you can no longer return it, you can always call heart customer support to get the free battery replacement
