I'm older and I've been in so much trouble while I was the victim.. answer me why i got handcuffed arrested and court when I was assaulted?? There are no reasons why, out there good or bad, white or black. It's pretty disgusting.

      Yeah, his parents failed for sure - is that his fault? Dude was born a crack baby - then was diagragnosed with schizophrenia. He was off his meds because when he got out of jail and had to wait months to get back and see the doc - how does that happen - the system not only failed him but it failed public safety. You think that the jail or a social worker would be involved to help him but nah - dude is on his own - maybe he should have made better arrangements from behind bars for when he got out, but let's face it - America does not do a great job of looking after their sick and if they don't have money - every man for themself. I'm not saying that this type of behavoir is at all acceptable - I'm just saying the deck is stacked against him. All these people doing well who preach personal responsibility forget that they were born in a loving home in a safe neighbourhood, got rides to extra cirricular activies and got help paying for their schooling - it's rare someone born as a crack baby in the hood without a dad and a mental problem suceeds - they become criminals but I'm not sure they were just born that way. America can afford to do a better job - this wouldn't happen in Canada and if it did Canadians would be upset that he was let loose without any oversight or access to his meds. It's just like you guys with guns - guns aren't a problem - it's the sick people who shoot the guns - then you realize the sick person who did it was on his own - same people who love guns and preach personal responsibility are the same people who have no interest in supporting public healthcare. They just want these people to disappear - lock them up and throw away the key. Well, I sure hope that satisfies their need for "justice" and law and order because it is the most expensive way to handle people like this. An once of prevention - treating the guy like a human instead of a monster and menance - and access to healthcare costs cents on the dollar however there is no will for it. The system worked for the people in control - piss on everyone else.

    • @controlclerk
      @controlclerk 4 месяца назад +19

      @chrisofficer4292 "all these people doing well who preach personal responsibility"
      The sad thing is you think it's only people "doing well" who think people should be held accountable for their actions. I came from teenage parents, a broken home, an abusive father, and spent time as a teenager in state custody. Most of my adult life has been paycheck to paycheck. I've had to make sacrifices to ensure my wife and kids had food on the table.
      Not once did I think "the system" had anything to do with my station in life. I've worked for everything I have, which may not be much, but it's what I've earned. Stop blaming other people for the decisions you make and their consequences.
      Furthermore- just getting a diagnosis of schizophrenia isn't a free pass to being a sociopath. My friend's grandfather lived well into his 80s with schizophrenia. His wife would literally tell him to "knock it off" when he started acting weird. Once you're aware of the problem, it can be managed.

And not being able to get access to adequate mental health services is a huge problem in this country, regardless if he could ever be a functioning member of society with the property help. The system has caused him to commit crimes and be so violent? Sounds more like that's his own choice!
    I am poor BUT I DON'T blame the system for all of my bad choices!! Take accountability for your own actions!!!

    It's not a "mental illness" that set him off, it's his parents who never told him no as a child.

      Medication won't stop a person from committing crimes. He made a choice to live a life committing crimes he doesn't want to be accountable for his actions.
