Either way he would be serving a life sentence for the murders of his wife and son.
The case needs to be retried due to jurry tempering, however I am confident a new jury would come to the same conclusion their predecessors did. Either way this confirms he will spend the rest of his life in prison..... good.
But if his murder conviction ever got tossed and its highly possible that could happen thanks to that idiot Becky Hill we'd still have this to fall back on. And 85% of 40 years is 34 years plus he's 55 now so I'd say he's not going anywhere. 😀

While his crimes are financial it is NOT murder. You have to remember where he practiced law and lived. That hate group that the south is well known for still exists and there are factions in that very area. Why do you think people in that town didn't want to talk? Because they scared and no better. And the ones who did talk, which was very few, didn't give any information we already knew from the news media... I spoke to an attorney many years ago in that very area where the conversation shifted to that hate group, which he was admittedly a part of. I've been told by a reliable source that there is indeed a faction in that area . In fact I may have very well been speaking to Mr Murdaugh because I cannot remember the attorneys name. but if it wasn't him it was someone he knows. That group has been silent for many years and they have wised up when it comes to any media attention. Think about what happens when someone becomes a problem in the mafia? Even made men can be outed or whacked if they cause problems or attention. Mr Murdaughs son Buster is standing by his father so don't you think he would know? Also Paul was due to go to court on the death of the young girl in the boating accident days before his murder. These are what I call clues. If he wanted rid of Paul then jail would have been the best and easy choice. Grant it Mr Murdaugh is stupid but why would he had murder to his wrong doings of financial crimes which he knew that the walls were closing in on him? It is clear he loved his son and wife and he is an arrogant thieving prick but he is not a murderer of his wife and son. This is not paint by numbers people but connect the dots and when you are searching for the truth in corruption you will never get all the dots but enough to get the real picture. That is, if you do care about what you are being told. Too many accept everything the media tells them or how those who run our state and country. Those who are satisfied with the way things are in there so matrix don't ask questions they don't care or they just don't want to know. What he has done is no different than most attorneys , judges and government entities here. In fact Soth Carolina is at the top of the list of the most corrupt states. Y'all have NO IDEA!!! LISTEN CAREFULLY ...the justice system is no longer, if it ever was, a place for justice or resolve but rather a platform for entertainment and we all know there is big money in all media platforms. Crime pays and it pays well. While he was falling from grace within that corrupt law community someone made sure he did and his price was being responsible for his loved ones deaths as well as being shown that anyone they don't like is expendable. I would like to interview him imto give him the opportunity of redemptio by telling the truth about the corruption within his circle which most likely will cause his death or he can be a coward and say nothing and live his life behind bars. Why do you think he is isolated from the rest of the prison population?
