  • After a judge formally sentenced Alex Murdaugh for the 22 financial crimes he pled guilty to, the convicted family killer chuckled when the state pointed out he may be eligible for parole depending on how he behaves in jail. Murdaugh was originally charged with 101 crimes, but the disgraced attorney took a plea agreement dropping dozens of the charges against him. Earlier this year, Murdaugh was found guilty of murdering his wife, Maggie, and son, Paul.

I will add to the voices here that Judge Newman has done a spectacular job for 47 years! He, unlike Murdaugh, does not have to raise his voice to make a point. He is thoughtful and deliberate in his comments. He speaks with authority, wisdom and a vast knowledge of the law. This amazing Judge is a true gentleman, serving justice with honor. I hope the State of South Carolina honor his distinguished career in some way. I hope he has a long, happy and peaceful retirement! We were all fortunate to see how a true professional works.
May Murdaugh never get out or have the opportunity to parasitize anyone else.

Only Paul, Maggie and someone who worked on the property was there. Can't remember his name. I've heard people say Paul did it, well Paul really loved ms satterfield and she loved him. She was like a mother to him. Ms. Satterfield did not die immediately. It was over 2 weeks that she died. I would never defend this horrible man but he didn't have anything to do with me satterfield except steal from her children, he stole everything from her children and left them knowingly homeless.
