Simple, excellent advice! I’ve been experimenting with getting grounded for just over a year now. Unfortunately, we have bark scorpions all over this area, so I can’t be barefoot as much as I’d like, but I bought a grounding mat and I find that it really makes a difference in my pain level. Even after the first time or two using it (I sleep with my lower legs and feet on it) I could tell a difference - and it has helped more, the more I remember to use it (rest my feet on it while I work at my computer, etc). I’m glad you did this video, and hopefully some of the critics will do some research of their own and improve their lives.
In a similar vein I switched mattresses to a japanese style one that's 3 inches, all cotton and resting on tatami mats. Much better for my back and no more sleeping on polyester
When I worked in the electronics mfg indusry, one had to be grounded to bleed off any static charge build-up that could arc and damage sensitive components. Best solution I found was a special model of Crocs, typically black, with conductive material molded in. Barefoot was not an option, but these shoes met the grounding requirement, were safer around metal and glass in mfg, AND were extremely comfortable.
Same. I'm 6'-6". My job and the work I do around the property requires stacked heel boots but when I'm in the house, barefoot. A lot less back and hip issues. Also, got to let your feet breathe. Shouldn't keep them cooped up in socks all the time. Perfect environment for all sorts of other issues.

I walk barefoot outdoors as much as I possibly can. There’s a free movie on YT called “Grounded” that explains the tested and proven science about the electrical aspect. It’s true and it will change your life.
If I'm not mistaken, barefoot shoes are for the foot to be as if it was barefoot, vs constricted in a traditional shoe, but it is Not grounded, as most are still rubber soles, or similar. There are however "earthing" shoes, aka "grounding" shoes and sandals etc that relay some of that negative electricity found in the earth that you normally need to be barefoot to receive. ...Are there any "barefoot" shoes that are also truly "earthing" shoes? That would be awesome. ...Great videos, keep up the good work.

As a sound engineer who is currently learning a lot more about electronics, I think you're onto something big. The body is mostly an electrical organism, where chemicals move place to cause electrical differentials (neurotransmitters, minerals, etc. changing place.) However, people forget about the total amount of "electrons" that exist inside our body, that align with the planet we exist on. Our planet is constantly being charged by the Sun with wave after wave of plasma, which contains charged particles that changes the charge of the Earth at any given moment. The Earth is a "sink" for this charge due to its massive size. I believe Tesla thought of the Earth as a giant Capacitor/Inductor that could ring at a specific frequency, that he could harness the energy coming from the Sun and beyond by tapping into it in a very specific way, just as we do with a Colpitts Oscillator, tapping into the power supply by using capacitance and inductance to create a resonant "tank circuit". Science is very new. It's a few hundred years old at best. Nature is timeless - as long as the Universe has existed (13.7billion years by our current understanding). We are adapted and optimised to our environment in so many different ways. I trust in Nature a LOT more than I do Science, even though Science can catch up at a later date and provide us with useful insights. Science, however, isn't current. It can't give us results right now. It's latent and will always be. This is why I trust Nature first, then Science later as a verification tool.

Do you hear a constant ringing in your ears that everyone puts down to tinnitus, but you know isn't? As someone who's flat footed and was always suggested as a kid to get a heal and ankle and arch support. My common sense said those doctors were wrong. We weren't meant to live that way. You support that arche and it can't support itself.
I’m in a similar situation. I’ve noticed that very stiff pants or restrictive pants add to my back pain as well.
Sciatica is a b*tch.
Long time fan aand Chiropractor here. I recommend barefoot all the time. I'm pretty young and have only been in practice for a little over a year, but us younger guys are far more open to things outside of just "adjusting".
Bare foot folks give the comment a like! 🦶🏻
i just learned a little about grounding from a couple of people i know ... they have grounded bed sheets with a silver threading and a wire that plugs into the negative terminal on an outlet ... says it does wonders for their sleep ... and they also go barefoot a lot of the time ... who knew, go figure.
I cut the cord off my toaster. I touch the positive to my forehead and the negative to my toes. First night I woke up three days later. I was on the floor with nasty muscle pain. Gonna try again. I’ll lyk how it goes.
@@jackhenry290I bathe with my 4slice toaster regularly it's been excellent for my mental health! PROHO in action!
You mean ground terminal, not negative.
"Science is a few hundred years old at best" nice.
@@14jc47LOL. He is able to benefit from being a “sound engineer” without going to engineering school. Any other engineer would know that science has been happening for millennia, long before the scientific revolution.
Your body takes in the etheric energy, the chi, at the solar plexus, not the feet.
It's been nice now that the snow has passed! The earth barefoot feels great after a long day of sweaty boots machining metal.
Yep, and barefoot foot running is amazing as well.
I use a grounding mat in my bed
OK
I'll bite
Grounding in bed?
It never seems like chiropractors are actually able fix anything, I've always thought of it similar to a massage in terms of what it does for you
You'd trust a chiropractor? Reevaluating everything you've said.
Dude, back pain is no joke. You'd buy snake oil if they told you that it would fix your back.
"SHOES ARE THE PRISONS OF THE FEET"--my dad born, 1929 he NEVER wore rubber sneakers.
I’m wearing barefoot shoes exclusively for about a year now. Best idea ever
I hear ya man.
That's why I only wear Crocs now.
God told Moses to take off his shoes. “For you tread on Holy Ground”. Also people who wear shoes in their own home are pure animals.
Be careful and deliberate. And mindful too. Great moto
I’m gonna try this myself. All of this makes so much sense.
Union millwright welder 30yrs service 😆 barefoot tomorrow...bet it'll be my last 😆 but ill be grounded 🇺🇸
Here in Australia today I've been laying in the grass next to a creek watching RUclips and a danger noodle snuck up on me 😅 i dove one way and he slithered the other, then i went back to RUclips. Act accordingly
Perhaps Indian moccasins might be worth looking into.
Can't wait to see the follow-up video after something breaks your foot or toe.:)
ProHo takes responsibility for his own personal safety. No Nannys need apply.
The best comfortable and healthest are clarks ACTIVE AIR a moccasine with WIDE TOE BOX and a remarkable sole great reviews
Thank you,Cody. I appreciate you doing a video on the Alaskan Boots.
By grounding yourself and drinking lots of water, you become more alkaline. Those funny-looking communication towers that make your ears ring and dehydrate your body while you sleep....THEY hate when you break their brain cancer causing electromagnetic circuit...Hope nobody knows what I mean.
Do you hear a constant ringing in your ears that everyone puts down to tinnitus, but you know isn't?
Do you feel a tingling in your hands and feet on occasion or perhaps constantly, especially at night when you are relaxing? Do your sinuses feel like they are "dialating" as if from eating a hot pepper for no apparent reason?
And/Or,
Do you wake up feeling super dehyrdrated in the morning?
If so welcome to my world...The wonderful World of Gates and Gang coming to a cell tower near you...
God Bless

@@SisterShirley Unfortunately here is another. Graphene is pressure activated. Clench your teeth and tighten your jaw muscles. Graphene will cause a high pitch noise in your head.
The louder the noise the more graphene in body. Tell everyone you know to try...God Bless
I'm seeing more and more of this idea of grounding and going barefoot and I'm open to the idea as you said you need to be reasonable, but there are many times I could go barefoot, but here's my question. Is there any sort of evidence or something that's measurable that tells us it's beneficial for us health wise? I'm just asking because I truly want to know what and how this all works. I guess either way I'm definitely going to give it a try when I can. God bless you and your family love your videos
No, it's woo-woo. Educate yourself on basic electricity and then come back and research human grounding.
Humans are meant to be connected to the earth. Maybe not full time but regular grounding makes a lot of sense to me.
If you think shoes 'unground' you...stop doing drugs
@@xxxlonewolf49 some do and most do to a degree.
@@xxxlonewolf49 All im saying is i could 💯 see how a direct connection to the earth could be beneficial. not to mention the fact that it makes ur feet stronger
@CainnechK Strengthing the feet is good, agree on that. Sayings it's for "grounded" ELECTRICITY is hippie nonsense. That is the same nonsense as 'healing crystal'.
@@xxxlonewolf49 yea i agree that crystals are totally BS but i see how having direct contact to the earth could be beneficial. I’m really not convinced either way but i don’t think it should be totally dismissed
East coast men knoweth when to wear foot wear
Would leather moccasins work for grounding?
No try the copper ones
@@jackhenry290 where do you get copper shoes?
@@brotherruddlock8905 From the copper cobbler, of course.
@@teebob21 😱……..how do you know about the cobbler ???
You'll move like a ninja the second time you drop something while barefoot.
Yep. I second that
Physical therapy > chiropractor
Fix the root of your problem, not addressing the symptoms as part pf the chiropractor business model.
Address your core weakness and maintain lumbar and hip mobility.
Just because it’s common, doesn’t make it right.
just make sure you dont do this in spots where there are hook worms and whatever else!
Das Boot. Cody is a tall champion.
Now that you say this i want to see the video with you in your birthday shoes riding the snowmobile/motor bike with tank treads in the snow 😂😂😂... My doc swears by these toe shoes she wears basically rubber wrapped round yur foot and toes. She wears them everywhere while working, to the grocery store, playing with the kiddos probably even in the winter being in Northern Illinois thats sayin' somethin'
As a man with a foot fetish, I truly support this idea of naked feet. The only thing that I find more appealing is a well fitted cranial rug.
