- Murdaugh was sentenced to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to 22 federal financial crimes charges. He was also ordered to pay more than $8.7 million in restitution.
He shouldn’t not be breathing right now… he executed his wife and CHILD!

Those funds are likely in a protected Trust account that the State or Federal government has no access to or even information on. Alex will never admit he killed Maggie and Paul and he will never disclose anything about where he put all that money. Greed was the driving force behind everything this man did, and still does, in my opinion. These hunts for that money are a huge waste of taxpayer funds.

So forty years is state prison and then forty years in federal. Is that right
27 years in State prison and 40 yrs in federal - BUT "concurrently" means they count the first 27 (bc he got sentenced at state prison first) towards the 40 federal. Then he potentially could get out for good behavior, etc with parole. This is all speculative with the big IF his murder sentence gets overturned....

You must serve 82% of your sentence in federal before you MIGHT be considered for parole.

There was no point in this...He was already serving Life Without Parole.
But this kind of seals the deal. Even if he had made it out of the life sentences, another 40 years would be sure to seal the deal.

This guy is quickly given a prison term, and Trump is still walking free for greater crimes. It's disgusting. How special treatment is given to a certain few. America sucks. The judicial system sucks. This country is on a downhill spiral. We are going down because we are weak.
How come this guy couldn't get his trial delayed and delayed. Why couldn't this guy get special treatment. He did almost the same as Trump. Trumps crimes are even worse.
