  • Ok ok I'm kidding, obviously.
But when Bahe´ reached out and asked if I'd review their new GROUNDED, minimalist hiking boot, of course I was stoked to oblige.
Any pair of wide toe grounded shoe is going to make me a happy camper. But the details that went into these boots are impeccable.
I thoroughly believe this is the healthiest shoe on the planet, not just for the physical structure or grounding, but they also use recycled and renewable materials everywhere possible.
This is the next evolution in footwear.

oh wow. this is EXACTLY the kind video i adore completely. focusing on selfcare and taking us along for the journey. i always appreciate that you leave certain "rituals" in your videos like taking your shoes and socks off and the relief that follows, and also braiding your hair. it's hard to describe but stuff like that always feels so peaceful and healthy, almost like time isn't a factor and that we have all the time in the world. i think some nature videos can feel a little fast and anxious when there's lots of cuts and fast pacing so your editing style is massively appreciated. also a very uneducated question incoming: does it not feel restricting to wear socks inside "barefoot" shoes? i thought half the point of them was to give your toes lots of room to spread and flex, do socks restrict that at all? (though, your sock game is a lot stronger than my boring white ankle socks). this video has inspired me to save up for some barefoot boots for work, maybe i'd be happier hehe. thanks for the upload during such a busy time! hope the fam are loving the summer! PS. your body is so in shape and toned (especially your calves) has a workout video been a thought? xx

Hi Bella! I'm forever appreciative of the subtleties that catch your eye. Yes, the rituals are important to help get my mind and body ready for practice. I'm such a vagabond of a yogi- the ritual itself is my yoga studio, making me feel safe and at home wherever I roam. I appreciate your thoughts on my slow edit style as 'slow down' is definitely an underlying message in my videos. Regarding the socks lol... yes they are restricting. If it wasn't for filming I would have worn toe socks, maybe even separators. I might cover this at some point! Definitely recommend these boots. Truly my strength focused yoga practice is the reason for my toning. And walking around with heavy packs is certainly one of my workouts so... these are my workout videos lol. Thinking I might start to cover some of my other sports... mountain biking, pickleball, paddle boarding, swimming, surfing... what do you want to see?

@@groundedash i can definitely understand the ritual being a part of it, it's like getting ready for bed and you get into comfy clothes or strip down and make sure your bed and pillows are all soft and the whole process makes you feel safe and ready. are they (and other barefoot boots) the kind of thing you can wear without socks? i always feel a little less restricted when wearing flats and canvas shoes sockless (though i'm not a sandal/flipflop gal) i'd definitely love footwear being covered in a video, the seperators are interesting too! ooo i didn't think about your yoga practices shaping your body like that! i really thought you were going to say something like pistol squats and about your home gym lol. i'm a cyclists myself so a mountain biking video would be right up my alley, but would adore a swimming video so much! i don't get to visit water at all really since i live in a mainland town, i love water and the beach. thanks for getting back!

Sights and smells are definitely my favorite part of nature. Great video, ❤ the socks, BTW.

those tight socks kind of beat the purpose of barefoot shoes. Try some loose fit or even toe socks. You're gonna like it.

I agree these ones are a bit too squeezy for my toes, most the socks I wear are much looser or even toe socks under boots… these were simply the esthetic I wanted for my video 😉

Seen some of your other videos and this one confirms my suspicions that you are not a barefooter, just posing as one. showing up at a trail wearing shoes, putting boots on after only a few miles and of course those soft delicate souls. Do what you do and be who you are . I have no problem with that but don't try to pass as someone your not

    • @groundedash

If ‘only a few miles’ makes me a poser, then you’re right.
Most of what I can say in response here is voiced in the video that clearly wasn’t watched before commenting.
Maybe go do that, and also try to get to know me:
-I’ve never claimed to be a full time barefooter. At one time yes I was, but seasons have taught me never to lean too far in any one direction. The barefoot walks I document here are one of my many natural health/ rewilding practices.
-These excursions are not casual walks. 3 mile weighted barefoot rucks are very challenging to me and have caused overuse injury to my feet, so I no longer do it. Enter these rad Bahé boots and my very pure reason to promote them.
-My strength focused yoga practice looks soothing to the viewer but is challenging af. Someone asked for a workout video so yall can see where my physique comes from, but this- rucking and yoga- are the mains. My videos come off as soothing, but in truth you’re witnessing my beast mode.
-This is 💯 a solo project, start to finish. There’s a LOT of bts back and forth yall will never see… so my application and removal of my shoes is quite authentic. I really prefer keeping them off but I get tired and want to tell the real story of the day’s adventure.
-My savage body comes with a civil mind. I spend an approximate hour of foot care- DAILY- to prevent my feet from cracking or becoming over calloused. I even recently made my own tallow beeswax mask for this purpose. I sleep with socks if it’s not too hot. Nice floppy ones that don’t cramp my toes.
-I began this channel to develop the courage to finally build the yoga training program I’ve been creating for nearly a decade, but I’m terrified to speak to a camera (hence, always voiceovers). To overcome this, literally all I am doing is documenting what I am doing for my personal wellness, whether anyone sees it or not. This is evident in the age progression of my videos. No distortion or fanfare. It’s a fun creative outlet, and I hope it helps me eventually serve my larger vision.
-Comments like these feel like a punch in the face. Thanks for helping me get a tougher chin. Onward and upward!
